Chapter Index

    After spending about two days eating, sleeping, pooping, and observing everything…

    “Jessica, how many advance teams have I seen in the gallery so far?”

    “Hmm… if I remember correctly, there were about 200 teams?”

    Unlike all the fuss in the gallery, despite 200 teams throwing themselves at the “Ancient Empire Flagship,” not a single hair of it was visible.

    Conversely, the “Common Rank Super Dreadnought (Enhanced)” that nobody cared about was appearing disgustingly often.

    “Common Super Dreadnought Enhanced… that seems to be appearing way too frequently.”

    “Yes, the Strategy and Tactics Research Institute just sent their calculations, and even as a rough estimate, it’s over 60-70%.”

    “Tsssssk.”

    And as if to prove that my thoughts weren’t just a hunch, Jessica’s timely input confirmed it.

    Title: The Boss Mob Appearance Rates for This Event That People Don’t Know About.txt

    Author: PeroPeroRoron

    Content: [Image of a toad glowing in fluorescent colors with a mysterious expression]

    To put it super cleanly, it’s as follows:

    Common Super Dread Enhanced = 70%

    4 Major Factions = 25% combined

    Ancient Empire = 5%

    Thank you

    Comments:

    -[Old-timer, couldn’t you have posted this earlier!]

    -[Why are you posting this now?]

    -˪[Why, you ask? Because… it’s fun](Author)

    -˪[What… did you… say…]

    -[A veteran user stirring things up without actually stirring things up, how rare]

    -[This means only the lucky ones will encounter the Ancient Empire Flagship]

    -˪[Is it really lucky to meet something that’s a performance nightmare?]

    Similarly, at just the right time, when a veteran user and regular poster uploaded the appropriate probability calculations(?).

    I realized that the Ancient Empire Flagship was ultimately a kind of Easter egg or hidden piece, and I gained enlightenment while muttering to myself.

    “Jessica, I’ve realized something new.”

    “What is it, Commander?”

    “That we won’t be encountering the Ancient Empire Flagship.”

    “…Hmm.”

    Since this hidden piece requires good luck to encounter, and I’m famous for having no luck, I won’t easily meet it.

    Statistically, I’ll most likely encounter the Common Rank Super Dreadnought (Enhanced), which is the easiest to meet and probably has the lowest rewards…

    To prepare for any potential bad luck, I decided to set up my ships’ equipment with a greater emphasis on defense.

    And after setting up like that…

    “Commander, once we enter the event map and combat begins, what will be our basic strategy?”

    “As we discussed, all special ultra-battleships including the Kraken should wait in the rear.”

    “What about the rest of the ships?”

    “Berial will use the Dreadnought as her flagship and act alongside other user fleets heading to the front with common rank ships.”

    As previously discussed, I planned to use all the common rank ships in my main fleet as meat shields regardless of their class, but…

    Upon hearing my strategy, our Berial said:

    “Commander, if I can get targeting data from the Brawler-class and Khabarovsk, I can guarantee a sufficient level of long-range accuracy.”

    “How good are we talking?”

    “At least 50% hit rate minimum.”

    She was essentially saying, ‘With the right buffs, we can also happily bombard enemies from the rear!’

    After pondering her suggestion for a moment…

    “Well, I guess we’ll have to talk with the allied fleet after entering combat and proceed from there.”

    “Is that what you’re planning?”

    “Yeah, if you set things too rigidly from the start, it can fall apart right away.”

    I decided to adopt the basic stance of ‘We’ll watch from the rear and adjust our actions based on what our allies do!’

    And while continuing to read the posts from the advance teams,

    I kept gathering information about the Common Super Dread whatever and the boss raids of the 4 Major Factions.

    -Peeeeeng… KWANG!

    “Commander, the entire fleet just exited the wormhole.”

    “Oh.”

    -“All fleet, switch to alert status immediately!”

    -“All hands to battle stations!”

    As I regained my senses from the heavy shockwave created by exiting the wormhole,

    I could hear the bustling reactions coming through the fleet communication channel as the entire fleet, including the Hresvelgr I was on, emerged from the wormhole.

    Seeing this, I quickly glanced at the gallery window one last time.

    At that moment, I noticed a provocative post that hadn’t even reached 10 views, deleted it, and issued a 1-day ban to the user.

    After closing the gallery window, I raised my head to check what we’d been assigned.

    Of course, even as I tried to check, my mind was filled with thoughts like ‘It’s probably just going to be that Common Super whatever.’

    But shortly after…

    <Round 3 – Raid Mode>

    <Enemy Type: Ancient Empire Honor Fleet>

    <Current Raid Participants: 1/100>

    <Would you like to start?>

    <Y/N>

    <More than 90% of participants must accept!>

    ‘What the hell is this.’

    Seeing the “Ancient Empire Honor Fleet” clearly stated in the combat start message before my eyes, my brain naturally froze.

    Fortunately, as the participant number indicated, I was the first one to enter this map…

    <Beograd has entered!>

    <Chuming has entered!>

    <Lachukanna has entered!>

    … … …(omitted)… … …

    <Sausage has entered!>

    -[WTF is this]

    -[Wow, so many advance teams went in, but we’re the first to face the Ancient Empire Flagship? lol]

    -[Is this the gallery’s first?]

    -[Being on the same team as Icarus who has terrible luck means we got stuck with a shitty opponent]

    -[LOLOLOL]

    With the alarm sounds of users flooding in one after another, along with those scathing chat messages,

    The ice in my brain finally melted, and I was able to regain my senses.

    And with my recovered senses, I realized that regardless of the enemy, our approach wouldn’t change.

    Users were chattering noisily as soon as they entered.

    Title: Real-time Gallery First Ancient Empire Flagship Encounter Posted?

    Author: Sausage

    Content: [Ancient Empire Honor Fleet encounter message proof.jpg]

    Posted because we got it LOLOLOLOL

    We’re screwed LOL

    Comments:

    -[Oh]

    -[With 200 advance teams plus additional users, there must be 30,000 people doing raids by now, and only now does the Ancient Empire appear]

    -[They said 5% probability but it feels even lower in reality]

    -[GGWP]

    There were even people live-broadcasting to the gallery about encountering the Ancient Empire Flagship.

    Amid this completely chaotic situation, I planned to lead my fleet and provide support from the rear as planned.

    And in response to my approach, the users—perhaps because they’d often seen my fleet copied by NPCs in individual matches (commonly called “N-carus”)—

    And also because my fleet was thoroughly specialized(?) in supporting large-scale fleets,

    And since my ranking was overwhelmingly high here, they seemed to listen to my words smoothly, riding on a kind of “authority” boost.

    The problem arose just when everything seemed to be going smoothly.

    -[Having Kraken and Ouroboros in the back is reassuring]

    -[Agreed]

    <Eniac has entered!>

    -[Hi]

    -[Hello]

    -[Oh, new people coming in]

    -[We still have room for about 2 more people, let’s go when we’re full]

    -[Yeah]

    <Raksha has entered!>

    <Mona Lisa has entered!>

    -[Huh?]

    -[Oh]

    -[Wait a minute]

    Two more user fleets filled the remaining slots.

    One was a massive fleet led by a “Super Carrier” even larger than the Kraken I brought, and the other was a vicious pirate-like fleet specialized in mobility.

    Seeing these two high-rankers—who considered each other archenemies—assigned to the same team, I couldn’t help but sigh.
