Ch.4444. Georgius VS Dragon King Squadron
by fnovelpia
Cancer was originally a 20-player raid boss.
This means it was designed to be tackled by 20 players.
The Path of Light has five branches. The basic strategy for Phase 1 was to have four players clear each path and block Cancer’s resurrection and healing skills.
If even one person made a mistake, everyone would be wiped out—a brutal boss that required retries.
But that was in the game.
This is reality.
This is the world I’ve protected as a hero and seek to rule as a villain.
With that premise, the strategy against Cancer is simple.
Instead of 20 people, just bring a massive horde.
“Urararara!!”
“DIE! YOBBO! DIE!”
“Rest, rest. Silence.”
The villains are grinding down Cancer’s minions while spouting their own mad phrases. They’re also beating up the dazed heroes in the process.
Not only the skilled fighters from the Holy Tree, but my subordinates from Vengeance have joined the battle.
“Nngh, nnnngh…! You inferior species!”
Cancer’s forehead bulges with veins. As he waves his staff, the elite combat units begin to emit a red light.
The elite units go berserk, swinging their massive fists.
“Eeeek! W-wait! I wasn’t told about thi—GAAACK!”
A nearby hero gets sliced apart.
It’s the new Red from Dragon King Sentai.
His upper and lower body separated, he became “new/Red.” He’s dead. Cancer seems to be doing something to his corpse as light swirls around it.
I was hoping he’d slow them down more, but oh well.
While I was watching, Lena approached me.
“I’m a bit curious. Couldn’t you just cut off Cancer’s head with your skill and be done with it?”
“Georgius’s Blue isn’t such a convenient skill. It costs lifespan, you idiot.”
Lua snapped at Lena.
“It’s only 500 meters anyway. Even walking would take just 3 minutes, so sacrifice that much.”
“Georgius can only instantly kill enemies with his scythe if their stats are lower than his. And even then, his lifespan gets reduced by however much the enemy had left. Even if he could kill Cancer, if that thing has 30 years left, Georgius loses 30 years too. Understand?”
“So you were bluffing me too? Georgius, it’s only natural my future is brighter than yours.”
I didn’t answer.
Even if I had stabbed Lena with Death’s Blue, it would have been difficult to kill her instantly.
“Georgius’s Blue should only be used to kill abilities. And even then, the stronger the opponent’s ability, the greater the burden, and if their skill level is higher than Georgius’s Apocalypse level, it’s impossible.”
“Lua, how do you know all this? I don’t think I ever explained it to you. Especially about skill levels.”
Those numbers only appear in my system window, visible only to me.
They’re mentioned in the Nameless ranking, but only as high, medium, or low—not as numbers.
“Um… you talked in your sleep, Georgius.”
“…Have you used Dark Matter on me since then?”
“N-no! I wouldn’t do something that underhanded!”
Lua’s cheeks flushed as she protested.
Something seems suspicious.
“Hmm, I see. Anyway, I do need to use Blue.”
Cancer raises his staff. He’s planning to resurrect his troops.
I can’t let that happen.
“Death’s Blue.”
[CASU■■AERUL■]
My vision inverts. I begin to see the souls that exist in all living things, objects, and even concepts.
I run with my scythe, slipping between the fighting monsters and villains in a straight line. My target is Cancer.
The skill he’s casting.
The soul contained in that skill.
I aim precisely and cut it with my scythe.
The scythe, having harvested the soul, greedily devours the resurrection skill with satisfaction.
“What! Where did my holy power—gah.”
Cancer, confused, gasped as my shadow loomed before him.
“Let me ask you. Is Recter watching this battle?”
“H-how dare you speak the Emperor’s name with that filthy mouth! You inferior species!”
Cancer swings his staff. I kill his skill again.
“Gah.”
Sensing something ominous, his arms began to tremble.
“Want to try again?”
“This…!”
Cancer keeps trying to cast skills. Each time, I absorb the soul with my scythe.
“Try again.”
“Urgh!”
“Go ahead.”
Cancer stops moving. Seems he’s used up all his holy power.
“Then answer my question. Is Recter watching?”
“Kuk… He is watching. How could I show such an unsightly appearance to His Majesty…”
“Good. Recter, you must have heard from Red Dragon. I am Georgius.”
I declared while grabbing Cancer’s head and lifting it. His long hat fell off, revealing his hideous head.
He was bald, but then again, the hair of these monsters is made of such a hard material that it’s debatable whether it should even be called hair.
“Thanks to you, I’ve been growing stronger with my forces. But don’t expect gratitude. My goal is world domination, and you monsters are just annoying obstacles.”
“Ugh, uuugh.”
Cancer began to groan. I had started squeezing his head with my left hand.
“Hahaha! Annihilation! Total annihilation!”
“We’ve taken care of them all!”
The villains had finished off all the monster troops. Cancer’s invincibility buff was gone.
Perfect timing.
“You wanted a duel, didn’t you? Look forward to it. I’ll soon do the same to your head.”
With those words, I activated War’s Red. Without hesitation, I clenched my right fist and launched it at Cancer’s head.
KWAAANG!
With a terrifying boom, Cancer’s outer shell began to crack. I punched repeatedly with all my might. His skull caved in and his neck bones broke. Blood vessels ruptured, and his jaw dislocated, causing his tongue to hang loose without support.
The job was done.
The subjugation of Cancer was successfully completed.
I held up Cancer’s head toward the media helicopters.
“I hope you saw that well! This is the power of villains!”
After shouting boldly, I pulled the switch from Cancer’s head.
A brilliant pattern of orange particles appearing and disappearing repeatedly.
It’s the “Quantum Switch.”
I like it.
I threw the rest to the ground. My subordinates will recover this corpse.
Recter must have witnessed this battle too. I hope he’s looking forward to our encounter.
“VENGEANCE!!!”
Someone charged at me. Quite fast.
A blue dragon coiled around the sword being thrust at me.
It’s Ji Se-hwa.
She broke through the villains to reach here. Impressive spirit.
“Hmm.”
Naturally, I easily stopped her sword.
I trapped the blade precisely with my elbow and knee.
“This is insane…!”
Se-hwa was shocked. I immediately twisted my body and kicked her side. She flew through the air before landing in a defensive position.
“Hand over Pegasus’s switch!”
Shin Yukyong flew in from the right.
No, shouldn’t there be better lines, like avenging fallen crew members or something?
I blocked her with one hand and slammed her to the ground.
“What did you do to Ui-seok?!”
Finally, Kang Yerin jumped in. All their fighting techniques were taught by me. They’re basically inferior versions.
“Clock Out!”
Yerin’s ability is time deceleration. It should only slow me down a little without much effect.
But…
“Hmm.”
This was somewhat unexpected. My entire body completely froze, unable to move. Even my thoughts were trying to stop.
I responded quickly before that happened. I used Dragon’s Eye on Yerin.
[Yellow Cloaker / Kang Yerin]
[Occupation: Hero]
[Rank: S]
[Ability: Time Dragon Noztorm Lv.10]
[Affiliation: Seoul Hero Association]
[Alignment: Neutral/Good]
[Talent: Hero of Light (SSS)]
[ Hero Association President (SSS)]
[ Citizen Hiding Power (A)]
[The greatest weakness of this brilliant strategist is her inability to be honest with her emotions.]
Her ability is level 10?
This is somewhat surprising.
Yerin has never left the Hero Association except when deploying as part of Dragon King Sentai.
That’s why I couldn’t carry out terrorism against her.
I wondered what she’d been doing all this time—was she holed up in a training facility?
Even so, this level of improvement should have been impossible with training alone.
But at level 10, this situation makes sense.
Her ability must have evolved from “time deceleration” to “time stop.”
“Haaaah!”
Yerin threw a punch at me.
Of course, there’s no problem.
If time is stopped, I just need to force it to restart.
“Death’s Blue.”
I accelerated time and positioned myself behind Yerin. She was startled by my disappearance. I delivered a powerful kick to her spine.
“Ugh!”
The three of them collapsed. Lua’s unobservable dark matter amplified gravity and pressed down on them.
“Urrrgh…!”
“Kuk!”
Unable to move under the increased gravity, the three struggled.
I mocked them.
“Still don’t know your place? S-rank heroes? S-Sentai? It’s laughable. This is your level, Dragon King Sentai.”
“You… bastard…!”
Blood burst from Se-hwa’s lips as she desperately tried to move her jaw.
“You must have a grudge against me. But that’s your karma. I heard all about your atrocities from Red Dragon. I was appalled. Why are we villains when we do the same things, while you’re heroes?”
“The same…?!”
Yukyong gritted her teeth.
“Yes. That’s why I attacked you. Be grateful. Thanks to Vengeance, Dragon King Sentai can still exist as heroes.”
“Sophistry…!”
“Sophistry, you say? Just now, it was the villain alliance that defeated Cancer. Without us, you would have fallen and all the hostages would have died. Do you think the public would still recognize you as heroes?”
“So what, are you saying you should be a hero instead?!”
Se-hwa struggled violently. I laughed softly.
“Of course not. We are villains. Villains have their own rules.”
Cancer’s barrier begins to collapse.
Perfect timing.
I made a communication.
“Georgius to all villains. The buildings inside the barrier will start collapsing now. Each villain is to use their abilities to prevent the collapse of the Ko Gangseok Foundation, D&P Finance, and Blue Sky Capital—these three corporate headquarters.”
The villains moved according to my orders. Lua also withdrew her dark matter, releasing Dragon King Sentai.
“Collapse? What do you mean?”
Yerin looked at me.
“Cancer’s barrier is the type that destroys everything inside. He never intended to let the hostages live.”
“That’s…! Then, what about the other two buildings?!”
“You coward! Are you going to let the rest die?!”
Se-hwa’s words made me laugh mockingly.
“What nonsense. You’re the ones who should protect them.”
