I’m a zombie who at least won’t die in a Level 0 biome.

The S-rank Health stat grants me vitality that prevents death unless my head gets chopped off.

Of course, achieving Health S rank requires many points, but it’s possible thanks to the ridiculous SSS+ Basic Ability backing it up.

This means that even without armor, I generally don’t need to worry about surprise attacks in a Level 0 biome.

That doesn’t make me invincible though, so I still need to be somewhat careful.

I’m not sure how strong the “Corrupted Ogre” will be, but it must be at least an A-rank monster.

Since the Big Rats Mom was B- rank, if we consider this the final boss of the Level 0 biome, it should be A-rank or A+ rank to match the progression.

At that level, even with Health S, I can’t afford to be careless.

I needed to grow as much as possible before then.

    “I’ve packed the doping potions.”

The good thing is that clearing sub-quests gives quite a lot of farming ability points.

The levels gained through hunting are also significant.

My plan is to roam around the Level 0 biome as much as possible before facing the “Corrupted Ogre,” gathering points to learn skills or sub-abilities before tackling it.

    Speed is crucial.

    As fast as possible.

    Quick and decisive.

With overwhelming power, I need to press the attack before the opponent can respond.

For that purpose, I packed 10 low-grade recovery potions.

These are different from the mid-grade recovery potions Ji-hyun brought. They’re follow-up potions made from C+ grade healing herb berries.

She made them for me the night before I left, telling me to take care of myself since I’d be gone for a while.

The recovery amount is less than mid-grade, but still substantial at 28%, and most importantly, they come with a 5% mana recovery increase option, which makes them excellent doping potions for me.

Combined with my [Blue Wave] ring, drinking recovery potions will restore 30% mana per minute for 10 minutes, enough to rampage even in the heart of enemy territory.

The problem is that I don’t know where the goblin village is.

I asked Lulu for a general location, but Lulu doesn’t know everything about this map.

Saying “Didn’t you explore the entire Level 0 biome with your previous owner?” doesn’t work because the map is too vast, and Lulu’s memories are clearly sealed.

I could get fragmented information by taking Lulu around until memories return at certain distances, but for now, I decided to pick one direction and go straight to cover ground quickly.

This is a common mapping method used in farming worlds.

Instead of circling 360 degrees around a pitch-black map like peeling an apple, you go straight in one direction to identify the biome’s limits.

This efficiently reveals how far the Level 0 biome extends, where the biome boundaries change, and what type and level the next biome is.

This was my original exploration plan.

I only switched to the apple-peeling method when the achievement quest appeared.

Now I’ve combined both approaches—checking the Level 0 biome boundary and then circling back to find the goblin territory.

    The scenery passes by quickly.

I leap 150M distances instantly, moving away from the hut.

Heading east, I spot a river connected to the sewers.

In the clear, transparent river, fish swim about, and across the fairly wide river, I can see goblins bathing.

    “Lucky!”

    Isn’t this too fortunate?

    I’m in a good mood.

With really bad luck, it wouldn’t be strange to search for days.

Currently, with mana recovery at 100% every 4 minutes, I can travel almost 3KM. Despite moving in a straight line and refilling mana three times, I still haven’t seen the edge of the Level 0 biome, which means its radius must exceed 10KM.

Finding the edge of the Level 0 biome won’t be difficult.

But searching the entire circumference to find the goblin village is another matter.

I set out with determination to move quickly, and found them at once—how lucky.

    “Lulu has good intuition.”

Of course, it’s too early to conclude I’ve found the village.

Seeing goblins here means this is goblin territory, but the actual village might still be far away.

Still, for someone who’s spent a long time in farming worlds like me, finding a village after spotting goblins isn’t too difficult.

    “Hmm.”

First, I need to cross the river.

There won’t be bridges in uninhabited lands, so I’d need to swim across or find a narrower section. But the goblins might leave before then, or they might spot me and flee while I’m swimming.

The river is too wide to cross in one go.

    “Will this work?”

    Fortunately, my mana had recovered.

I decide to try a technique I’d only thought about before.

It might not work, but I think it will.

    “Hoo.”

Getting as close to the riverbank as possible, I use Leap Slash, and instantly find myself in the middle of the river.

    I jumped 150M with a single leap.

It feels more like “teleportation” actually.

This is where it gets crucial.

Since I’m suspended in the air, I’ll soon fall into the water.

The river is quite wide and deep, so I’d be swept away if I fell in.

Even with my high health and strength, it wouldn’t be easy to escape just by swimming.

    Splash!

As my feet touch the water, I use the water surface as a foothold and execute another Leap Slash.

    Swoosh!

There’s a slightly different feeling of emptiness compared to stepping on solid ground, but what matters is that I leaped.

All skills activate when their conditions are met using mana as a medium.

Whether it’s water, air, sky, ground, or fire.

With each leap, the goblins that appeared small in the distance grow closer.

    One more time.

    One more time.

On the fourth Leap Slash, my feet finally touch the ground, and I cut down three goblins.

    “Kieek!”

The goblins scattered in panic at this sudden ghostly attack.

From their perspective, something went pat-pat-pat from across the river and slashed past them—they couldn’t help but be bewildered.

The six goblins were now reduced to three, who fled in a hurry.

Goblins are a lower-tier monster species, closer to prey than predator.

Their presence in a Level 0 biome already proves they’re bottom-feeders, and they’re the monsters players hunt right after rats, making them nearly last in the hierarchy.

There’s even a saying that goblins can’t win one-on-one against rats.

That’s why, seeing three of their kind die at once, the goblins felt fear and terror rather than anger at the surprise attack, and began to flee.

Survival instinct takes precedence over any foolish notion of retrieving their comrades’ bodies.

They’ve survived until now thanks to that instinct, and I didn’t bother chasing after the scattered goblins.

    I deliberately left some alive.

I choose one of the three and follow it.

Leaving the riverbank, the goblin enters the forest, wanders around, and eventually goes deep into the woods.

There, I find makeshift but substantial barricades and other goblins appearing.

    “Bingo!”

    Today’s my lucky day.

I would have eventually reached the village regardless of which goblin I followed.

    I take out a low-grade recovery potion.

    A sword in one hand.

    A potion in the other.

I charge into the goblin village using Leap Slash.

    “Kieek! Intruder! Kieek!”

Goblins shout in a frenzy and rush to counterattack.

But the stat difference is too great for them to stop me.

    “Block! It’s a monster!”

Charging head-on means goblins spit at me from all directions.

With Leap Slash, it’s hard for them to hit me unless they have exceptional reflexes, but my mana has limits, so I can’t dodge all attacks when standing still.

    [Vitality: 80%]

    [Vitality: 55%]

Seeing my rapidly decreasing vitality, I immediately gulp down a potion.

    [Vitality: 84%]

As my vitality rises and mana recovery increases, I deflect attacks from behind cover and perform my own one-man rampage.

    This is fun.

    Gulp, gulp.

I might look like a potion addict drinking one bottle per minute, but the number of goblins rapidly decreases.

“Crazy human, keurk! Crazy zombie! Won’t die!”

    “Human too strong… kruruk.”

    Crazy zombie…

That was all the goblins managed to say before dying.
