Title: The REAL problem with the event isn’t about capital ships exploding

    Author: Indefatigable

Content: [Image of a standard fleet formation with small ships serving as bait and forward reconnaissance]

You might think this is a minor issue, but

With no small ships for reconnaissance, the hit rate of capital ships will tank dramatically

Heavy assault battleships will basically become useless

It’s just going to be a disgusting slugfest of missing shots over and over

    Comments:

-[What is this even talking about?]

-[Hey veterans, stop talking in code and explain this to me too]

    -[???]

    -[Oh yeah, that’s right]

-[Damn, it’s so exhausting to keep firing until you finally hit something]

    -˪[What does that mean?]

Title: Let me explain what’s happening.txt

    Author: Menaldu

Content: [Image of a toad making jokes about basic fleet composition]

Why is not having small ships a problem?

As mentioned before, in this game, ships are faster than carrier-based aircraft if we’re just talking about ‘speed’

So these small ships zip ahead first to locate enemy fleets, then the super capital ships behind them can snipe the targets

But now there are no small ships

You might think “can’t we just use carrier-based aircraft?” but

They’re so slow that by the time you launch them, they’ll only spot the enemy fleet when the battleships are already meeting each other lol

    Comments:

    -[Oh]

    -[Ah, that makes sense]

    -[But isn’t it just space?]

-˪[Wouldn’t battleship-class and above have wide detection ranges, and since the targets are hard to dodge, wouldn’t everything just hit?]

-˪[Sit down, newbie. Let grandpa tell you an awesome story]

    -˪[Get lost, damn it]

-˪[No, that’s not how it works]

Two rankers simultaneously posted, emphasizing the danger(?) of the event.

Through comments and other posts, other top 10 rankers including Antares and Mona Lisa,

    Along with other top-tier rankers

Except for users who still didn’t understand, those who read these posts immediately grasped the meaning and expressed their disgust.

And as for the remaining users who didn’t understand…

Title: Battleship radar isn’t omnipotent, you idiots

    Author: Aroma

Content: [Image of radar settings for a regular-grade battleship]

If a battleship tries to calculate firing solutions on its own and just blasts away, most shots will miss

You absolutely need observation ships to correct the margin of error

And can you send those expensive and slow (compared to small ships) massive capital ships to the front, exposing them to enemy fleet bombardment?

    No way

Anyway, that’s why rankers and veterans are freaking out

To win this event, spotting the enemy first is more important than having dozens of powerful capital ships

    Comments:

    -[Damn]

-[So what are we supposed to do?]

    -˪[Figure it out yourself lol](Author)

    -˪[Oh]

    —————————————–

With such clear and concise explanations popping up,

They were beginning to understand what they needed to do in the upcoming event.

However, realizing what to do and actually being able to do it were two different matters.

Title: What’s the answer? ‘Electronic warfare cruisers’

    Author: Anonymous

Content: [Image of regular-grade electronic warfare cruiser specifications]

Oh, having trouble finding enemy fleets?

Electronic warfare cruisers have ridiculously wide detection ranges, so just use those and you’re good

    Comments:

-[You can’t use just any electronic warfare cruiser, you must use ones with fire control functions]

    -˪[Can’t I use regular grade?](Author)

-˪[Regular grade can only do stealth detection, aircraft debuffs, or missile accuracy reduction]

-[There are fire control specialized versions]

-˪[What’s the difference from the regular ones?](Author)

    -˪[Yes]

-˪[Not only does it increase range, but it also has functions to increase firing range and accuracy correction for the entire fleet]

    -˪[Holy shit]

    -˪[Wow](Author)

-˪[But you can only get these through gacha lol]

    -˪[What a crappy game](Author)

    —————————————–

“…Are you saying that only ships obtained through dimensional causality fixation are capable of this?”

    “Yes, exactly.”

Jessica, who had been looking at the gallery posts with me, nodded after reading through them.

Then, unintentionally emphasizing her large chest by folding her arms, she put on a confident expression.

“Then our fleet has nothing to worry about! We have the Khabarovsk-class!”

But when I realized why Jessica was showing such confidence, I shook my head and said:

“Jessica, our Khabarovsk doesn’t have fire control functions.”

    “What?”

At my words, Jessica momentarily looked dumbfounded.

Then, as if that couldn’t possibly be true, she began listing the Khabarovsk’s brilliant functions.

    “Commander, the Khabarovsk-class is SSS-grade.”

    “That’s right.”

“It can detect both stealth and cloaking simultaneously, while also jamming missiles and torpedoes.”

    “Yeah.”

“On top of that, it can make carrier aircraft lose direction or self-destruct from control loss, or even fry and shoot them down with overwhelming electronic warfare output alone.”

    “Mm-hmm, of course.”

“And it can extend detection range by launching drones, right?”

    “Yes.”

After saying all this, Jessica raised her distinctive black rabbit ears upward in an expression of incomprehension…

“But why doesn’t it have fire control-related functions?”

    “It’s for balance, what else?”

    “Ah.”

“If one ship could do everything, that would really break the game balance.”

Since this was originally a game, there was a very important reason why one ship couldn’t solve everything—for the sake of ‘balance’.

“Remember what happened to the ‘Bahamut-class medium cruiser’ we saw in the event shop before?”

“…Oh, you mean how that all-purpose ship turned into garbage?”

    “Exactly.”

Due to the game’s nature, if one ship could “solve everything by itself,” it would become boring.

The brutal nerfing of updated ships was the same before and after I quit the game.

Unless they were like the Kraken, which “almost no user had obtained” and thus avoided nerfs due to lack of data,

Only ships like the Khabarovsk that were “deliberately designed with weaknesses” could survive for a long time.

And similar reactions appeared in the gallery as well…

Title: Can I just use Khabarovsk for electronic warfare cruiser?

    Author: Anonymous

Content: [Image of Khabarovsk-class integrated into a fleet]

They say Khabarovsk is the pinnacle of electronic warfare cruisers

If I have this, can I definitely pull my weight in the event?

    Comments:

    -[No]

-[Having a Khabarovsk is good, but it has absolutely no fire control abilities so it’s useless]

    -˪[This](Author)

-[What’s needed for this event is fleet firing range and accuracy, but Khabarovsk doesn’t provide those buffs]

-[It does increase detection range, but that doesn’t change firing range, so yeah]

    -˪[Wouldn’t it work for missiles?]

-˪[Except for some special ammunition types, most calculations are done by the ship itself, so if it’s beyond the ship’s range, missiles turn into rockets]

-[Why does Khabarovsk have every other function but not fire control?? lol](Author)

    -˪[That’s how game balance works?]

-˪[If Khabarovsk had that too, it would be overpowered and get nerfed into oblivion]

-˪[That’s why Bahamut went from being the ultimate medium cruiser to garbage]

    -˪[I see](Author)

    —————————————–

    “Well, unfortunate but realistic.”

“In a way, it’s all about survival.”

Having accurately assessed the current situation, we decided to search the trading market for a ship that could provide fire control buffs in place of the Khabarovsk.

But the moment we entered the trading market.

    “…Oh, we’re screwed.”

I found myself clicking my tongue at a situation worse than expected.

    And separately from that thought…

    —————————————–

Title: I’m genuinely curious about something

    Author: Anonymous

Content: [Close-up of event message content showing ‘revival in heavily damaged state’]

Why is everyone talking like ships are permanently lost?

Don’t they revive even if they’re destroyed?

    Comments:

-[This is… the downside of collective intelligence…]

    -[Oh damn lol]

-[Now that you mention it, that’s right]

-˪[Read the damn announcements properly, you idiots]

    —————————————–

Not just me, but all other users naturally assumed “of course they won’t let us repair ships!”

We realized we had naturally ignored what was written in the announcement, and for a while, the gallery was filled with self-deprecating comments about how we were all idiots.
