However, one day, two days, three days.

As time passed, Icarus and the “original” Central Zone users could feel that the situation was developing in an unsettling direction.

Well, at first, the “Yellow Turban Rebels” concept might have been adopted by chance.

Though they called it revenge or whatever, it was essentially “let’s do this(?) since we have nothing better to do.”

After the users who captured strongholds took on the “citizens” concept and the rest became “barbarians.”

Like they were performing WWE rather than a genuine UFC match, as users from other zones thought.

Some would raid strongholds for fun and quietly return them after extracting sufficient resources. It could have ended like any other ordinary day in the Central Zone, like “Daily Life in the Central Zone #16.”

But the problem arose when some nameless user among the thousand-plus Yellow Turban Rebels(???) declared, “Hey, if we play this right, we might be able to take over the Central Zone!”

They went so far as to create a clan with the aim of controlling the entire Central Zone.

Although that user was driven out after being beaten up by other users based on the very “Central Zone-like” opinion of “Why should YOU be the boss?”—just like a Roman Emperor.

But once an idea takes root, it doesn’t disappear just because you cut off its leaves…

While the thousand Yellow Turban Rebels grew to two thousand.

After bloody internal power struggles, a user who finally claimed the leader position incited the Yellow Turban Rebel users.

When they said, “Let’s drive out those bastards who took our strongholds, capture them ourselves, and reap the benefits!!!”, the users who had been joking about being Yellow Turban Rebels were successfully incited and became “real Yellow Turban Rebels.”

And in the midst of this chaotic situation caused by these Yellow Turban Rebels, additional problems began to erupt.

-[The Central Zone is a complete mess right now]

    -[What happened?]

-[These Yellow Turban Rebel jokers are attacking bases of users who were just minding their own business]

-[Wasn’t that supposed to be WWE?]

    -[It’s UFC now]

-[But there’s something more important than these Yellow Turban bastards]

    -[?]

-[Users from surrounding zones are sneaking in and trying to establish clans here]

    -[What?]

    -[For real?]

    —————————————–

While the incited users were causing havoc by grinding down other Central Zone users.

Trolls and other users from surrounding zones quietly slipped in.

Some were trying to form clans to drive out the Central Zone users, who typically preferred solo play, and take their places.

Others came just to troll, making the already chaotic Central Zone even more chaotic.

In short, the situation was approaching complete pandemonium.

And in the midst of this chaotic situation, what was our Icarus up to?

    ==========

    “Commander, Commander.”

    “Yeah.”

“A representative from the Magellan Clan just arrived.”

    “Oh… they’re coming faster than I expected.”

Since the Biomass Clan had completely collapsed.

I was welcoming the representative of the Magellan Clan, who had successfully consumed Xenovia, to fill the void left by Wiridi, who had disappeared along with his base as the former Biomass Clan representative.

Of course, I personally thought that the Magellan Clan, like the Biomass Clan before them, wouldn’t have much interest in “me.”

I was planning to conduct the meeting in a calm and casual manner.

But according to the Magellan Clan representative:

    -[Hello](CharmingPoint)

    -[Hello]

-[Thanks for coming all this way](Icarus)

    -[About that]

-[I heard Central Zone was a demon’s lair, and it really is chaotic](CharmingPoint)

    —————————————–

At first, I thought we would just exchange simple greetings like that.

    But not long after…

    —————————————–

    <Icarus-Magellan Channel Chat Room>

    -[By the way]

-[Would you be interested in working as a mercenary again in the future? Haha](CharmingPoint)

    -[Heeeeeh]

    -[I’m not suuure](Icarus)

    —————————————–

Unlike the Biomass Clan, with whom I had no particular competitive relationship, the Magellan Clan had been engaged in back-and-forth battles and pride wars with the Southern Alliance.

And unlike before, perhaps because my “excellent performance(?)” during the Earth Federation revolution I started with the Humanity Clan had been revealed.

I could see them immediately asking me, “Would you work as a mercenary again?”

Of course, I chose to give a vague answer rather than a definite one.

Because after actually doing proper mercenary work…

I realized it was more dangerous than I had initially thought.

Although I had to consider that the opponents were “quite strong” NPCs, specifically a faction’s border defense fleet.

If I were to face “other users” as a mercenary in the future, dozens or hundreds of variables would come crashing down on me and my main force, and how could I handle that?

Of course, saying that outright might lead them to spread strange rumors like “That Icarus guy is a complete coward.”

So instead of saying it directly, I decided to use the rampaging “Yellow Turban Rebels” as an excuse.

And the Magellan representative was already aware of those guys.

-[Unfortunately, with those Yellow Turban bastards running wild these days]

-[It’s hard to move freely for the time being](Icarus)

    -[Ah, I see]

-[I haven’t experienced it firsthand since I came through the gate]

-[But from what I hear from acquaintances in our faction]

-[And from looking at the gallery or seeing what’s happening around here, I can understand why](CharmingPoint)

    -[Yes, exactly](Icarus)

    —————————————–

Since they came through the gate, they hadn’t “directly” experienced it, but they acknowledged that my cautious approach was reasonable.

    ==========

Anyway, after finishing our conversation and CharmingPoint returned to his base.

I suddenly realized there was a significant issue in both the chat room conversations I had seen earlier.

And in my recent conversation with CharmingPoint.

“…Users from surrounding areas are pouring in to take over the Central Zone?”

Of course, since one shouldn’t judge a situation by looking at just one side.

I decided to check both chat rooms and galleries to understand what was happening.

    And shortly after.

    <Public Anonymous Chat Room>

<Everyone please use polite and proper language to maintain etiquette.>

-[Haha we’ve arrived at the Central Zone too]

-[They’re always throwing fits normally, but where is everyone now?]

-[With these Yellow Turban Rebels or whatever attacking other users, it’s just an empty house lol]

    -[Awesome, let’s go]

-[Looking for a clan to expedition to the Central Zone! 8/10]

-[The place once called a demon’s lair has now become everyone’s toilet]

-[I heard a lot of Pirate Union users are entering these days]

    -[I’m cute today too☆]

    -[Let’s gooooo]

-[Space Monster and Xenovia Empire users are going too, I heard?]

    -[To the new world!]

    —————————————-

    “Holy moly holy mooooly.”

Seeing all kinds of users flooding toward the Central Zone like the American Wild West frontier days.

I felt extremely confused, not understanding what was happening.
