Ch.423[Episode 423] Heroes of Legend

Sir Dominic’s motion capture went beyond the previously mentioned 20 hours, finally ending after 32 hours.

“This was the longest session in Heroes of Legend history, capturing the most diverse range of motions.”

The older of the Panda sisters said while fluorescent energy drink dripped from the corner of her mouth.

Around her were dozens of empty energy drink cans piled up.

The same was true for the younger Panda sister.

In other words, the Panda sisters had spent 32 hours capturing motions with Sir Dominic, working day and night.

“This is going to be legendary.”

The Panda sisters told Sir Dominic.

    Sir Dominic shook his head.

The Panda sisters had pushed him to his limits, enough to make him sick of it.

“I never want to experience this again.”

“Hmm. That’s somewhat disappointing for us.”

“Indeed. We got so greedy that we’ve done everything we might have needed for next time too, so there’s no need for you to come back.”

    “That’s good news.”

Sir Dominic stroked his chin and brightened at the Panda sisters’ words.

Originally, Sir Dominic was scheduled to do motion capture for a total of 20 hours over two days.

However, the Panda sisters got a bit greedy and suggested doing all 20 hours in one day.

As they continued, they became even greedier, adding more details to the motions, which ultimately resulted in this 32-hour marathon.

    “I can’t believe this.”

The director who had been sleeping in the corner woke up with drowsy eyes.

He was a victim who had firmly believed it would only take 10 hours and had waited here to take Sir Dominic back afterward, only to fall prey to the Panda sisters’ sudden whims.

“I never thought it would take 32 hours…”

The director took an energy drink from the small refrigerator in the corner and gulped it down.

Watching this, Sir Dominic seriously wondered if all Black Group employees had fluorescent energy drink flowing through their veins instead of red blood.

“Ugh. I’m starting to feel alive again. Oh, right. Is the motion capture really finished?”

    “Ah, yes.”

The director asked the Panda sisters if the motion capture was truly complete.

The Panda sisters shrugged as if to say nothing remained.

“Then I have no more business here. Can I go?”

    “Ah.”

“If you could sign something first…”

The Panda sisters requested Sir Dominic’s autograph.

Come to think of it, weren’t the Panda sisters fans of Sir Dominic?

Sir Dominic remembered this fact and nodded.

With Sir Dominic’s nod, the Panda sisters’ faces lit up, and they immediately brought out pens and markers from the corner.

Sir Dominic naturally gave them his autograph.

“Ugh. I never expected it would take this long. My wife called yesterday asking why I hadn’t come home.”

Sir Dominic and the director were moving to another floor in the elevator.

The director glanced at Sir Dominic nervously before making two suggestions.

“What would you like to do next? You can go home to rest and come back later, or we can proceed to the next task right away.”

    “?”

“Since you’ve done the motion capture, we need to set up your skillset and such. Unlike Gacha Land, AOS mode consists of one trait and four special skills.”

    “Ah.”

Sir Dominic nodded at the director’s words.

He thought that being a different mode, it would naturally be somewhat different from the usual.

“I’ll do it now before leaving.”

    “Oh, you will?”

Sir Dominic thought it best to strike while the iron was hot and finish everything while he was here.

He might not know about direct combat, but he should at least set up his skillset before leaving.

“Then we’ll head there right away.”

With those words, the director pressed two different numbers again.

    Floor 172 and floor 213.

    “…?”

Sir Dominic suddenly realized that combining these numbers would make floor 172,213.

And wasn’t that the floor where he had just been doing motion capture?

“Black Group is famous for using space efficiently.”

As if reading Sir Dominic’s mind, the director answered his unspoken question.

“Even if it’s the same floor 172,213, just as partitions can create different spaces, they use technology to cut space… well, I don’t know exactly how it works, but it’s something like that.”

    “Hmm.”

Sir Dominic nodded at this new knowledge.

In truth, when would Sir Dominic ever have business at Black Group?

He had learned this information by coming here this time, so he just accepted it.

    “We’ve arrived.”

While he was thinking, the elevator stopped at floor 172,213 again.

When the elevator doors opened, there were men with cigarettes in their mouths, rubbing their throbbing foreheads while frantically writing something down.

They were men with red hair and very developed upper bodies, quite hairy and macho.

“These are the Red Bear brothers. Looks like they’re balancing the skillsets.”

    “Balancing?”

“Their predecessor completely messed up the balance before leaving. They’re probably having a hard time.”

After saying this, the director slowly approached the Red Bear brothers.

The Red Bear brothers were so focused that they didn’t notice the director’s presence, but when the director made his presence known, they finally looked up.

“What? Aren’t you the director from the video department? Why are you here?”

“Yeah. Do you need something from us? There shouldn’t be any sections requiring skillsets yet.”

The Red Bear brothers spoke to the director in low, growling voices.

“Not me. Sir Dominic has business with you.”

The director said, pointing at Sir Dominic.

The Red Bear brothers’ gazes turned to Sir Dominic.

    “Sir Dominic?”

    “Hmm. This is unexpected.”

“Sir Dominic will be joining our Heroes of Legend.”

    “For the Enchant collaboration?”

    “No. Just regularly.”

“But there are plans for an Enchant collaboration?”

    “That’s right.”

    “Hmm.”

The director and the Red Bear brothers began discussing something about Sir Dominic.

    “Come over here first.”

The Red Bear brother with a mustache said.

“Fill out this form, then submit it to my brother.”

Sir Dominic figured out that the one with the mustache was the older brother.

That would make the one without a beard the younger brother.

    “Understood.”

Sir Dominic simply replied and looked at the form handed to him by the older Red Bear brother.

    The form was straightforward.

It just asked him to list his traits, special skills, and equipment effects.

Sir Dominic began writing down everything he had.

From the trait [Tanker], to special skills [Horseman] and [Cinematic], to equipment effects [Shield Strike Stun] and [Seed Alice].

After completing everything, Sir Dominic went to the younger Red Bear brother and submitted the form.

“One trait, two special skills, and two equipment effects. Exactly five.”

The Red Bear muttered and began entering something into the computer.

“First, let’s make the trait passive… no. Should I make Horseman passive? Hmm. No. I’ll put it as skill 3…”

The Red Bear muttered something while furrowing his brow.

    Something seemed complicated.

“Brother! This looks like a slow walker with lots of CC skills. Shouldn’t we give him a movement skill?”

    “Hmm.”

The older Red Bear brother stroked his mustache, contemplating something.

Then he suddenly made a phone call and began talking to someone.

“Yes. Yes. Is this Don Castello? This is Red Bear from the Heroes of Legend skillset team under Black Group. Yes. I was wondering if I could request information about Sir Dominic’s skillset in Enchant. Yes. Nothing major, just that our next, or next-next legend to be released is Sir Dominic. Yes. Yes. Of course. We’re also considering a collaboration with Enchant. Quite coincidentally, Code Back Zero is also scheduled to be released.”

The older Red Bear brother, talking with Don Castello, seemed to get the answer he wanted and nodded while expressing his gratitude.

    “Thank you. Then…”

    Click. The call ended.

Then the older Red Bear brother shouted to his younger brother:

“Enchant will send over a skillset soon. Find a suitable movement skill from there and add it.”

    “Okay.”

The younger Red Bear brother nodded at his brother’s words, scribbled something, and then called Sir Dominic.

“Sir Dominic. This is your skillset.”

    [Passive: Horseman]

    [Skill 1: Shield Strike]

    [Skill 2: Shield Charge]

    [Skill 3: Seed Summon]

    [Skill 4: Cinematic]

Sir Dominic noticed that a new skill called Shield Charge had been added to his skillset.

    “What’s this?”

“It was a skill from your Enchant days. A movement skill with a stun effect, apparently quite popular.”

The younger Red Bear brother told Sir Dominic.

“How is it? Are you satisfied?”

    “Yes.”

Sir Dominic thought this was fine.

Of course, since Sir Dominic didn’t know much about AOS mode, he somewhat glossed over some details.

    “Well, we’re done here.”

    “…That quickly?”

“What, did you expect it to take 32 hours or something?”

The Red Bear brothers looked at Sir Dominic strangely, wondering why such a simple task would take so long.

    “Hmm.”

    “You look unsatisfied.”

The Red Bear brothers said, observing Sir Dominic’s expression.

“How about demonstrating the skillset before you leave?”

    “That’s a great idea!”

The director exclaimed at the Red Bear brother’s suggestion.

“If we include the skillset in the trailer, people will be more interested.”

The director said this to persuade Sir Dominic.

Sir Dominic thought for a moment, then nodded.

“I was just thinking I wanted to stretch a bit.”

Sir Dominic said as he applied the skillset.
