Ch.414The Age of Cataclysm
by fnovelpia
And in the approximately three days after our Humanity overthrew the Earth Federation and declared, “I myself shall become the Earth Federation!!!”
This matter was acting like the eye of a storm, bringing about a truly massive upheaval throughout the entire universe.
Of course, at that time, I had no way of knowing what was happening all around me.
I could only learn through mysterious users’ gallery analysis posts that kept appearing.
And through those posts, what I could roughly understand was…

Title: Summary of the situation after Humanity overthrew the Earth Federation.txt

First, keep in mind this is just what I heard from acquaintances affiliated with Humanity
About a quarter of the user fleet was “annihilated,” and most of the rest were shredded to a groggy state
But they absorbed the surrendered Earth Federation fleet, so they now have a fleet to defend the borders
However, no user managed to capture Jormungand or Yggdrasil-class ships
As the event message stated, the Leviathan-class and its fleet managed to break through the encirclement
They’re moving Humanity headquarters from Balthazar to “Earth”
It’s considered a Level 10 stronghold as the faction’s main base
Comments:
-[Wow, what kind of capabilities does a Level 10 have?]
-└[I don’t know that much](Author)
-[Wait, they threw in 150,000 or 180,000 people and two-thirds were annihilated?]
-└[Based on what News Boy was broadcasting at the time, it was around 150,000]
-└[It’s confirmed that about 100,000 users lost over 70% of their fleet power](Author)
-└[That’s insane, absolutely insane]

Title: Humanity currently fighting over reward payments lolololol
Author: Anonymous

This is real
Too many users had their fleets shredded this time, and they spent a craaaaazy amount of resources stopping the Earth Defense Fleet’s final charge
Comments:
-[How much did they spend?]
-└[At minimum, it must be in the hundreds of billions]
-└[That’s because they hired both regular mercenary groups and stronghold mercenaries en masse]
-[I heard they spent nearly 100 million in resources just to hire Icarus when external forces were breaking through the defense line]
-└[That’s insane]

First, regarding Humanity, which could be considered the eye of the storm in this incident.
There’s talk about insider leaks and whatnot, but if those statements are true…
They deployed forces worth over 2 “billion” in user fleet points alone, of which 50 million were completely annihilated.
The rest also melted away, causing internal conflicts over compensation issues.
Meanwhile, when someone tried to bring up my story to use me as a scapegoat, I mercilessly fired off a blocking beam at them.
And besides Humanity, stories about other clans started popping up like declassified American documents after their confidentiality period ended…

Title: Results of Loki Clan vs Biomass Clan.txt
Author: Anonymous
Content: [Image of “Space Monster” faction clan territory changes Before & After.jpg]
Biomass Clan failed to hold out, lost all the Pirate Alliance territory they had invaded
They also lost most of their own territories and the remaining members joined Justice Clan
As a result, Loki secured not only the Pirate Alliance territory but also areas in the former Earth Federation domain and Space Monster territory
However, during this process, complaints increased among those treated as “subordinate clans” within Loki Clan
Comments:
-[What? Biomass Clan is finished?]
-└[Yes, the clan completely disbanded and the remaining members joined Justice](Author)
-[Justice Clan hit the jackpot while doing nothing]
-[Wow…]
-[And why are the subordinate clans causing trouble?]
-└[Apparently they were supposed to be in a mutually respectful relationship, but Loki Clan pushed some subordinate clans too hard this time](Author)
-└[Well, they were originally a clan of trollers, so I guess they’d be sensitive about that]

Title: EU can’t be too happy about Justice expanding its territory.eu
Author: Indian Machete
Content: [Zoomed-in image of where Justice Clan and Loki Clan territories now meet.jpg]
Justice and Loki haven’t been on particularly good terms before
But there were hardly any direct conflicts because the two clans rarely shared borders
Now that Biomass has been defeated by Loki and split in half, the two suddenly share a border?
Plus, after receiving support from Humanity, their relationship with the Xenovia Empire factions has become complicated
From Justice Clan’s perspective, things are going to get really uncomfortable
Comments:
-[Now that you mention it, that’s true]
-[When did the Northern and Southern Alliances receive support from Humanity?]
-└[When Justice tried to stop them from betraying Humanity during the coup?](Author)
-└[That’s pretty recent]
-[Looking at this, Justice has no choice but to struggle]
-[But Justice was originally positioned right between the Monsters and Xenovia, so they were bound to irritate one side or the other]
—
“Looking at all this, everyone seems to be living quite busy lives.”
“Indeed, it feels even more chaotic than the already chaotic Central Zone.”
Unlike the Central Zone where dozens or hundreds of minor incidents erupt at the slightest provocation—a sense of unrestrained chaos—
Other places seemed to experience what you might call “controllable chaos” erupting in much larger scale.
As for the rest of the stories, as always, there was the Xenovia North-South civil war where they kept fighting among themselves.
Or stories about Loki Clan unable to break old habits, getting caught trying to infiltrate spies into Justice and Humanity and nearly getting beaten up.
For me, these were typical everyday(?) stories that didn’t spark any additional interest.
‘I think I don’t need to see any more of this.’
Deciding there wasn’t much else to pay attention to,
I was about to close the gallery window and collect my daily quest rewards,
Or perhaps focus on leveling up the Anchorage-class ship I’d newly acquired from this event.
But at that very moment.

Title: Breaking News) Rank 7 and 8 players Indefatigable and Menaldo join Humanity
Author: News Boy
Content: [Screenshot of their statements(?) in global chat.jpg]
These two users commanded external mercenaries during Humanity’s coup, or rather revolution
They’ve now been invited to become executives in Humanity, and both accepted
Of course, this means they’ll give up their positions and strongholds in the Central Zone and move to the former Earth Federation territory
But they seem to have judged it worth the sacrifice
Comments:
-[I can understand Indefatigable, but Menaldo is going too?]
-[It’s like getting hired by a major corporation, congrats]
-└[That’s exactly what it is]
-[Don’t both of them have their foundations in the Central Zone since they’ve been solo rankers from the beginning?]
-[Well, there’s been a lot of talk about Menaldo joining a clan for a while, and Indefatigable was basically treated as Humanity’s exclusive mercenary, so it was a possibility]
—
‘…What?’
As the sudden news that “my wonderful solo friends” were getting jobs at a major corporation(?) reached me,
I could feel a moment of intense bewilderment flash through my mind.
