    # 399 – Shocking News

    Morb heard some shocking news.

    “I heard this guy named Dobby cast some weird illusion on Oknodie and tricked her.”

    “That Oknodie?”

    “Is that even possible?”

    Oknodie had been played by someone.

    Finding this hard to believe, Morb sought out the student who had spread the rumor.

    “That story just now. Could you tell me more about it?”

    “D-don’t be so angry… I’m just repeating what I heard somewhere…”

    <Rage Explosion>

    <Fighting Spirit>

    <Charisma>

    Morb, who had unintentionally developed a fighting spirit from daily weight training in addition to his intimidating full-body armor.

    The ordinary lower-class student couldn’t handle the pressure from the fluctuating energy that followed Morb’s emotional turmoil and shrank back.

    Seeing the student’s terrified face, Morb belatedly realized his mistake and withdrew his energy.

    “Sorry. So what’s this about Oknodie?”

    “They say this guy Dobby made Oknodie wear a swimsuit and move a box full of tentacles.”

    “WHAT!!!!”

    What the hell is that bastard doing!!!

    “What the hell is that bastard doing!!!”

    “Aaaah, stop grabbing my collar and shaking meee!”

    “Tell me right now!!! Where is that bastard!!!”

    The student’s clothes tore with a ripping sound as Morb grabbed his collar and shook him violently.

    Unable to withstand the shock of having his head and brain rattled, the student collapsed forward in a half-naked, pitiful state.

    The color that appeared on the faces of surrounding students was the pure white of shock and terror!

    “What did he do to Oknodie, forcing her to wear a swimsuit and doing something with tentacles!!!”

    “I-I don’t knooow, we don’t know eitheeeer!”

    “Forgive uuus, we didn’t do anything wrooong!”

    Morb grabbed a student in each hand by the collar and shook them like vending machines that had swallowed coins, eventually making them faint too.

    After leaving three victims behind, Morb went straight to find the person most knowledgeable about information.

    BANG.

    “Giselle!!! I need your help!!!”

    In response to Morb’s intense entrance, kicking open the door, Giselle smiled somewhat proudly and said:

    “Hmph. Thanks to Son Ocheon constantly flinging doors open, it was worth installing an expensive door. See how it remains undamaged despite being opened so violently.”

    “I don’t care about that. Tell me where this Dobby guy is right now!!”

    Hurt by Morb’s disregard for her point of pride, Giselle replied with a slightly wounded expression.

    “The information fee is displayed on the panel. Please place your palm on it to make payment.”

    Beep.

    [10 points have been deducted.]

    “Dobby is currently recruiting followers for a doomsday cult among seniors in the sophomore lecture hall, classified as danger zone H1L25.”

    “Sophomore?”

    “The mention of one year above finally brought you back to your senses. Would you care to tell me why you’re so angry in the first place?”

    “That guy made Oknodie wear a swimsuit and carry a box full of tentacles!”

    “…Hmm? Please wait a moment.”

    Giselle began activating her information network to verify the information.

    As always, she put down her magic communication device with narrowed eyes and a smile, then half-opened her third eye pupil with an even deeper smile.

    “You’ve brought good information… After confirmation, all the information Morb brought is verified to be true. Dobby. That friend can no longer be left alone.”

    Upon discovering the possibility that a mere freshman lower-class nobody had done something terrible to Oknodie, she could barely contain her anger.

    “Moreover, he didn’t just play with Oknodie. They say even a wet curtain was discovered.”

    “A curtain too!?”

    Now even more inappropriate images unfolded in Morb’s mind.

    Dobby blackmailing Oknodie after finding her weakness.

    Making her take off her uniform, putting her in a swimsuit with a curtain wrapped around her, and placing her in water full of tentacles…

    Just the two of them.

    Even skipping lectures.

    “I can’t take this anymore!!!”

    Morb drew his sword and stormed into the meeting place where the sophomores were gathered.

    “Kill the vampires!”

    “Join the doomsday cult!”

    “Aaaah, what’s the point of studying hard when the world is going to end anyway!! Dobby, please tell us what to do. What should we do!!”

    The sophomores had already fallen victim to Dobby’s preaching.

    “Dobby, come out right now!!”

    “Who’s that guy?”

    “How dare a freshman casually call the name of Grand Archbishop Dobby!”

    “Are you friends with Dobby!?”

    “A vampire’s minion has appeared to hasten the end! Let’s defeat him and protect our grades from becoming trash with our own hands!!”

    Sophomores charged from all directions, shouting battle cries.

    Morb was quite flustered.

    However, the greater the adversity, the more one’s training shines.

    <Vine Binding>

    <Adhesive Ground>

    <Heavy Footsteps>

    <Strength Weakening Curse>

    <Vision Obstruction Magic>

    Multiple magic combinations flew at him instantly.

    He forcibly broke the initial instant-binding spell with his trained abilities.

    “What!! He broke the Vine Binding with pure strength!?”

    He dodged the subsequent binding spells by moving his body and overcame the curses with resistance.

    “Got it! The Vision Obstruction Magic hit. Now he can’t see for 5 seconds… Huh!?”

    “It doesn’t matter if I can’t see. I’ve trained for this.”

    The training under Oknodie had developed his ability to deal with “all kinds of crises.”

    He forcibly maintained his balance sense that would normally collapse after just a few seconds with eyes closed, and even acquired the rare ability <Combat Continuation> that allowed him to mentally connect and visualize the lingering scenes.

    Add to this the strength developed by enduring the cursed training armor set, and when he swings his sword?

    “That’s not enough! We’re sophomores. Our defensive magic density is completely different from freshmeaaagh!”

    “You bastard, do you think a lazy freshman can overcome sophomores who are seriously devoted to lectureaaagh my arm is broken!”

    “W-what the hell. This kind of strength is only shown by upper-class students, I’ve never heard of a freshman like this!! He wasn’t even listed in the watchlist of concerning freshmen compiled and distributed by Castella!!”

    Just one year.

    The difference was too small to catch up with through high-intensity training that couldn’t be achieved by those who claimed they played around and only worked moderately hard.

    Sophomores who put their studies aside to hang around Dobby’s gathering couldn’t surpass Morb when he was truly going wild.

    “Overwhelm him with mana volume!”

    “Take damage in turns!”

    “Rotate in a wheel formation!”

    Of course, sophomores were different from their freshman days when they would be meaninglessly swept away if the enemy was strong.

    As soon as they noticed Morb’s strength, they didn’t let their guard down and united to take turns receiving blows and passing the turn to the next person, quickly depleting his strength.

    Morb’s stamina decreased rapidly as he had to use his full power at every moment.

    ‘Ugh, is this as far as I go!’

    Oknodie had suffered an injustice, yet he couldn’t even catch the culprit and was about to fall to his minions.

    “You held out well, youngster.”

    “That voice…!”

    Just as Morb’s knees finally touched the ground and the sophomores gained a significant advantage.

    Morb felt something in the cool breeze that blew into the meeting place.

    This was no ordinary wind.

    It was a mana wind created by the movement of high-density mana that surpassed the flow of multiple mana users despite their mana emissions, carving out its own domain!

    Morb knew only one person who could produce such pressure along with a voice colder than a sword.

    “Eastern Swordsman Sing!!”

    “If you want to rise to the upper class, you should be able to overcome this much on your own.”

    <Domain> – something that barely spreads to the surrounding space when one releases mana with all their might.

    He refined it sharply and extended it like a sword strike in the direction of his killing intent.

    Sing’s sword strike followed the domain that extended before the sword.

    <Magic Destruction>

    <Curse Destruction>

    <Physical Destruction>

    <Defense Destruction>

    Sing forcibly destroyed all enemy offense and defense in his sword path, proving the absolute hierarchy.

    “I’m only showing you the way this once.”

    Like the sophomores who lost their fighting spirit, Morb almost lost heart for a moment.

    ‘What monstrous strength. To make Oknodie act cute around him, does one need to possess this much power?’

    The rumors about Oknodie weren’t just about the Dobby incident that enraged him today.

    When rare side dishes appeared in the cafeteria, attendance increased because “even Oknodie is eating there today,” and when she was seen digging somewhere, students would appear with shovels thinking seniors had hidden experimental materials.

    Everyone who should know was aware of Oknodie’s favorable attitude toward Sing, and Morb had been quite stressed due to his feelings of inferiority.

    ‘Dobby just delivered the final blow, but the person who’s been making me angry all along was that man Sing.’

    Hiding his inner turmoil of jealousy and anger, Morb bowed his head humiliatingly.

    “Thank you for teaching me a lesson. I will definitely catch up to your level someday.”

    When that time comes, I’ll return today’s strike to you.

    Looking down at Morb’s clenched fist as he bowed his head, Sing gave a light snort.

    “So. Where is this Dobby guy Giselle mentioned hiding?”

    “L-Lord Dobby, after the gathering…”

    One of the nearby sophomores spoke with difficulty.

    “After the gathering?”

    “He went to the cafeteria for lunch…”

    “…The cafeteria will be noisy today.”

    As Sing led the way to the cafeteria, Morb also pulled himself together and followed.
