Ch.387Side Story: The Carriage
by fnovelpia
“I think I understand why people get stressed in various ways as they get older.”
As I was leaving Clockwork, I muttered while looking around one last time, and the Dark Spiritmaster beside me tilted her head and asked.
[Why?]
Perhaps it’s because she’s now a ghost and will never age again. The Dark Spiritmaster couldn’t relate at all.
I wonder if she realizes that she’s the cause of these thoughts of mine.
“As you learn more things, you have more to worry about.”
[Do you have something to worry about?]
I frowned at the Dark Spiritmaster, who was making a genuinely confused expression, and answered.
“I’m worried about you. You’re having some pointless pride competition with Findenai.”
[…Isn’t that more Findenai’s problem than mine?]
“If that makes you feel better, think of it that way.”
Just like a Black Mage, she’s impressive in how she interprets things to her advantage. I just let it go and turn my head.
A carriage was prepared to take us back to Iceburn village from Clockwork, but Findenai hadn’t arrived yet.
[Let’s just go without her. Findenai is faster when she runs anyway.]
“That’s true.”
She probably has a lot to catch up on with the junk dealer after not seeing each other for a while. Even if she rode in the carriage with us, she might try to do something obscene with the Dark Spiritmaster.
“Let’s go.”
I board the carriage, leaving Findenai behind to take her time. Laila Besh opens the carriage door and immediately bows her head.
“Have a pleasant journey!”
“…..”
[Oh my, thank you.]
The Dark Spiritmaster enjoying the reception on my behalf. Laila would be taking a different carriage. She said she couldn’t ride in the same carriage as me.
‘Well, that’s actually better.’
I can travel in peace, and I can use magic to reach Iceburn in an instant.
I could fly there too, but that would be cold and the wind would make it uncomfortable, so using magic on the carriage was the most convenient method.
As the carriage departs, the Dark Spiritmaster sticks close to me and smiles.
[Hehehe. It’s been a while since we’ve been alone!]
“Indeed.”
[We used to have a lot of time alone together, but lately we haven’t had that chance.]
“Given the circumstances.”
Living with multiple women and sharing love with them naturally made it rare to spend time alone with just one person.
At most, I thought we could only be alone in bed, but somehow I was getting used to enjoying time with multiple partners.
‘This isn’t right.’
I felt awkward and alarmed about the unexpectedly promiscuous life I was leading, but there was no way to resolve it.
Since I had already started down this path, all I could do was try to satisfy them as much as possible.
[Hmm, your reaction is so bland. It would be nice if you showed more excitement.]
“You know I’m not that kind of person.”
Though I speak more now and show my emotions, wasn’t I even less responsive in the past?
[Maybe you’re too used to stimulation? Aha, I get it! You want to do it here?!]
“…Like I said. As you get older, your worries increase.”
This is exactly what I was worried about with the Dark Spiritmaster. She already had a tendency toward exhibitionism.
“I never knew that learning new things could become such a burden.”
First it was in the forest, then in downtown Robern. Yesterday we did it in the guest room, but that was essentially like doing it in someone else’s house.
‘I’ll develop strange preferences.’
I wish she would consider me, who has to go along with this.
[Hmm? I don’t understand what you’re saying.]
The Dark Spiritmaster’s voluptuous chest rubs against my face. Somehow she had climbed on top of me, facing me, with a seductive smile.
Should I say she was releasing pheromones?
I knew that spiritual bodies weren’t much different from human flesh, but the Dark Spiritmaster possessed the subtle pheromones that flow from an attractive woman.
[Yeees? Tell me.]
She deliberately pressed her chest against my face, preventing me from speaking. The childlike appearance from earlier had vanished, and now she was openly seducing me.
[You saw how Findenai was showing off. I can get just as good with practice.]
“I told you not to get competitive over strange things.”
[It’s not competitiveness.]
Saying that, she hunched down slightly and whispered in my ear.
[I just want to do it, and I’m making up reasons.]
“…..”
A cunning and crafty whisper that no one else could hear. It felt like a charm in itself, and I unconsciously tensed my lower body.
[Heheh.]
Feeling it through my hips, the Dark Spiritmaster began to grind against me with bouncing movements.
It wasn’t just her voluptuous figure stimulating me as a man; every little action she took was seducing me.
“We’re in a carriage.”
[It’s not like there’s a coachman.]
Since I had cast magic on the carriage, it was moving on its own anyway. If there were a coachman, who knows what would happen to them under the influence of the magic.
[You always just follow my lead.]
I wondered what she meant by that sudden remark, but the Dark Spiritmaster got off me and knelt on the carriage floor, starting to remove my pants.
“Wait a minute…!”
* * *
Her hips had stopped moving, but the carriage’s bumpy motion made the Dark Spiritmaster continue to feel pleasure, letting out short moans.
Seeing her now passed out and limp, I felt sorry and carefully laid her down, when—
Bang!
The door of the moving carriage flew open, letting in a gust of cold wind. The carriage wasn’t moving at normal speed, so the wind was quite harsh.
“Ugh, just because I was late you left without—”
It was Findenai, who had caught up to the carriage we had left behind.
She was grumbling, but when she saw the Dark Spiritmaster collapsed in disarray, she seemed to sense what had happened and awkwardly smiled while backing away.
“I-I’ll just run there.”
As she tried to escape—
Grab!
I caught her wrist and pulled her inside.
“I’m not done yet.”
The carriage door slammed shut, and—
“W-wait a minute, master! Actually, because of yesterday, I’m still… Ahh!”
Findenai’s cries of pleasure began to ring out.
It was a time when the two who had been fighting all morning finally admitted to their own premature endings and inadequacies.
