Ch.385″Accept it without resistance.” (1)
by fnovelpia
Beyond what I had shown to Jessica, there was quite a lot of chatter about this event in the gallery.
Of course, most of the talk was the usual kind whenever a “new event” appeared…

Title: Hey you motherless bastards, give us the info now

Give it up now
My friend told me to use profanity and not be polite when asking questions in the gallery
Hurry up and give me the info about this event and get lost
Comments:
-[Why is this newbie such an alpha male?]
-[Meta used to be beta males, but now it’s shifted to alpha males]
-[Why are you suddenly killing my mother?]
-[Where has watashi’s mama gone desu?]
-[Veterans mysteriously becoming orphans lololololol]
-[This isn’t just sudden acceleration, you’re hitting the boost button lolol]
-[I didn’t tell you to go this far, damn it]

-˪[Are you actually admitting to that?]

Most of it was newbies having meltdowns trying to extract deliciously sweet information from the veterans (?) who were holding onto details about the “new event.”
Of course, there were instances where genuine fanatics would emerge in the process, as seen above.
But as evidenced by such users’ posts receiving countless “upvotes” and being enshrined in notable posts, such cases could safely be considered rare.
Well, regardless of what the newbies were doing, I already had some knowledge about how things would unfold anyway.
So I decided to focus on organizing a force to participate in the event and diligently prepare for it.
About 2-3 hours after I started making these preparations, as the lively morning hours ended and the drowsy afternoon began to set in…
—————————————–
<<<Global Event Message>>>
<‘Final Resistance’ Event Map Now Open!>
<Details>
<A gate leading to the ‘Final Resistance’ event-exclusive map has opened in front of Commanders’ bases.>
—————————————–
With a cheerful “ding-a-ling” alert sound, that event message appeared.
-Beep beep beep! Beep!
“Commander, a massive wormhole has formed directly in front of our base.”
“Oh… what a desolate sight.”
Unlike usual events where wormholes would appear horizontally in front of or behind the base, this time was different.
Perhaps because our base was currently docked at the center of the massive Tannhäuser stronghold with no space around it.
Unusually, a hideous wormhole swirling with purple and black hues and crackling with lightning had opened directly above our base.
As soon as the wormhole appeared, explosive reactions erupted in both the gallery and chat.

Yeah
The colors and structure look really ominous, almost makes you not want to enter

-[Scared?]

-˪[Wait, I’m diving in with my entire fleet right now, bye]
-[Here’s your certificate of approval]

“Everyone’s charging in like crazy.”
“Indeed they are.”
Watching them rush in mindlessly despite no one playing the Pied Piper of Hamelin, I nodded my head at the sight that reminded me of mice diving off a cliff.
“Jessica, none of the ships we’re deploying for this event include resource mining fleets, right?”
“No, but if you’re unsure, perhaps you should double-check?”
“No, that won’t be necessary.”
Recently, my already limited fleet had undergone changes, with the “transport destroyers” of the resource mining fleet being replaced with “transport light cruisers.”
Perhaps it was because I’d invested all remaining fleet points in larger ships.
—————————————-
Fleet Status
Total Points: 988/950 points
Dreadnought: 1 ship, 90 points each = 90 points
Aircraft Carrier: 3 ships, 70 points each = 210 points
Special Battleship: 2 ships, 65 points each = 130 points
Battleship: 4 ships, 40 points each = 160 points
Subspace Submarine: 1 ship, 50 points each = 50 points
Light Aircraft Carrier: 0 ships, 40 points each = 0 points
Cruiser Battleship: 5 ships, 30 points each = 150 points
Heavy Cruiser: 0 ships, 10 points each = 0 points
Light Cruiser: 20 ships, 6 points each = 120 points
Destroyer: 0 ships, 3 points each = 0 points
Escort Ship: 0 ships, 1.5 points each = 0 points
Patrol Ship: 3 ships, 1 point each = 3 points
Resource Mining Ship: 30 ships, 1.5 points each = 45 points
—————————————-
If I excluded the 20 light cruisers assigned to the resource mining fleet and the 30 resource mining ships…
I had only about 20 ships total from dreadnought to patrol ships.
Since I could see everything clearly both on the command center’s massive screen and through the external glass windows…
I was confident there were no issues, so I decided to order my main fleet, led by the newly acquired dreadnought that I was still in the process of leveling up, to enter the event map through the wormhole.
==========
Shortly after.
The scene that greeted us as soon as we entered the wormhole… well, someone had described the entrance as “desolate,” and they weren’t wrong.
The map was filled with debris and space junk everywhere, and at its center floated a massive base mentioned in the event, shattered in various places and drifting aimlessly through space.
I immediately directed my fleet toward the base and was about to check the gallery to see how the newbies were reacting.
But just before I could put that thought into action, a new event message unexpectedly appeared:
—————————————–
<Global Announcement>
<<<‘Final Resistance’ Event Information>>>
<Notice to all Commanders.>
<In this event area, no forces except Commanders’ ‘main fleets’ are permitted entry.>
<This includes mercenaries hired from the mercenary dispatch office, faction delegations,>
<and even ‘hired mercenary groups’ that are essentially considered part of your fleet forces under the ‘Subordination Contract Management Document’.>
—————————————–
This seemed like obvious information, but apparently many users didn’t know.

I spent a fortune hiring and incorporating mercenary groups and went through all kinds of trouble
And now they suddenly can’t go in? Is this for real?
This is such salt milk
Comments:
-[Lolololololololololol]
-[What can you do? You’ll have to manage on your own]
-˪[At least they still defend your base properly, right? Cheers!]
-[Lolol]
-[What does “salt milk” mean?]
-˪[Seems like they were trying to use some colorful metaphor but forgot it halfway]
—————————————–
Seeing the numerous posts of lamentation flooding the gallery, I could only nod my head in understanding of why the management team had gone out of their way to issue an additional announcement.
