But such times didn’t last very long.

To recover my broken mental state and since today’s tasks were finished anyway, I decided to get some sweet sleep right away.

And so the next morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and went back to frantically rolling gacha after gacha after gacha, with the result that…

Finally, on my 998th 10-pull… to be precise, after 9,980 gacha rolls, I was able to obtain one sweet, delicious SSS-rank.

The only difference was that this time I got a starship instead of a superhuman.

    “KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!”

    “That’s amazing!”

“Oh, are those the new ships that Oppa-ya purchased this time?”

“An electronic warfare specialized cruiser, a destroyer, and a heavy battleship… you’ve acquired a decent lineup.”

Just like with Hresvelgr before, the ships were delivered right in front of the base, encased in ugly potato-shaped protective casings.

I decided to take a verification shot and upload it to the community to share this moment of joy.

Of course, before that, I first wanted to find out what these new ships actually did.

The fortunate thing was that I already knew what the ‘Bayern-class’ and ‘Kashima-class’ ships were for.

“Hmm… wait, I remember what the Bayern-class and Kashima-class ships do.”

    “Is that so?”

“Yeah, they both came out during the early days of the game.”

The Bayern-class had perfectly hexagonal performance, and the Kashima-class was a typical destroyer that was ‘only’ good at anti-air defense.

Of course, if they were ultra-high-grade ships like SSS-rank, they wouldn’t just be ‘ships’ alone.

Like Hresvelgr or Ouroboros, they would come with some additional ‘something’ beyond just being a ship.

The Bayern-class was an S-rank only because ‘battleships’ don’t exist below S-rank, but it was really just a ship with overall enhanced performance compared to regular-grade ships.

The Kashima-class was similar, and given the limitations of its A-rank…

From today’s perspective, unless you were a player going for a small fleet concept, it would be fair to say its performance was quite mediocre.

Actually, since the Kashima-class had a setting of being a modified obsolete ship, it was treated as something just ordinary from the moment the game was released.

I was thinking of simply putting both ships, except for the unfamiliar cruiser named Khabarovsk, up for auction.

But when I voiced this thought…

“Then what are you planning to do with those two ships?”

“Since I spent a ton of gold on the Tannhäuser operation, I was thinking of selling them to replenish my gold reserves.”

“Commander, the Bayern-class has decent performance. Wouldn’t it be good to incorporate it into our fleet?”

    “Hmm…”

“I agree with Berial. It may not have special functions, but it’s still better than regular battleships, isn’t it, Oppa-ya?”

    “Hmm.”

Not only Berial, who was responsible for fleet operations, but even Marian was suggesting we keep the ‘Bayern-class’.

Come to think of it, I suddenly realized that all the ‘main ships’ in my current fleet weren’t particularly good at taking hits…

“Commander, honestly, without the Bayern-class, we don’t have any ships in our fleet that can block enemy fire.”

“The Dreadnought is under construction, but wouldn’t it be better to have one more ship?”

“Hmm… when you put it that way, you’re right.”

Acknowledging their valid points, I nodded and decided to keep the Bayern-class in our fleet.

As for the Kashima-class, I had it neatly repackaged and docked somewhere in the base so it could be sold at any time.

    ‘Hmm, long antennas.’

As the packaging(?) was removed, I opened the wiki tab to learn more about the Khabarovsk-class, which looked like a fusion between a Sputnik satellite and a grasshopper that had been stretched out lengthwise.

    Nickname is Grasshopper

The reason is supposedly because the hull looks like a grasshopper, though I don’t see it at all, but that’s what people generally call it so let’s go with that

Cutting the crap, to summarize its performance concisely, it’s a style focused on functions you’d expect from an “electronic warfare cruiser”

If you include it in your fleet, it can detect nearby stealth ships or cloaking disguised ships

It also significantly reduces the accuracy of guided missiles fired from carrier-based aircraft or ships

And if you deliberately target carrier-based aircraft with electronic warfare, it can turn any living being or machine into a crispy burnt rice cracker

However, its own armament is truly pathetic

Despite being among the largest medium cruisers in size, its self-armament consists of just one destroyer-grade particle accelerator cannon and two 16-cell VLS. Is this for real?

It’s not particularly fast either, so if you include it in a mobility-focused fleet just because it’s called a “cruiser,” you’ll seriously regret it

-[Oh I forgot to mention in the content, unlike other electronic warfare cruisers, this one can use all the functions mentioned above simultaneously](Author)

    -˪[Oh]

-[Is being able to use functions simultaneously that impressive?]

-˪[Yes, S-rank and below electronic warfare cruisers can only use one of the functions mentioned above at a time](Author)

‘This is exactly what our fleet needs right now.’

Recently, except for events, I haven’t directly engaged in PVP with users, so it’s been somewhat overlooked…

Given my fleet’s current structure, if it were just about raw power battles, it wouldn’t be an issue.

But if the opponent used ‘stealth’ ships or ‘cloaking’ ships similar to Neranzara instead of engaging in power battles…

The only means to detect such ships was through reconnaissance with carrier-based aircraft, meaning we’d inevitably take one-sided hits.

But now, with this Khabarovsk, that risk has been eliminated…

    ‘Hmm, sweet.’

I felt this was quite a good gain for something obtained after 9,980 pulls.
