[World of Arsheria New Meta “I’m the Only Paladin” (Serious/Long)]

    TL;DR summary:

    Infinite healing

    Infinite tanking

    ????

    PROFIT!

    Introduction)

The current Arena meta in World of Arsheria is too monotonous.

People claim the tank-DPS-healer balance is perfect, but everyone knows Arena is just a power struggle. Even my runaway dog Poppy knows this.

For you Bronze-Silver bugs, let me emphasize: the current meta isn’t rock-paper-scissors, it’s scissors-scissors-scissors. Whoever has the bigger, more impressive scissors automatically wins. I’ll explain why later.

To be viable in Arena, you need to equip at least Solo Nightmare (5/5/5) difficulty during story progression. The conventional wisdom was that Paladins, being a healer class, couldn’t output enough damage to kill boss mobs, making clearing impossible.

That was until Dimensional Descent scrolls appeared…

    * * *

    “Happy birthday again, Lora.”

“Waaaah! Can we really play games together now, NoName sis?”

“Yes. You can use the capsule in my room. I’ll use the one in Professor Cheon’s room.”

“Sis, my heart is pounding so hard… what do I do?!”

Lora was so excited she kept stomping her feet.

I invited Lora to our house to celebrate her birthday.

Professor Cheon Kyu-jin, who had been sipping coffee in the living room, burst into laughter when he saw us enter together.

“Must be snowing. There’s a lot of snow on your head!”

    “Hello!”

“Hello there. You must be NoName’s friend Lora? I heard today’s your birthday?”

“Yes! I’m seven years old now!”

    “Haha, happy birthday.”

Lora proudly held up seven fingers as she spoke.

While the professor prepared to go grocery shopping for tonight’s dinner, I briefly explained our schedule for today.

“After you get in the capsule, you’ll need to register your personal information first. If you don’t understand something, just ask me.”

Since this was Lora’s first time using a capsule, several initial procedures were necessary.

Like creating an ID and an avatar.

“The game we’re playing is World of Arsheria. Once you finish the initial setup and move to the waiting room, you’ll see a bookshelf. Go to the ‘Popular Games’ section and select the second one from the left.”

“Hmm… okay, I’ll try! Should I get in now, sis?”

    World of Arsheria.

A masterpiece RPG that appeared like a comet five years ago and completely changed the landscape of the gaming industry.

What’s notable is that this game employed a unique system that was neither just an RPG nor an MMORPG.

It completely separated the ‘RPG-style story’ and ‘AOS-style PVP’ systems.

When you clear the story, your character’s final stats are determined by achievements and difficulty, which you can then use in PVP.

New users could enjoy just the RPG aspect, while hardcore users could create characters with desired stats through repeated clears and test their performance during PVP weeks.

The concept of each PVP battlefield changes every season, so finding the right class and skill tree for the meta was part of the fun.

Of course, today I was planning to enjoy just the story mode with Lora.

I thought it was just a simulation software with some magic, but it turned out to be a game that pushed Legacy of Legend to second place in PC bang usage rates.

I felt a bit annoyed remembering when viewers recommended it without telling me it was a game.

“Sis, can you check if my account was created properly?”

“Yes, it looks good. Now just access the game and create your avatar.”

“Ugh, how should I make it? I thought about it last night before bed…”

Some people claim that avatar creation is the highlight of RPGs, so it was important.

Of course, this was only possible after selecting a class first.

“You need to choose your class first. What class do you want to play, Lora?”

“I want to be a warrior! A warrior!”

“Okay. Then I’ll choose a support role.”

Lora chose the warrior class without hesitation.

Since we were planning to play the story mode as a duo, I naturally chose the ‘Healer’ class.

Just as warriors can choose between two-handed swords or longswords, healers also had various options like paladins, priests, shamans, and more.

None of the professions were satisfactory.

That’s because most mages could use healing spells anyway.

But since today was all about playing with Lora, I chose priest, which was expected to have the highest healing potential.

    [Creating Avatar]

    [Automatic/Semi-automatic/Manual]

    Options appeared.

Whether to choose completely randomly or to sculpt every bone, flesh, and down to the finest detail.

    But what is this ‘Semi-automatic’?

[Would you like to select semi-automatic avatar creation?]

[AI will create the optimal avatar by detecting the user’s brainwaves]

    [Semi-automatic]

    [Countdown: 9]

    Brainwave detection?

    What does that mean?

Anyway, when asked to imagine the typical image of a priest, I vaguely thought of people from my previous world.

    [Avatar created]

But when I saw the completed avatar, I clenched my molars.

    Brilliant curly silver hair.

Blue irises with no trace of black pupils.

A mouth with corners curved into a mocking smile and a sharp jawline.

Above all, the owner of an atrociously large chest and firm thighs that looked like they might burst through stockings at any moment could only be one person.

    “Sylvia Alpenheim…”

    Detestable.

Of all people to think of…

    [Delete character?]

    [Deleting character]

    [Delete character?] [Delete character?]

    “NoName sis!”

    “Yes…?”

“I’m all done! What do you think?”

Before I could sink deeper into my thoughts, I snapped back to reality at Lora’s urging voice.

She twirled around in front of me, showing off her avatar.

A fresh-faced country girl who looked about sixteen smiled brightly.

She resembled Lora so much that I thought this is exactly what she might look like in 10 years.

    AI really is amazing.

    “Does it look weird…?”

    “No.”

[Please clearly visualize the image of a person for precise avatar creation]

    [Countdown: 10]

I thought of my past life when I was around the age of Lora’s avatar.

The day I first entered the academy.

I go back to that day when I stayed up all night, too excited about escaping hell.

It’s hard to adapt to someone else’s body after all.

    [Avatar created]

    “You look pretty, Lora.”

    Estasha,

It seems I need to borrow your body once more.

    “Sis…!”

With this, our heights were matched.

I forced a bright smile and hugged Lora tightly.

“You look really pretty, Warrior Aurora.”

    “Eeek…”

    “Lora?”

Lora suddenly started shaking her hands.

    “Sis, I can’t breathe…!”

    “Oh, sorry.”

I must have hugged her too tightly.

    “Um… NoName sis? Well… um…”

“What is it? Is there a problem?”

“Isn’t your chest too big…? It might be uncomfortable to walk around with… I think.”

    “You think this is big?”

Her avatar was certainly meager compared to mine.

    A difference in values?

Well, I’ve lived as an adult before, so when I was sixteen, I didn’t find my body particularly unnatural.

I just regretted not being able to show Sylvia Alpenheim to Lora.

Want me to show you what ‘big’ really means?

    “Anyway, let’s start.”

    “Yay! Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go.”

[May the blessing of the World Tree be with you.]

    * * *

    I’m disappointed.

Was it always this easy to defeat wolves?

A tutorial that didn’t exist when I played before had appeared.

Lora diligently followed the arrows provided by the tutorial.

And there it was – a wild animal trap left behind by a forest hunter on the ground.

While feeling something was off, we could tell that a child named ‘Lephi’ was not far from us.

    [Prologue: Child of the Oracle]

The familiar story introduction appeared, and of course, the wolf howls weren’t missing.

[Lure the wolf to the hunter’s trap.]

    “Wolves are scary…”

Despite saying that, Lora successfully attracted the wolves’ attention by even using stones.

    “Awoooooo!”

    That wasn’t a wolf sound.

    It came from Lora’s mouth.

    That’s not necessary.

Anyway, the enraged wolves didn’t slowly close the distance but charged straight at us.

Of course, the trap was more than capable of capturing ten wolves.

With a click, they all collapsed in front of us one after another.

    “Wow! I caught the doggies!”

    “They’re not dogs, they’re wolves.”

Correcting Lora’s misconceptions was just a bonus.
