Ch. 36 Promise

    Chapter 36 – Promise

    &R;&e;&a;&d;& ;&o;&n;& ;&K;&a;&t;&R;&e;&a;&d;&i;&n;&g;&C;&a;&f;&e;

After the Raid, we all headed to Mister Kang Hangil’s house.

I felt rude constantly visiting Mister’s house, so I needed to get a Guild House soon.

“Arang, so you’re planning to buy equipment?”

“Yeah. I checked, and there’s crafting equipment with a slightly lower level than the stuff from the last Raid.”

LEORE is basically a game where you raise the equipment level instead of the player’s character level.

There are four ways to raise the equipment level.

The first, of course, is to use the equipment that drops after clearing a Raid. The second is to use the season equipment with resources obtained by clearing Daily and Weekly Quests. The third is to use equipment crafted by players with life professions.

And the last is unique equipment obtained by clearing specific bosses or specific quests, like the Taseom Sword I’m using now.

Every time a season is updated, three types of equipment are released: Raid, Season, and Crafted.

Naturally, the strongest equipment order is Raid, Season, and Crafted. If you check the LEORE equipment level now, Raid is 430, Season is 420, and Crafted is 410.

Unique equipment is automatically adjusted to the highest level of the current season. So unless you need specific options, you won’t have to replace it with other equipment.

Thanks to this system, LEORE isn’t just a game where you enjoy Raids; you can enjoy various content that comes out with every update, allowing you to play the game in many different ways.

Of course, this method isn’t perfect.

LEORE undergoes a soft reset every time a season update is made. The reason is that even if you match the average equipment level to 430 with Raid equipment, the season equipment level will be the same as the Raid equipment in the next season.

In other words, even if you do the highest Raid now, the level will be lower than the season equipment in the season after next.

To put it nicely, there’s no problem enjoying LEORE no matter when you start. To put it badly, the equipment you worked hard for becomes relatively weaker over time.

“The Crafted equipment just came out, so it’s going to be quite expensive. Are you sure you’re okay with that…?”

    “That’s the problem.”

“I only do cooking and alchemy, so I didn’t level up anything in the crafting area…”

Pink Berry said apologetically, but she had no reason to apologize.

In LEORE, crafting is a particularly valuable profession, even among the life skills.

Because it takes a lot of materials, gold, and time to level up compared to other jobs, and even if you reach MAX level, you’re not guaranteed to get the best equipment.

I knew it would cost a lot of money to buy crafting equipment directly from the Auction House.

Basically, the way to exchange real money for gold is a cash transaction between users, but I didn’t want to do that because it’s not officially supported by the game company.

So I had no choice but to earn gold directly and buy crafting equipment.

    But one problem arose.

There wasn’t a single [Swordmaster] exclusive crafting item in the Auction House.

No matter how much gold you have, you can’t buy something if it’s not listed.

    “This is a disaster…”

I knew that the Swordmaster job wasn’t very popular, but to think there’s no crafting equipment in the Auction House at all?

“It’s probably because the crafting equipment hasn’t been out for long, so there are still few people with high-level life skills.”

Just as I was about to despair at Soonchu’s words, Footwiper raised his hand.

    “What’s up?”

“I’ve mastered all the life crafting jobs with end-game equipment! As long as I have the materials, I can make Arangnim’s—no, Guild Leader’s—equipment anytime!”

“You really have MAX level crafting job equipment? You can really do it if you just have the materials?”

    “Of course!”

“Wow… Thank you so much, Footwipernim. I’ll quickly gather the materials and gold and come back.”

“Ah, well… I don’t need the materials and gold.”

“Huh? I know that it costs a lot of money just to make crafting equipment, and it takes a lot of time and money to level it up. You don’t have to do that just because I’m the Guild Leader.”

“It’s not that I won’t accept them, but is it okay if I ask for something else instead of the materials and gold?”

“You want to ask for something else?”

    Footwiper nodded.

“What do you want? If it’s something trivial, I’ll just put all the material costs and crafting gold in the mail.”

“It’s not that, but can you listen to me when we have a Regular Meeting later?”

“When we have a Regular Meeting? Well… I can do that.”

    “R, really!? Yesss, you promised!?!”

“Yes. I’m the Guild Leader. I don’t lie. But only to the extent that I’m able to listen.”

“Of course! It’s not that difficult…!”

In fact, it was too obvious what Footwiper would ask for at the Regular Meeting.

I looked at Footwiper, who was acting like this.

    [Munchkin Cat]

    LV: 60

    Arang’s Foot Licker

The request at the Regular Meeting seems to be asking if he can touch my feet. How could he make any other request with that nickname?

Was I really getting crafting equipment this easily?

Even if you exchange gold for cash now, the money to get crafting equipment would be several hundred dollars.

Originally, if you collect materials slowly and make equipment leisurely, it doesn’t cost that much gold, but if you try to get everything in a short period of time, it costs a lot.

Because you have to buy the materials with real money.

But it made me feel sorry that he said he’d make it just for touching my feet.

When I think about it, Anna and my parents often touch my belly. Well, when I think about it, there are no other parts to touch besides my belly. My face is covered by the Endoflife terminal, and I don’t have arms and legs, so I can’t touch my chest, so all that’s left is my belly.

So, if I don’t have feet at the Regular Meeting, wouldn’t he like it if I let him touch my belly instead?

    It’s a little embarrassing, though.

    “Hiyat!”

I repeatedly slashed the torso of a wild boar happily eating grass in a peaceful plain with the Taseom Sword.

Since it wasn’t a simple wild boar, the wild boar that was eating grass stared at me with red eyes.

I was slightly surprised by the damage, which was less than I expected.

    “Arang!”

At the same time as Pink Berry’s cry, I blocked the wild boar’s attack with my sword without hesitation, using the shield skill that was coming my way.

    Kaaang!

Now that I’m at MAX level and wearing some Raid equipment, and my Strength stat has increased a lot, I Parried without any problems and put in crazy Damage Per Second while the wild boar was Stunned.

The wild boar fell to the side and disappeared into particles.

    “It dropped!”

I ran quickly to the tusk item in the place where the wild boar fell, grabbed it, and almost shed tears of emotion while putting it in my Inventory.

What I’m doing now is hunting monsters that drop materials with Pink Berry to give the crafting materials to Footwiper.

I needed a lot of materials anyway, and I needed various materials, but the problem is that I have terrible luck.

“Thank goodness. It dropped early this time? There’s not much left, so let’s try a little harder.”

    “Yeah! Let’s go!”

Like last time, Arang’s body now had crazy Physical Skill.

Things that might come out in fantasy, like the scene in front of me slowing down, or feeling every movement of my body, or even feeling the system’s judgment, were so detailed and sharp.

I think that the senses of my arms and legs haven’t disappeared completely, but have been condensed and become Physical Skill.

But there was one disadvantage to this crazy Arang’s body, and that was luck.

    There was no luck.

I didn’t realize it at first.

I thought I was lucky until the Taseom Sword came out, but it seems like it started from the first Dungeon.

No matter how many times I ran each game, my equipment wouldn’t drop, and I matched the equipment by hitting the ceiling.

And in order to go to the Raid, I gathered doping materials and such materials, and it took several times more than average due to an unbelievable probability fight.

Starting with that, it was taking a long time to gather materials now.

Honestly, I almost gave up everything and went to Anna and said, “Give me some money so I can buy gold!”

But I thought this would be fun too.

    I’m angry.

20~30% probability? Absolutely not. It’s clear that this is a 1% probability.

“Oneesan, how much is left now?”

    “Umm… There are still 15 materials left…”

    “15…? Not 5, but 15…?”

“Yeah… Should we rest for a bit?”

    “Uh. I can’t. Let’s rest for a bit.”

At my words, Pink Berry took out a mat from the Inventory and spread it out in front of me. Pink Berry sat down first, stretching out her legs, and I naturally put my head on Pink Berry’s thighs and lay down.

“Oneesan, is your RyuTube doing well lately?”

“Yeah. It’s doing well thanks to Arang. But are you really okay? Even if you keep appearing on my RyuTube…?”

“Yeah. There’s no problem? There’s nothing that says I shouldn’t come out!”

“Arang is so kind that I’m worried. If someone later says they want to make a contract or make a deal, you must call Oneesan, okay? Huh?”

“Yeah. I understand. And you don’t have to worry. I know that kind of thing well.”

While playing many RPG games, I have seen various people and know them well.

Not to mention people who cheat, I can feel right away what kind of person someone is when I talk to them.

I understood why Pink Berry was worried about me.

From Pink Berry’s point of view, I’m a young 15-year-old girl who doesn’t go to school and has lived in the hospital all her life.

Pink Berry was stroking my head and sending me a worried look.
