Ch.359America’s Problem

“Yes, Your Excellency. The Bulgarian headquarters of the Rome Treaty has expressed their intention to cooperate with our government as much as possible.”
Good. That’s not bad.
“That’s enough, my friend. What kind of prime minister am I now? Just a powerless old man, nothing more.”
Adolf Hitler waved his hand dismissively.
Unlike the original history, he was, in fact, living out his natural lifespan.
Naturally, he had grown quite old by now.
“Ahem. Still, there’s no one like Your Excellency as our national father.”
“If I had known it would come to this, I would have dealt with everything when we divided Bulgaria. Tsk. Though I despise those Japanese fellows, the one thing I admire is their camps. Compared to China, Serbia is just a handful—we should have sent all those Serbian bastards to the gas chambers.”
This was truly regrettable to him.
He should have quietly buried everything when those “Japs” disappeared with all their sins.
After all, Serbia, already hated and despised by the world, wouldn’t face much scrutiny even if their massacres were later uncovered.
Above all, Hitler’s reputation was already tarnished by the Africa incident. What difference would it make to deal with an evil nation in Europe, unlike the Jews who were far away in the Far East?
“Well, isn’t it fortunate that these hateful people will no longer have the capacity to establish their own country?”
“Send in the military at the right time. We can push in under the pretext of protecting the Serbian-origin militia.”
Hitler planted his seed of instruction.
For now, that was the best way to push Serbia back as much as possible.
“Understood.”
As Adolf Hitler left the Prime Minister’s residence, he gazed up at the sky.
“National father. National father.”
It sounded impressive, but this couldn’t be solely his own achievement.
All of this seemed like a scripted play. It was as if someone had forcibly twisted the well-flowing course of history and molded it into one.
And it was obvious who the protagonist was. Russian Tsarina Anastasia.
A woman who could see the future and even prophesy.
The only person who knew the original history that he hadn’t changed.
‘That must be the real history.’
Himself in the world’s grand strategy.
In that grand strategy, Hitler had started an invasion war, shouldered all the sins of the European powers, and disappeared in a bunker with a bullet in his head.
Honestly, Hitler thought that version of himself was more accurate.
Perhaps the true background was that the death of the Tsar’s family was belatedly revealed, the Red Army won the civil war without Anastasia, the Soviet Union was established, and Germany was stained with fascism. He probably would have led that fascist Germany.
He would have rightfully called for Lebensraum to establish Germany as a dominant power.
Even now, if Anastasia hadn’t existed, if by some chance this Danube Federation had been integrated earlier…
They might have defeated Germany and immediately targeted Russia.
‘But that didn’t happen.’
The Russian Tsarina had changed many things.
Though bound by the Rome Treaty, the Danube Federation hailed him as their national father.
Wasn’t this a happy ending to Adolf Hitler’s life story?
“Then, what is the Tsarina’s ending?”
Is she truly a saint chosen by God?
Or is she a devil sent by Satan to rule the world and stain it with blood?
Either way, the world was moving forward more than ever before.
At the very least, wasn’t it a future where those hateful Serbian creatures would disappear?
* * *
The situation in Serbia was becoming increasingly miserable.
Belgrade, which could be considered the center of the Serbian autonomous region, was being stained with blood.
The war between the pro-Danube militia and the Chetniks.
This war increasingly brought only Serbian bloodshed.
Serbians proved themselves to be the world’s axis of evil, an evil nation, by killing each other repeatedly.
It was truly a regrettable situation.
“Hmm, I wonder how this will turn out.”
How would this proceed from here? This was quite a curious point.
How far would Serbia’s death toll go?
“Your Majesty, there seems to be a problem.”
“What problem now?”
From what I can see, our Maria I and II only bring problems.
Of course, it’s not Maria’s fault, but still. Now that everything is almost done, what problem could there possibly be?
Serbia isn’t a difficult opponent to the point of causing us problems. They’re self-destructing. What problem could there be?
“As the fighting continues for too long, the casualties are increasing exponentially.”
“And?”
Wasn’t that expected? Serbian bastards fighting among themselves and getting crushed is simply their destiny.
It would be good to see them annihilate themselves as a nation.
Just like the tragedy of fratricidal conflict happening in China right now.
Such mass death was somewhat condoned by the Rome Treaty headquarters.
European countries knew that those damn high-and-mighty Serbians were a major cause of war and attracted all sorts of aggression. That’s why they condoned crushing Serbia.
So there shouldn’t be any issues from the Rome Treaty organization. Then what?
“The UN is demanding that autonomous regions be established independently, saying it must be done peacefully.”
Ah, right. The UN exists. Indeed.
Who suggested creating the UN? Come out. I’ll beat you thoroughly.
Autonomous region establishment. Since an autonomous region already exists, what they’re referring to must genuinely mean an independent country.
In other words, it’s a baseless suggestion to give Serbia breathing room.
The only country that would make such a baseless suggestion against the Rome Treaty would be…
“Hmm, I suppose America is making the demand?”
It’s obvious what America would demand.
From my perspective, they’re trying to divert attention from social discontent by looking outward.
They’ll set the stage by saying the Rome Treaty is barbarically crushing Serbia within the Rome Treaty.
“Yes.”
I see. I suspected as much, and now America is taking that position.
Well, this much doesn’t matter. We only agreed to define regions, not to refrain from hostilities.
This makes things a bit annoying for the Rome Treaty.
America has a very strong influence in the UN.
Strictly speaking, they started hostilities in South America first. But still, to do this during a good opportunity to exterminate the Serbian nation is a bit…
My mouth is getting dry for no reason.
It seems Hitler was quite intent on this matter too.
“Tsk, we should have finished it quickly.”
If America has proposed it, it’s somewhat difficult to simply ignore.
Even if we drag out time to finish off Serbia, ending it in an unprepared state could lead to Chetnik guerrilla warfare later.
This has become quite troublesome.
“Can’t we just ignore it?”
Yes. We could ignore it and just capture Serbia.
“That’s true. But now that America has openly brought up Serbia, we can’t simply ignore it.”
Moreover, if the UN acts this way, it becomes meaningless.
Bluntly speaking, isn’t this what the UN is for?
“Then we’ll have to give something in return.”
“That’s right.”
This means I’ll have to meet with MacArthur.
What about negotiating with MacArthur again?
To say that the extermination of Serbia is a necessary step.
Of course, it would have to be a private conversation, and MacArthur probably doesn’t really care whether Serbia lives or dies.
Bluntly speaking, why would MacArthur care about Serbia dying or surviving across the Atlantic in Europe?
Unless his parents are Serbian, he wouldn’t care.
It could be a case of “you did your hostilities, so we’ll do ours,” or it could be an internal American issue.
“Wouldn’t there be some problem in America?”
Beria, who had been quiet, slipped in.
“I think there might be.”
If so, it would be right to give something to America.
Unfortunately, I don’t have much to give. Then, how about suggesting a way to solve the Black issue that’s trending in America recently?
No. Wouldn’t MacArthur already know?
Perhaps that’s why he’s requesting help from the UN.
More precisely, from the Rome Treaty, which has been both a rival and partner until now.
“I should go to America and meet MacArthur directly. I have a good solution.”
MacArthur’s help is essential for the extermination of Serbia.
“America, you say?”
MacArthur probably already knows to some extent.
Perhaps he’s waiting for someone to tell him. But that method could face criticism in the international community.
If he doesn’t know, I can teach him. Not bad.
So I plan to give him a push.
“I need to go personally for MacArthur to respond.”
Even if we want to overlook ordinary problems, this is to complement each other’s issues.
A summit meeting is something we both should do.
“How about inviting MacArthur to Moscow this time instead?”
“To Moscow?”
Until now, I’ve been the one going, so it would be right to invite him once.
“Both your mother and the Duma have told me to ensure Your Majesty doesn’t wander outside.”
“Anyone listening would think I’m an immature girl. America should be safe.”
But what can I do? I’m getting a bit tired now.
Honestly, considering all the overseas trips I’ve made, I’ve wandered around much more than in my previous life.
So it’s right for me to step back a bit now.
“Above all, this time is a bit different.”
“How so?”
“To be frank, MacArthur started this issue. Shouldn’t he be the one to come?”
That’s right. There’s no reason for me to go all the way there.
They should come on their own accord.
If they say it’s revenge for transferring weapons to Argentina, I wouldn’t have a response, but I don’t think it’s to that extent.
“You mean the one who started it should come and bow their head.”
That’s not entirely wrong. Then, shall we extend an invitation this time?
* * *
Washington D.C., United States of America.
MacArthur frowned.
Hadn’t he proudly declared to the UN just recently?
Honestly, it was a situation where he questioned if it was right to do this after what he had done.
Yes, MacArthur had requested the UN to stop the brutal massacres in Serbia and to grant them independence.
Of course, since the majority of the UN consists of Rome Treaty countries, it was essentially targeting the Rome Treaty.
“I’m not sure if this is right.”
Eisenhower, who would soon succeed MacArthur, narrowed his brow.
Mentioning Serbia to the UN like this was picking a fight with Rome.
To be honest, how long had the Rome Treaty been eyeing Serbia?
It was the Rome Treaty that had implanted the idea of Serbia as an evil nation and an object of hatred.
Having provoked them on the Serbian issue, they had no right to complain.
“Well, didn’t the Rome Treaty start it first?”
Didn’t the Rome Treaty touch South America first?
This was perhaps very natural, and not exactly a backstabbing move.
Hadn’t they agreed to sell weapons in advance?
“From their perspective, they just sold weapons.”
Yes, they just sold weapons. But because of that, what is this?
“Are they trying to play games with me? Even that has a level. They know our weapon technology is one step behind theirs, yet they do this.”
There’s no way they’re playing around. Eisenhower was more cold-headed than ever.
America was currently facing a severe social issue with Black people.
In the midst of this, distancing themselves from the Rome Treaty? Nothing could be more foolish.
In a situation where there’s already talk about whether to strike Argentina or not, there’s no benefit in making more enemies.
“That’s not it. I mean we might unnecessarily provoke them. The East Japan issue has essentially concluded, but still…”
It occurred to him that this might be seen as provoking the Tsarina. What if that Tsarina, in a fit of rage, started interfering in all sorts of American affairs?
“Then what do you suggest?”
“How about increasing welfare for Black people instead?”
America currently has many problems. Most notably, Black people.
Due to the previous KFC incident, Black people were now being oppressed by white people, beyond simple discrimination.
In the South, they were openly treating Black people as if they were back in the days of slavery.
What about increasing welfare for Black people?
The government could directly increase welfare for Black people and support those who served as the United States government’s army in the war against KFC.
“That would cause an uproar.”
White people would likely cause an uproar.
Rather than that, it might be better to support Asian Americans who had immigrated to the United States.
In reality, white people, absurdly, were highly valuing Asians in their effort to discriminate against Black people, and were primarily hiring Asians for jobs.
…In fact, there was some planning behind this.
