Ch.32EP 1 Fenrir

    “Perfect.”

    “Lady Charlotte…”

    “This is uncomfortable…”

The voices of Aurel and Hwang-gu came from below.

The two girls were clinging tightly to the body of the motorcycle.

It was truly an uncomfortable position, but it was a necessary choice for them to serve as my legs.

Without Aurel and Hwang-gu hanging on like that, this motorcycle would topple over immediately.

It seems they’re uncomfortable because there’s nothing proper to hold onto.

For Aurel and Hwang-gu’s sake, I stretched out my legs.

    “Here. Hold onto these.”

    “Oh…!”

    “Gasp…!”

Aurel and Hwang-gu immediately grabbed onto my outstretched legs.

The sensation of their palms clinging to my calves and thighs was quite peculiar, but I could endure anything for the sake of riding this motorcycle.

    “Then we’re off!”

    “Yes!”

    “Yesss!”

The two girls who had been complaining about discomfort just moments ago were now smiling brightly as if they’d never complained.

After confirming their smiles, I started the motorcycle and pulled the handlebar.

    Vrooom-!

A rough engine sound erupted as the wheels began to rotate.

Since I was sitting on the motorcycle, the massive vibration of the engine transferred through my body.

The next moment, the motorcycle charged forward.

    “Huh!”

    Pure speed.

I quickly turned the handlebar as I saw a large building rapidly approaching.

    Screech-!

The motorcycle tilted sharply with the sudden curve.

Hwang-gu’s tail almost scraped against the ground because of it.

    But then.

    Crash-!

    “Eek!”

    “Aack!”

    “Hyeek!”

Unable to control the motorcycle’s speed, I crashed into another building.

The impact sent my body flying.

Aurel and Hwang-gu, unable to withstand the shock, were also launched into the air.

My body spun rapidly while suspended in mid-air.

Unable to dissipate the rotational force, I began falling quickly.

    Thud-!

Finally, my body hit the ground with a loud noise.

As I rolled across the hard asphalt, Aurel and Hwang-gu’s bodies flew over and crashed beside me.

    Thump-! Thud-!

I got up from the ground with a grimace.

Under normal circumstances, this would have resulted in at least a broken arm or leg.

However, being a race far superior to humans, I felt no pain or injury.

The same would be true for Aurel and Hwang-gu.

The two girls also jumped to their feet following my lead.

    “Lady Charlotte…”

I ignored Aurel’s call and walked forward.

I was heading toward the building where the motorcycle had crashed.

It was just a mistake. This was my first time riding a motorcycle, so it was only natural.

Next time, there would be no mistakes.

    But.

    “Oh…!”

The motorcycle embedded in the wall was severely deformed.

It was this damaged just from hitting the wall of an abandoned building.

Hwang-gu and Aurel, who had hurried after me, also groaned at the sight of the wrecked motorcycle.

The front was completely crushed and caved in, and the handlebars were bent in a strange direction.

The wheels were in no better condition.

The flattened wheels were no longer circular but triangular in shape.

    The motorcycle was dead.

But I hadn’t given up yet.

This wasn’t the only motorcycle left behind by human users.

“H-hmm… it was a bit strange. Perhaps it was already damaged to begin with…”

I cleared my throat and carefully muttered to myself.

But Aurel and Hwang-gu didn’t seem to believe me.

They stood around the broken motorcycle, staring at me with expressionless gazes.

Finally, I ignored their stares and ran toward another intact motorcycle.

But with my short legs, I needed Aurel and Hwang-gu’s help to ride it.

After climbing onto the motorcycle, I called for the two girls.

    “Hwang-gu! Aurel!”

The children came running immediately at my call.

    Pitter-patter-!

    Pitter-patter-!

Their short legs moved very busily.

    “Combine again!”

    “Yes!”

    “Ha!”

When I stretched out my legs, Aurel and Hwang-gu clung to them without a moment’s hesitation.

And so they took on the role of my legs.

    “Let’s go again!”

Just like before, I started the motorcycle and pulled the handlebar.

    The engine sound erupted immediately.

    Vrooom-!

The wheels rotated, and the motorcycle shot forward at high speed.

This time, I would not fail.

I would not make a mistake.

For the sake of the children who trusted and followed me, I had to succeed this time.

    “Hyaah!”

I sped through the ruined city, maintaining a fast pace.

The broken and cracked asphalt road had sections that jutted up like speed bumps.

These occasionally made the motorcycle bounce.

    Bump-!

    “Eek…!”

    “Hek…!”

Each time, I heard faint groans.

Because of their uncomfortable position, these bumps were tough on the two girls.

I steered the motorcycle toward areas with fewer bumps.

Just as I turned a corner.

    A wrecked car suddenly appeared.

A massive truck was sprawled across the road.

There was nowhere to dodge. And I couldn’t suddenly reduce speed.

    “Hyaaah!”

I moved my shadow, spreading large wings behind my back.

    Flap-!

As the massive shadow wings began to flap, the motorcycle’s body lifted slightly.

This wasn’t enough. I flapped the wings once more.

    Flap-!

    Vrooom-!

With the rough engine sound, the motorcycle rose into the air.

The small leap using the wings allowed us to clear the large obstacle.

    Bump-!

The motorcycle fell immediately after clearing the truck, unable to withstand the weight.

The massive impact transferred from the motorcycle to my backside.

    “Uwaaa!”

    An unstoppable racing instinct.

I let out a fierce roar that erupted from within as I sped down the road.

The fusion bodies around reacted to my roar and began to chase, but they couldn’t keep up with the motorcycle’s speed.

    Vrooom-!

The rapidly speeding motorcycle left the busy downtown area.

We arrived at some residential area.

This place was also in a miserable state.

    Screech-!

I hit the brakes hard and brought the motorcycle to a stop.

The roads in the residential complex were not wide. With stopped cars and debris from various buildings scattered everywhere, it wasn’t a good place to ride a motorcycle at high speed.

Of course, people with good driving skills might navigate such places well.

    This worked out well.

I took the opportunity to summon my subordinates.

    “Come forth!”

The moment I shouted with my arms spread wide.

A massive shadow writhed and spat out six girls who resembled me.

I summoned them for farming purposes.

Now that I knew the location of the equipment shop, what I needed was more credits.

To arm Aurel, Hwang-gu, and all my subordinates, I needed a massive amount of credits.

“All of you, go around this residential area and gather items.”

    “Items…?”

    Yeppi grimaced at my command.

    But her body was honest.

The six girls immediately began to disperse.

    “Ah, MoonRabbitVv, don’t go.”

    As the six girls scattered.

MoonRabbitVv, who had been called by me, flinched and approached me.

Her hesitant manner suggested she was still uncomfortable around me.

I smiled faintly at the sight.

    It was an unnecessary worry.

I might have been intimidating when I was a large human, but I wouldn’t bully this small child who had already become my subordinate.

    “W-why are you calling me…”

    “I have something to ask.”

    “Eek…”

MoonRabbitVv let out a groan, squeezing her eyes shut at my answer.

What could she be thinking to show such a reaction?

I pressed her softened cheek firmly.

“Tell me the locations of other humans.”

    “L-locations…? Why…”

“Just tell me when I ask.”

    “Y-yes…”

    She’s quite argumentative.

As my subordinate, she should follow her master’s orders without questioning.

I took out a large map and a pen from within the shadows and handed them to MoonRabbitVv.

    “W-wow…”

MoonRabbitVv marveled at the pen she received.

The pen I gave her was a multi-color pen with five different colors.

It was certainly something to be impressed by.

“Mark the locations where human users gather, without any lies.”

    “Y-yes…!”

MoonRabbitVv made a sad face at my command.

    But her body was honest.

She immediately sat down and began working.

“Why are you asking for human locations? Are you planning to attack them?”

    I nodded at Aurel’s question.

In this world, power is authority.

To catch Fenrir and to avoid being attacked by other factions, I needed to expand my own forces.

That’s why I planned to increase my subordinates.

    “You’re amazing as expected!”

    “Lady Charlotte, you’re so cool!”

Flattery poured from Hwang-gu and Aurel.

I just nodded slightly with my arms crossed.

    Pitter-patter-!

    Pitter-patter-!

My subordinates, scattered throughout the residential area, came running back to me, each with their arms full of items.

They dumped the items into the shadow.

After emptying all their items, they scattered again to farm more.

If I had more subordinates, the item farming speed would increase.

An army of girls resembling me.

Just imagining it made me happy.

    “Um… Lady Charlotte…?”

    “What?”

MoonRabbitVv’s voice snapped me out of my reverie.

Looking down slightly, I saw MoonRabbitVv with a sad expression.

    “T-this is broken…”

MoonRabbitVv showed me the multi-color pen she was holding.

The pen looked as if it had been crushed by a powerful press.

It wasn’t a simple malfunction, but damage caused by an external factor.

    “I-I’m sorry… I’ve become too strong…”

As I tilted my head and looked at the pen, MoonRabbitVv hung her head low with a sad expression.

It seems she couldn’t control the superhuman strength she gained from becoming a vampire.

    I silently patted MoonRabbitVv’s head.

I wouldn’t scold a subordinate just because a pen broke.

    Pitter-patter-!

At that moment, I heard footsteps.

Turning my head slightly, I saw it was Yeppi.

Yeppi, who had her arms full of items, smiled awkwardly when our eyes met.

    “Yeppi.”

    “W-why again…”

    “Give me the crayons.”

My target was the crayons Yeppi was holding.

    “N-no…!”

    But Yeppi refused my command.

Of course, her body was honest, so she approached me and handed over the crayons.

    “No…!”

Yeppi bit her lip with a sad expression.

I gave the crayons I took from Yeppi to MoonRabbitVv.

“I’ll use them briefly and give them back.”

    “Argh…!”

Yeppi stomped her feet in anger, but that was all she could do.

    “Wow…”

MoonRabbitVv smiled brightly as she received the crayons from me.

As if determined not to break them this time, she began marking the map with careful hands.
