Ch.328Fun Event Preparation (2)
by fnovelpia
Of course, I had considered using the Neranjara-class.
But the Neranjara-class… its firepower is barely on par with a regular destroyer, yet it devours a monstrous 50 points.
Would that really be allowed in an event where “cruiser-class and below” can participate?
Logically, since its point value exceeded that of cruisers, it shouldn’t be eligible for this event.
At first, I laughed off Jessica’s suggestion, but…
After naturally completing most of the fleet formation while discussing various things.
“Hmm, so your event fleet composition will be one cruiser, one light cruiser, four destroyers, and two patrol ships?”
“Yes, and let’s add the Neranjara to that as well.”
Figuring I had nothing to lose, I decided to immediately incorporate the Neranjara into the fleet.
After all, if there were restrictions, it simply wouldn’t be allowed in the event fleet.
And surprisingly, the moment I added the Neranjara to the event fleet…
It slipped in smoothly without any warning messages, which made me feel… rather strange.
‘Well, the Neranjara’s size and firepower aren’t really different from a regular destroyer, so I guess it makes sense… but still…’
Thanks to this, I felt my moral compass spinning in circles, wondering if I was the only one using a cheat key…
But that feeling didn’t last long.
‘Actually, this is great.’
With only regular-grade ships available, having the Neranjara meant I could employ what you might call “unconventional tactics.”
I fired up my fighting spirit, determined to defeat any opponent, and decided to officially participate in the event with a cruiser as my flagship.

But once we entered the event, there was an issue that neither the users like myself nor even the event organizers had anticipated.
The problem was that when users entered the event map from their bases, the event maps were divided by identifying individuals through their base IP addresses and such.
The issue arose when users who had docked at outposts entered the event map through those outposts.
Unexpectedly, a bug occurred where they were grouped together with the team of the clan leader or user who owned that outpost.
And both the organizers and users only discovered this problem after entering the event map…
As a result.

The user matched against me unfortunately found themselves in a situation where they had to face 1,104 user fleets that had docked at Avalon and Barracuda.
What made it even more ridiculous was that this wasn’t happening just to me…

Title: ATTENTION EVERYONE TRYING TO ENTER THE EVENT RIGHT NOW!!!!.txt

Either the organizers really screwed up, or users who are docked at outposts are all being processed as the same team when entering the event
It’s not just me or a few others, tons of people are getting screwed over and everyone’s filing complaints to the organizers right now
This is bullshit
Comments:
-[What kind of mess is this LOLOLOLOLOL]
-[I got destroyed in a 1 : 10 match, lost three cruisers before surrendering]
-[Honestly, I think the organizers need to restore everything for this]
-[Seriously, I suddenly got matched against 700 people and was wondering what was happening]
-[I got matched against a thousand LOLOLOLOL]
—————————————–
The outrage from users who were suddenly ganged up on was exploding everywhere.
The situation was completely out of control, with complaints flooding both the gallery and chat rooms.
Of course, given the limited number of outposts controlled by users, the total number of affected users wasn’t that high, but…

Title: Did anyone get a legendary match in this event?

I saw the #1 ranked player on the opposing side and thought, “Damn, this is going to be an intense battle”
Then suddenly the numbers started increasing until they stopped at that figure
It was so ridiculous I tried to surrender
But surrendering wasn’t even an option.
I was about to get completely destroyed when the other side offered to only damage my ships to medium damage instead of destroying them, so we settled on that and I got out
Organizers, you incompetent bastards, can’t you do your job properly?

…with some people even ending up in 1 : 11,513 battles.
The situation was completely chaotic, with every community including the gallery burning with activity.
Of course, the extreme anger was only coming from the users who were on the receiving end.

As shown by the reactions in the “Senior Center,” the chat room for users docked at Avalon and Barracuda, those who tasted the fruits of victory were in good spirits about their free wins.
And it wasn’t just us – large clans like Humanity, as well as Loki, Justice, Biomass, and the Magellan-Southern Alliance – all outpost owners had benefited from this.
They were all trying to control public opinion with similar reactions, but…

<<<EMERGENCY UPDATE NOTICE>>>
<We have confirmed an error in the “Fleet Confrontation” event where Commanders docked at outposts are being massively assigned to the same team.>
<This has been fixed immediately upon confirmation, and ships and superhumans will be restored for Commanders who suffered due to this error.>
<We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our Commanders.>
—————————————–
Since this issue was far too severe to ignore.
As soon as the organizers identified the situation, they immediately restored the affected users’ fleets and superhumans while fixing the error.
Unfortunately, from the second battle onward, there would be no more enjoyable mass battles – the event would proceed as originally intended, with pure contests of users’ physical, mental, and magical☆ skills.
And even though fleets and superhumans were rolled back.
Users who had their “victories” taken away clamored for battle results to be rolled back as well.

-[We should obviously suppress everything, right?](König)

Unfortunately for them, the moderators who had tasted the fruits of victory intervened en masse and completely suppressed those opinions.
The demands for victory rollbacks were buried in the gallery.
