Ch.328[Episode 328] Reverse World – Region 3

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica left Baron&Baroness with expressions like they were walking in a dream.

Their attire had long since returned to ordinary clothing suitable for daily wear, but Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica were still distracted by what had just happened.

    “Wasn’t that amazing?”

    “Yes, indeed…”

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica continued walking in a daze.

    Until they bumped into someone.

    “Ah-!”

    “Oh, I apologize.”

Sir Dominic had collided with someone while walking.

The person who was bumped into couldn’t withstand Sir Dominic’s stats and fell to the ground. Sir Dominic extended his hand to help the fallen person up.

However, the fallen person seemed irritated and angrily brushed away Sir Dominic’s hand.

“Where are you looking? Keep your eyes open when you walk!”

Sir Dominic stared blankly at the blonde man who resembled a goblin and was suddenly getting angry.

Had Sir Dominic done something so wrong to deserve such treatment?

No matter how he thought about it, he hadn’t.

Sir Dominic looked at the man before him once more.

The man was wearing a military uniform like Captain Elang, but had nothing on his head.

He brushed the dust off his flowing hair while expressing irritation toward Sir Dominic.

    “What are you looking at?”

“Are you perhaps a commander as well?”

Sir Dominic asked about his identity with a hopeful heart.

“Hmph. Seems my reputation precedes me? Yes. I am Hansen, one of the commanders leading the front group.”

Sir Dominic looked at the blonde, goblin-like commander who had introduced himself as Hansen.

He was looking at Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica with an arrogant expression. The reason I didn’t say he was looking down on them was because he was considerably shorter than both Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica.

“By the way, who are you two who bumped into me? Characters I haven’t seen before?”

Captain Hansen maintained his arrogance as he asked about Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica’s identities.

His tone was so irritating that Sir Dominic almost disregarded chivalry and punched Captain Hansen.

Fortunately, Sir Dominic was a knight with considerable mental strength, and the same was true for Sir Dominica.

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica suppressed their irritation at Captain Hansen’s attitude and introduced themselves.

“I am Sir Dominic of Feralant.”

    “Sir Dominica of Feralant.”

    “Sir Dominic? Sir Dominica?”

Captain Hansen narrowed his eyes as if hearing these names for the first time.

As if he had no interest in nobodies he’d never seen or heard of.

    “Characteristics? What are your characteristics?”

Captain Hansen fired questions at Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica in an almost interrogative, rude manner.

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica looked at each other briefly, then answered Captain Hansen’s question.

His tone was somewhat irritating, but he was still a commander, and knowing more commanders couldn’t hurt.

    “Tank.”

    “Both of you?”

    “That’s right.”

Only then did Captain Hansen smile brightly.

Of course, only Captain Hansen himself thought so.

To Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica, Captain Hansen’s smile resembled that of a nouveau riche full of desire and greed.

“That’s perfect. I’ve been lacking proper tanks in my unit.”

Captain Hansen continued speaking as if things were going well.

“I’ll forgive your rudeness of bumping into me earlier. In exchange, work in my unit. For free, forever.”

    “Free?”

    “Forever?”

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica responded incredulously to Captain Hansen’s words.

    “Yes. Free, forever.”

Captain Hansen said this as if it were obvious.

In Gacharland’s beta test, the method of maintaining a unit was quite peculiar.

The existing pioneers used a method of drawing cards from the card pack exchange, implanting them into androids, and deploying them to the battlefield.

However, with the start of the beta test, the method used by commanders changed to a unique system called employment, which literally meant employing the first 100 people.

When commanders rolled gacha at the card pack exchange using resources, they received what were called employment cards.

Employment cards contained information about the first 100 individuals, and using one allowed you to employ the recorded person once.

After building awareness and favorability, one could employ without an employment card, but no commander had yet built enough favorability with citizens.

Anyway, Captain Hansen didn’t really intend to use Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica for free forever.

It was true that Captain Hansen needed tanks, and it was true that he was looking for tanks.

However, Captain Hansen, unwilling to pay the proper price for tanks, chose to take advantage of Gacharland’s freedom and slash the price as much as possible.

This was surprisingly effective in Gacharland.

Especially for 1-star or 2-star characters who were in precarious positions and often gratefully accepted even low employment fees to avoid falling behind.

If this approach hadn’t worked, Captain Hansen wouldn’t have been speaking such nonsense to Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica with such an arrogant attitude.

But Captain Hansen had made several mistakes.

First, Captain Hansen didn’t know Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica well.

    “Not interested.”

“You seem to think we’re pushovers, but that’s not possible.”

    “What?”

In Gacharland, Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica were 4-star tier with top-level recognition.

However, commanders had just been introduced to Gacharland through the beta test and lacked information, so they didn’t know how remarkable Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica were.

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica were not small fry that someone like Captain Hansen could treat with arrogance.

Rather, they were individuals who might consider employment only if he had bowed his head humbly. His arrogant approach was a major blunder.

The second mistake was that Captain Hansen didn’t know ‘how strong’ Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica were.

This might seem similar to the first mistake, but they were distinctly different.

“You don’t understand how generous my offer… Ah, forget it. In that case, I’ll just have to show you what an amazing commander I am.”

As Captain Hansen flicked his short-cut hair, three androids appeared from somewhere.

The three girls looked almost identical to Captain Elang’s androids, but somehow appeared tougher and fiercer.

“Ha! These are fully upgraded androids. No one has ever defeated these three.”

    Captain Hansen laughed maliciously.

He seemed confident of victory already.

“Come on! Attack! I’ll show you the difference in our levels!”

    “I refuse.”

    “Exactly. Why should we fight?”

    “…What?”

Captain Hansen tried his best to provoke Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica.

However, Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica didn’t take the bait.

No, rather, they looked at Captain Hansen with pity for making such provocations.

With expressions that said he was trying too hard.

“…Ha! Cowards! You’re scared? As expected, you’re afraid of my androids—”

“That’s not it. Um… wouldn’t there be repair costs to restore the androids?”

“You said they were maximally enhanced androids? If we fail to control our strength, it could cost hundreds of thousands of Credits.”

Captain Hansen continued to provoke Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica, but they paid no attention to his provocations.

Instead, Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica discussed the consequences of fighting, which was natural considering the difference in level between them and the androids.

However, Captain Hansen was still misjudging his own forces.

“…Ha! Enough. It seems you’re trying to bluff with words, but that won’t work with me! Suzuki! Lily! Lee! Attack!”

Captain Hansen gave up on his provocations.

Rather, seeing Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica only made him angrier, and he realized his provocations weren’t working.

Instead of continuing the conversation, Captain Hansen immediately ordered his androids to attack Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica.

If they had been real citizens with actual tiers rather than androids, they might have stopped Hansen, but the androids were only faithful to their commander’s orders.

“Now it’s too late to cry and beg. You should have accepted when I offered—”

Captain Hansen was speaking triumphantly to Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica.

    Until their appearances changed.

    “…What did you say?”

Sir Dominic, now clad in splendid armor made of gold, platinum, and silver, spoke with beams of light streaming from his eyes.

“All responsibility falls on you. We warned you, didn’t we?”

And Sir Dominica, also wearing splendid dress-like armor made of gold, platinum, and silver, raised her musket decorated with gold and platinum.

They truly appeared like demigods descended to the mortal world.

Only then did Captain Hansen realize something had gone terribly wrong.

But by the time he realized it, it was already too late.
