Ch.327[Chapter 327] Mythical Skin

“Ah, don’t worry. It’s because there are too many Gacha Stones.”

The baroness broke into a cold sweat as she looked at the two dazzling sets of golden armor.

Whether her words were true or not, more mannequins began to appear on the scale.

    “Ah, I see.”

Sir Dominic noticed that as each new mannequin appeared and was dressed with an outfit, the scale gradually tilted toward the side with the mannequins.

It seemed that the value of the Gacha Stones was so high that a single outfit couldn’t possibly match it.

After the golden armor, other expensive-looking clothes began to appear.

There was armor made of sharply cut diamonds, armor with each chain link adorned with platinum…

These were the epitome of splendor, armors that could intimidate people just by being displayed at home.

Of course, not everything was flashy.

Sometimes just a belt would appear, or avant-garde clothes that looked like they belonged in a fashion show, or outfits modeled after animals.

It was as if the clothes were appearing randomly to show just how much money could be spent.

“…None of these appeal to me.”

However, Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica didn’t particularly like any of these clothes despite looking at them.

All the outfits seemed to incorporate both Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica’s preferences, but had boldly discarded elements that were difficult to coexist.

    “Please wait a moment.”

The baroness, breathing heavily as if she had been dancing excessively, spoke to Sir Dominic.

She seemed to think that Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica were disappointed.

“Still, still have the final ritual left. Honey? Please use the ‘Scottish Orchestra’!”

The baron made a circle with his finger as if understanding, and then began to play an incredibly fast piece.

The fast-tempo piece, with notes changing about seven times per second, was so rapid that one might doubt whether the baron playing it was even breathing.

The baroness and Titis showed off amazing footwork to match the music.

Each time they matched a beat with their feet, enormous amounts of fairy dust began pouring into the cauldron.

The cauldron placed on the scale was large enough to fit four people, but it still became completely filled with fairy dust and Gacha Stones.

At that moment, tremendous light leaked out again.

The brilliant light that began to leak out as if pushing away the Gacha Stones and fairy dust, soon grew into one stream, then two, and then exploded, engulfing the interior of Baron & Baroness with light that shot out through the windows.

The light when the golden armor appeared earlier was impressive, but this was even more dazzling and bright.

    “…Something seems different.”

Sir Dominic was the first to recover his vision in this situation.

This was because he had covered his eyes with his hands and turned around as soon as he saw the light.

Sir Dominic’s intuition was accurate, allowing him to protect his eyes from this tremendous light.

“We’ve synthesized all the clothes that have appeared so far…”

The baroness said, gasping for breath between the gradually disappearing light.

“You may not know this, but basically skins can be upgraded to higher tiers through synthesis.”

But synthesis is based on probability, and to guarantee synthesis, you need several items of the same tier, the baroness explained.

“That’s why I brought Titis. No one is better at synthesis than Titis.”

The light had almost faded now, but the two mannequins on the scale still hadn’t lost their glow.

Titis, seemingly too exhausted to speak, stared at the mannequins for a moment before collapsing on the ground, and the baron, apparently feeling he no longer needed to play, put down his bagpipes while gasping for breath.

“Whew, this is killing me. Getting old means my stamina isn’t what it used to be.”

The baron said as he put a rosewood pipe in his mouth.

He thought he needed to rest a bit since his energy was depleted.

Sir Dominic felt a little sorry watching them.

If he had given fewer Gacha Stones, they probably wouldn’t have ended up in such a mess.

But what-ifs are just what-ifs, and since it had already happened, Sir Dominic decided not to worry about this issue anymore.

Instead, he looked at the mannequins where the light was gradually fading.

    “…My goodness.”

    “This… this is amazing.”

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica looked at the two outfits that appeared after the light had completely faded.

The first thing that caught their eye was Sir Dominica’s outfit.

It was based on black with gold trim, just like the previous knight’s ceremonial dress, but the details were extraordinary.

The dress-shaped outfit had armor parts made of gold and platinum, and the armor was so thin, sturdy, and well-matched with the outfit that Sir Dominica was captivated by the desire to wear it immediately.

Above all, the armor was adorned with numerous medals, all from Feralant.

The red banner flowing from the shoulder to the waist made the outfit look like it belonged to an ambassador, governor, or grand general of Feralant.

    Sir Dominic’s outfit was similar.

Sir Dominic’s outfit was a bit simpler than Sir Dominica’s, with the same gold tassels and banners on the shoulders, but it gave an even more splendid and brilliant impression than before.

It truly gave the feeling that if one were to stand somewhere wearing this outfit, someone would have to approach and swear allegiance on the back of their hand.

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica were thoroughly pleased with the outfits before them.

But the greatness of these outfits didn’t end there.

    “My goodness. Mythical tier skins!”

The baroness, who had been exhausted from the overly vigorous dance, seemed to have recovered some energy as she made a fuss.

“Throughout my life, those who owned mythical tier skins in Gachaland could be counted on one hand. Now Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica have become owners of mythical tier skins!”

    “Mythical tier, you say?”

Sir Dominic looked carefully at the outfit again upon hearing the baroness’s words.

    “This outfit?”

The baroness answered Sir Dominic’s question.

“Of course. Ah, it might not look mythical tier from the outside because it appears simple. But…”

The baroness led Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica to the front of the mannequins.

It was an incredible strength that came from who knows where.

“Try them on first, then we’ll talk. These outfits have a secret.”

The baroness handed the outfits to the two people and suggested they change into them, as if it would be fun.

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica felt a bit burdened by wearing these incredible outfits, but thinking they would have to wear them from now on, they began to change.

Finally, when Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica finished changing, there stood individuals transformed from veteran knights who had been through thick and thin into high-ranking knights with tremendous skill.

    “Remarkable.”

Sir Dominic was satisfied with the incredible fit.

“Despite all this armor hanging on it, it’s so light.”

Sir Dominica couldn’t hide her surprise at the weight of the outfit.

These outfits were basic skins that could be worn anytime as they wanted, yet they were comfortable.

    “By the way…”

Sir Dominic remembered how the baroness had trailed off earlier.

“Weren’t you about to say something earlier?”

“Yes. You mentioned there was a secret, what is it?”

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica looked at the baroness, their expressions changing from satisfaction to new expectation.

“That’s simple. Would you try thinking about transforming?”

The baroness told Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica to try transforming.

    “Transform, you say?”

    “In this outfit?”

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica tilted their heads but followed the baroness’s instructions and mentally shouted “transform.”

    “Nothing’s happening… W-what’s this?”

Sir Dominica was about to question the baroness when she saw no change, but just then her outfit began to transform.

The armor pieces that were already attached to various parts of the outfit expanded, transforming into a full-body armor that was both splendid and incredibly light.

The full-body armor consisted of chainmail woven from platinum with plate armor made of gold and silver on top, but unlike typical plate armor, it fit tightly to the body in a somewhat unique way.

Below the armor was a red cape split into two, and at the waist was an antique gun decorated with gold and platinum in a holster adorned with silver and gold.

    “W-what is this?”

While Sir Dominica was surprised by this sudden transformation, a wreath made of platinum and gold was placed on her head.

The appearance was truly that of a battle saint, a demigod.

Sir Dominic’s transformation wasn’t much different.

However, since Sir Dominic’s basic outfit had been less ornate than Sir Dominica’s, his transformation was more splendid—chainmail made of platinum with plate armor of gold and silver on top, a platinum halo of metal behind his head, and a wreath made of platinum and gold on his head.

But what set Sir Dominic apart from Sir Dominica was…

“…Light is coming from your eyes?”

Sir Dominica said, looking at Sir Dominic.

Sir Dominic was wearing an eyepatch made of platinum, and from the uncovered eye, streams of light were emanating as if he had become a deified being.

Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica looked at each other, as if they had become demigods.
