Ch.31Strong Blood Tower (2)
by fnovelpia
When Irina regained consciousness, she stared blankly into space.
At first, I was worried that something might be wrong with her due to the excessive pleasure, but I felt relieved when I saw her speaking normally.
On the other hand, the fact that I, who am called a True Ancestor, caused such a disaster because I wasn’t accustomed to something as simple as drinking blood…
‘Hmm…’
Somehow Irina had become my practice partner… but I was confident that I’d become sufficiently accustomed to it with this one feeding, so this wouldn’t happen again next time.
I was certain of it.
I handed Irina some water and sat down beside her.
“I’m sorry. I’m not very familiar with blood drinking… I don’t think I knew what moderation was.”
I had tried my best to ensure Irina wouldn’t suffer or feel pain, but it seems I only made things more difficult for her, which made me truly sorry.
“… Ah, that…”
At my words, Irina seemed to return to her senses momentarily and turned toward me, but then quickly lowered her head.
Her trembling eyes darted away.
“It’s, it’s fine… really…”
Looking at Irina, who answered in a mumble while fidgeting with her fingers and with a reddened face, I instinctively knew.
‘It’s not fine at all…’
It felt awkward for me to say this since I caused it, but she had quite spectacularly lost control in front of me…
She had every reason to feel embarrassed.
And even though she was fond of me, it wouldn’t have been strange if she showed resentment toward me for what happened.
“Don’t worry, this will be the first and last time…”
Out of sympathy, I stroked Irina’s head, telling her that this wouldn’t happen again, so please don’t resent me too much.
Irina looked startled at my words.
“Th-that…”
She squirmed uncomfortably for a while, then hung her head low.
‘What’s wrong?’
Is she upset?
“Is there a problem?”
“N-no… um… uh…”
Irina, who always showed a bright smile and innocent demeanor, was stammering in front of me for the first time.
It was quite surprising to see this reaction from someone who had been smiling happily right up until I used the Blood Strengthening Art.
I could guess the reason, but…
“I-it’s fine…”
Irina avoided answering.
Then there was nothing more I could do.
Pressing further would only make Irina feel worse.
“We’ll check your Blood Magic tomorrow… For now, go get some rest.”
I need to write an explanation post all night.
This is truly maddening.

The Green Tower.
It was a tower where mages who primarily studied nature magic gathered. Since nature magic was mostly practiced by elves, there were a great number of elves in the tower.
While there were no official restrictions on which races could enter the Magic Tower, having elves—a long-lived race incomparable to humans—settled in the Green Tower caused… many kinds of problems.
The biggest issue was undoubtedly the clash between the middle and high-ranking mages who were essentially the real power in the Green Tower—the relatively older Millennium Generation—and the younger elves and humans of the HP (Hundred Pad) Generation.
The Green Tower suffered from severe low birth rates and an aging population.
It was inevitable.
Elves, being a long-lived race that lived for thousands of years, tended to stay in the Magic Tower for a long time once they entered.
Since the Magic Tower had only existed for a thousand years, mages who already had high skill levels when the tower was first established had taken the upper positions in the Green Tower.
As a result, most of those who had settled in the Green Tower were relatively elderly middle and high-ranking mages, compared to newcomers.
In modern society terms, it was essentially a country of old people!
The position of young people in the Green Tower was inevitably buried deep down below.
How could a handful of them exert any influence?
That’s how TowerInside, the Green Tower forum, had once been a sanctuary for the tower’s youth.
It was a place where they could comfort each other from the daily oppression by the elderly, but…
– Oh, what is this place?
– What an interesting place… seems good for conversations.
– I didn’t know this existed,,, these young folks nowadays,,, tsk tsk,,,
That day, the young people of the HP Generation remembered…
The horror of the Millennium Generation invading their sanctuary…
The humiliation of being forced to do all kinds of menial tasks just because they were young…
“Hah…”
With a bang, the door opened, and a girl strode into the room.
Her expression was deeply furrowed, as if something unpleasant had happened.
“Those damn old fogeys…!”
The power structure of the Magic Tower consisted of two parts.
The Council of Elders—a group composed of those who had reached the position of elder, which only the most skilled mages who had spent the longest time in the Magic Tower could attain.
And…
“This is so annoying, seriously!”
The girl, who had thrown off her clothes in frustration, jumped onto the bed and lay down.
“Damn… what kind of Tower Master is this…”
A position that only one person per Magic Tower could hold.
The master of the Magic Tower, a position that could only be attained by someone directly appointed by the Great Sage Eterna.
The Tower Master.
“Arrrrggghhhhh!”
Writhing on the bed and letting out a strange cry was Seria Woodrin, a girl with light green hair and the Tower Master of the Green Magic Tower.
“Hah… I guess I’ll check the forum…”
Seria muttered, cautiously entering the Green Tower forum with a hint of hope.
The girl’s eyes, which had been shining with a bit of expectation, soon lost their light again.
“Just as I thought…”
[Today,,, I grew,,, this plant,,,]
[Is it possible to grow plants faster using nature magic?]
[I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything as beautiful as this child in my life…]
The Green Tower forum was ruined.
Actually, it had been ruined for a long time.
It had been in this state for hundreds of years.
[I’m so sick of this I’m going to kill every plant I see]
I really want to send these crazy old people to their graves when I see them getting all excited over plants
I don’t understand why they took over the forum we were using and just use it among themselves, seriously
They complain about “kids these days” when we use MagicPads, but why are they using MagicPads to post on the forum? I really don’t get it
Seria silently agreed with that post.
This deserved an upvote.
– Ahem… Tower Master of the Green Tower, this is… inappropriate, isn’t it?
– It’s absolutely unthinkable to visit the stronghold of those ominous Blood Mages…!!
– They manipulate blood, the very essence of all life’s vitality, as they please!
“I said I’ll handle it myself…”
The old people were strongly opposing her plan to meet the Blood Tower Master and trying to interfere.
Seeing these old folks who were openly trying to control her made her understand why someone would want to send them to their graves.
Honestly, without any exaggeration, she felt like going crazy with the desire to load each of those immovable old people onto a carrier and throw them out of the Magic Tower.
Though that was impossible.
Comments:
– Hmm… Is the writer really a mage of the Green Magic Tower? I wonder how a Green Tower mage could have such thoughts. Under which Green Mage did you study?
ㄴ Who would tell you that, idiot? lol
ㄴㄴ How unfortunate… Your desire to destroy things related to the path you walk, without confidence or respect for it, suggests you’ve experienced great despair. However, attempting to take life as you are is unforgivable… The flowers you seek to destroy may wither under your touch but will bloom again through their will to live, while your state, with no strength left to bloom, seems merely pitiful—like a final struggle to announce your existence to the world…
– Child… I think the way you young ones use this forum is wrong. This is a place to explore and exchange knowledge, not to vent complaints.
ㄴ This is a forum, damn it!! A place to talk about whatever you want!!! You guys only post pictures of plants anyway!!!
ㄴㄴ Heh heh… such an impudent one…
“I can’t stand this anymore.”
The Green Tower was doomed.
Seria shook her head vigorously and left the Green Tower forum.
Even for someone like her, it was difficult to ignore the Council’s opinions and go meet the Blood Tower Master.
If she did, rumors would spread that the Tower Master was disregarding the Council, which would certainly turn public opinion against her.
The old people who supported the Council were desperate to find any weakness in her.
“Save me… Vladi…”
She sighed deeply, muttering the nickname she had given to a man she once loved.
