Ch.318Education (2)

My contemplation, which isn’t really a contemplation, about a scene that will appear at the end of volume 24 means the same thing as volume 23 being released.
The main content of volume 23 is the final battle between Jealousy and Xenon in a kingdom on the brink of destruction. And between them, numerous logical arguments are exchanged.
Jealousy readily admits that his revenge, though justified to himself, is still an evil deed, while Xenon looks at Jealousy with pity rather than anger.
Clearly under the same sky, taught by the same master, yet born with completely opposite destinies.
One destined to drive the world to ruin, the other destined to save it.
Though their situations were starkly contrasting, ironically, Xenon understood Jealousy.
Because while Jealousy was his perfect arch-enemy, Xenon himself could have become like Jealousy. Yet even though he understood the pain, he couldn’t empathize with it.
More accurately, he chose not to. No matter how tragically unfortunate Jealousy’s circumstances were, the fact that he committed evil acts remained unchanged.
And so Jealousy and Xenon faced each other. The place where they met was none other than the royal audience chamber.
The audience chamber was drenched in blood from Jealousy’s massacre, and Jealousy himself had slaughtered his own kin before sitting on the throne.
His father’s head on the right, his brother’s head—who had taken his beloved—on the left.
Finally, with his lover who had taken her own life seated in the queen’s position, Jealousy calmly welcomed Xenon.
I can’t even describe how much effort went into that scene alone. I worked hard to express the feeling that while it seemed like visiting a king for an audience, it also felt like going to vanquish a dungeon master.
In fact, Jealousy called himself a “king.” The ironic part was that the kingdom was about to be reduced to ashes by demons.
Thus began the light debate between the two. After the debate, realizing they couldn’t understand each other, they engaged in earnest combat.
Especially what Jealousy said to Xenon right before the battle will stick in many people’s minds.
[I didn’t ask to be born into this world. I didn’t ask for such parents. I didn’t ask to live such a life. I didn’t want to be born into this world.]
Words that represent the miserable life story of Jealousy, and the feelings of illegitimate children who still suffer today.
The perception of illegitimate children is so low that it’s considered natural for them to be abandoned at birth. This is because they can cause family discord and even greater chaos.
Of course, there are some decent people who take responsibility for their illegitimate children, but they are extremely rare. Most consider them a “stain” and abandon them without mercy.
In severe cases, assassins are sent to eliminate them cleanly. As Jealousy said, illegitimate children are forced to live unwanted lives.
This perfectly fits the case of a victim who becomes a perpetrator. If only someone had helped them live like a human being, they would never have turned out that way.
[King Fredrick was praised as a romantic in public, but in the end, he had his flaws. Other royals or nobles would be no different.]
[If one cannot control their lower body, shouldn’t they at least take responsibility for the child?]
[Cases like Jealousy’s are historically common.]
[If the demon invasion had actually happened, countless people could have become like Jealousy.]
Because of this, interest in illegitimate children has grown significantly.
Jealousy’s tragic past, and further overlapping with the reality of Fredrick’s true nature, makes it impossible not to be interested.
Therefore, the perception that was already at rock bottom has now clearly shifted from seeing them as “potential perpetrators” to “victims.”
[After King Fredrick’s shocking confession, more people are revealing themselves as nobles’ illegitimate children…]
[I won’t ask you to take responsibility. But I wish I could have lived like a human being.]
Since this was covered in none other than the Biography of Xenon, its impact has manifested in reality as well.
People who had kept their birth secrets hidden have emerged in large numbers. The situation reminds one of the half-blood incident in Alfheim.
Nobles make up about 0.01%~0.3% of the total population. This may seem small, but remember that the human population alone exceeds several hundred million.
[Nobles who deny their children to the end, and people who want to confirm at temples. What is the truth?]
[This applies not just to nobles but to commoners as well. Desire is equal regardless of age or gender.]
[Unlike human countries, Alfheim and Helium remain quiet… Animus and Makina too.]
Elves naturally have a plain temperament with less sexual desire than humans, and demons, as we know, have very strong patience.
Dwarves are the same. They’re a strange race that would rather touch steel than engage in sexual relations.
As for beastkin… let’s skip that. They’re a race with animal instincts and culturally distant from the concept of illegitimate children.
Thus, the issue of illegitimate children began to be addressed mainly in human countries. Let’s call it the “Illegitimate Children MeToo,” borrowing the name of a famous incident from my previous life.
In reality, the illegitimate children issue was already widespread, but the Biography of Xenon poured oil on it, causing it to flare up… but not too much.
As with the MeToo movement in my previous life, innocent people began to appear one by one as time passed.
People using the Biography of Xenon as backing to exploit others emerged, and as more people were wrongfully implicated, the meaning gradually faded.
Fortunately, one could visit temples to discern the truth, but the psychological damage suffered in the meantime cannot be undone.
Illegitimate children are clearly a social issue that needs to be resolved, but those who try to exploit it are no better.
[A case that fully reveals human meanness and deceitfulness.]
[If we didn’t have gods, how would we have discerned the truth?]
[If you can be confident before the gods, reveal your birth.]
The increase in temple visitors was a bonus. No matter how much mortals plead, gods never lie.
Therefore, this MeToo movement will be remembered as a social movement where only honest people were recognized.
It’s also a suitable incident for studying human ugliness and psychology. Many scholars are already expected to publish papers on it.
As the storm that swept through the world gradually subsided and calm approached, I was contemplating a scene in the mansion…
“For Jin, Lilly is more than a savior. So how about treating her with the mindset of serving a savior?”
“That’s good. Plus, Jin has acquired demonization, so he’s stronger now. So he should handle her like fragile glasswork.”
“Would anticipation be greater than tension? I was tense.”
“I was anticipating. I should consider that too.”
I was silently taking notes while listening to Cecilly and Adelia’s opinions. Their views matched so well that my hand was busy writing.
What happened was that I had Gartz bring Cecilly to ask for opinions on a love scene. Not just her, but Marie from the academy is here too.
I originally planned to write as I felt, but thinking again, psychological description was important, so I called them.
While I understand men’s hearts well, I don’t know women’s hearts as well. Even though sex is said to leave only animal instincts, psychological description is still necessary.
‘I didn’t expect their opinions to match so well.’
Adelia focused on Jin’s unfortunate childhood, while Cecilly focused on Jin being a persecuted demon, and they were building opinions one by one.
Thanks to them, I could write the scene between Jin and Lilly without difficulty. But the biggest problem arose: the “volume.”
“It’s much longer than the protagonists’ scene?”
Marie, who had been watching quietly, spoke with an incredulous expression. As everyone knows, Xenon and Mary’s scene was based on Marie’s opinion.
However, our first night was somewhat intense, so I toned it down a bit. There were too many explicit parts to write directly.
Marie strongly agreed with this. She seemed embarrassed when actually trying to include it and asked me first. But the real problem occurred with Jin and Lilly.
The volume is too much. Writing each detail made it much longer than initially planned.
It’s a bit insufficient for a full volume, but too much to attach. This problem arose from adding detailed psychology as additional elements.
“Since it’s come to this, why not add more of Xenon and Mary and attach them together?”
Cecilly, who caused the problem, suggested with an awkward smile. Adelia next to her also smiled awkwardly but seemed to agree.
Marie glanced at them with a hollow laugh before shifting her gaze to me, the final decision maker.
“What are you going to do, Issac?”
“Well…”
I looked at the pile of manuscript paper that had accumulated and pondered. It was a struggle to suppress the desire that arose while writing it.
Some might ask why put so much effort into writing such a scene, but there are no adult novels in this world. I’ve mentioned this before.
Although it will be sold as adult content, children and adolescents who are curious about sex might see it. I have to think deeply to prepare for that.
Just describe it as “they made deep love” and move on? Would readers who have been waiting so eagerly for this scene really accept that?
Absolutely not. Moreover, this is the most important part of the relationship between characters, so it can’t be easily skipped.
“I can manage the volume, but… then I’d need to add psychological descriptions for Xenon and Mary too. But Mary is an elf, right? Although war might make them forget formalities, I don’t know anything about elven sex life…”
“Hmm… that’s true.”
Another problem was Mary’s (elf) psychology. Jin is fine with Cecilly’s advice, but I don’t know an elf’s mind.
Moreover, elves have a plain temperament and regard sexual relations as a kind of “ritual.” This is also why elves have a very low birth rate.
I can’t ask acquaintances either. Elena and Cindy are colleagues, but not close enough to ask such things.
‘Arwen is…’
Arwen might be an option, but I’m embarrassed to ask. Of course, I know she has romantic feelings for me.
But regardless, I can’t suddenly ask, “What do you think your first night would be like?”
Even though it’s for reference in the Biography of Xenon, it might make things awkward between us.
“Just ask her.”
“Huh? What?”
“Ask Queen Arwen. You’ll be with her soon anyway, so what’s the problem.”
“…”
Our Marie doesn’t seem to mind. Either she’s half given up or accepted it, she doesn’t care who I end up with anymore.
When I looked at her with a dumbfounded expression, she shrugged and joked.
“Why are you making that face? It’s too late for jealousy now. So don’t worry about me and ask her straight out. I’m curious too.”
“…Are you serious?”
“I am serious. I’ll do anything to help you.”
Judging by her expression, she seems sincere. I stared into Marie’s blue eyes before looking elsewhere.
Others seemed to agree with Marie’s opinion, nodding or responding with silence.
For a moment, I almost said we should ask for Arwen’s opinion too, but she would surely agree.
“…So I’m really calling her?”
I took out a summoning paper from my desk drawer while checking their reactions. The summoning paper is, of course, for Cyris.
After receiving affirmative answers once more, I hesitated a few times before tearing the summoning paper. It’s been a while since I called Cyris, will she respond?
Shortly after…
“W-w-what did you say? F-first night? Suddenly?”
Arwen asked with her silver-gray eyes wide open.
Her face was completely flushed, and her long elf ears were twitching up and down aimlessly.
‘…Cute.’
That appearance was truly adorable.
