Chapter Index

Though I managed to extract resources quite effectively from our friends in the Walpurgis Alliance consisting of 53 clans.

In this case, strictly speaking, victory over the enemy wasn’t solely due to my efforts.

Among the neutral users who attacked this time, those who provided proper dealing or support would certainly take a portion.

Of course, since I primarily fought using my fortress and fleet, I would account for at least 50% of the contribution…

But with the possibility of losing anywhere from 10% to nearly 50% of the resources.

I decided to check exactly how much I had actually gained.

    “Drum roll, drum roll…”

    “What are you doing?”

“Checking roughly how many actual resources I got from this battle.”

    “Ah, that makes sense.”

And the moment I revealed the cards.

    —————————————-

<The resources obtained as a result of the surrender of 53 clans including the ‘Isekai’ clan are as follows:>

    <Minerals: 15,900,000, Rare Resources: 1,590,000>

<After calculating the contribution ratio between you and other commanders…>

<As your contribution has been calculated at 49.5%, the corresponding resources will be awarded to you.>

<Any resource shortfall will be compensated with gold.>

    ˪<Final: Minerals 7,120,500, Rare Resources 637,050>

    ˪<Gold 23,000>

    —————————————-

    ‘Ah, it’s not quite 50%.’

Perhaps it’s because too many users rushed in at the end.

Seeing others taking slightly more than I expected made me feel rather strange.

But that feeling didn’t last long.

‘Wait a minute, I received over 7 million minerals and more than 600,000 rare resources.’

This was enough to at least cover what I had spent on minerals during the battle, so I could express a reasonable level of satisfaction.

Of course, the rare resources were less than expected…

But instead, I received ‘gold’ to compensate for the shortfall in what I should have received from both resources.

All things considered, I thought I’d done fairly well.

However, even after receiving these resources, I still had many problems to solve.

Most of my transport destroyers had been annihilated, and 5 resource mining ships had turned to space dust.

“Commander, regarding the current resource fleet’s mining efficiency…”

    “Hmm, go on.”

“Compared to before the battle, it’s currently only about two-thirds of what it was.”

    “Sssssigh.”

As Jessica reported, our base’s resource gathering efficiency had significantly decreased.

Moreover, this wasn’t solely an issue with the resource fleet.

“The forward bases… they’re all destroyed?”

“Yes, the Walpurgis Alliance destroyed all forward bases located outside our main base during their encirclement.”

    “…I see.”

“And actually, saying it’s reduced to two-thirds is generous. In reality, all 25 resource mining ships are currently busy repairing our vessels.”

    “Ah.”

    I had forgotten about that.

Given the current situation, my resource mining ships weren’t out gathering resources but were instead repairing my shattered fleet and other severely damaged ships.

“Is the shipyard still prioritizing supplying Avalonia’s ships?”

“Yes, that’s what’s happening for now.”

Realizing the situation, I searched my memory before speaking.

“So… are we currently only getting resources from the base and fortress’s resource synthesis production complex?”

“There are daily quests too, but… yes, basically.”

“Then roughly how much are we getting? About 80,000 minerals per day?”

“Let me check… yes, about 80,000 minerals and 23,000 rare resources daily. For reference, our consumption is about 15,000 minerals and 5,000 to 6,000 rare resources.”

Hearing Jessica’s prompt and precise answer, I nodded.

I decided that until the emergency repairs on the fleet were completed, instead of sending them wandering around needlessly, I would rely solely on the base’s own resource supply and have the resource mining ships focus ‘exclusively’ on repairs.

    ==========

    Meanwhile, at the same time.

While our Icarus was boldly executing a worker rush(?) and focusing on fleet repairs.

An untimely witch hunt was taking place in the gallery.

To be precise, it wasn’t so much a witch hunt as a fun and exciting ‘killing time’ session.

They dodge pretty well, and some even managed to break through when encirclement formed

-[Wow these bastards are really good at running]

-[What clan is this getting beaten so badly?]

    -˪[You don’t know about this?]

    To summarize:

    1. About 50 clans gathered to kill Icarus (ranked 3rd) and take his territory

    2. But these 50… actually 53 clans that attacked turned out to be essentially a single unified clan

    3. So angry users and rankers all rushed in together to teach them a lesson

    4. And now after beating them up and receiving some resources as war compensation

    5. The problematic users from the 53-clan Walpurgis Alliance are running away, but

    6. As punishment for secretly creating a clan of over 500 members in the central zone (where even 10+ member clans are rare) and using it to gang up on solo rankers, they’re being hunted down

It seems central zone users have found a toy they can beat up without worry

Everyone’s joining in, making most of the clan effectively useless now

    That’s about it?

    Comments:

    -[Information posts deserve upvotes]

-[I heard some of their bases were destroyed too]

-˪[Not just some, most of them]

    -˪[Really?]

    -˪[Yeah, that’s why it’s called ‘fleeing’]

-[But where the hell are these guys running to?]

-˪[Looking at their direction, they seem to be heading out of the central zone toward the Pirate Alliance or Earth Federation]

    -˪[Hmm interesting…]

    —————————————–

Their ambition to conquer the world with just 500 people was admirable.

Unfortunately, they weren’t Yu Guan Zhang, and 500 people was far from enough.

Except for some users who quickly assessed the situation, abandoned their clans, and ran off as lone wolves…

The bases of the Walpurgis Alliance members who had gathered to conquer Avalon were completely destroyed.

The remaining alliance members, having lost their bases, formed a kind of ‘refugee fleet’ with their limited ships and continued their aimless flight.

The problem was that due to their past misdeeds, most users in the central zone were hostile toward them.

Additionally, random mobs like independent space pirates and wild space monsters kept interfering.

The Walpurgis Alliance, now renamed the ‘Walpurgis Migration Fleet,’ was struggling desperately to survive.

Of course, at this rate, no matter what they did, they would have ended up like many other users.

Leaving no name behind, forever wandering the universe…

But they had strange determination, and having survived the endless raids and hardships following their defeat in the Avalon battle.

“Pain that doesn’t destroy us makes us stronger!”

    “???”

With these words, they sent most of their regular ships toward the Pirate Alliance as a diversion.

Meanwhile, their commanders, superhumans, and various important systems loaded on gacha ships successfully escaped to the Earth Federation at top speed.

Although they lost nearly half their members and many gacha ships and superhumans in the process…

Their perseverance and effort were recognized, and they successfully settled in Earth Federation territory, becoming incorporated under Humanity.
