Ch.3030. Recycling
by fnovelpia
A grand announcement was made, with the face veiled, that the Father God’s hand had once again reached this land.
Thanks to the item’s existence, I avoided having my face exposed, and if I could just minimize unnecessary exposure from now on.
‘My gaming life.’
I could return to those happy days of long ago when I cared for the church and believers from the comfort of my room.
When going outside, it must absolutely take the form of ‘play.’
Saving people is fun.
Punishing evil is fun.
Welcoming new believers is pure fun.
‘That’s it.’
I reaffirmed my direction in my heart while proudly watching the knights who were still cheering.
Then, one of the kingdom’s knights who had been offering praise suddenly hesitated.
“Th-that…”
“…Huh?”
A stern expression appearing at such an unexpected moment.
It seemed to express plainly that the situation wasn’t over yet.
‘It survived that attack?’
I turned my head slightly to find the source of the problem.
Even after taking an attack that had annihilated Eldritch, the commander of the army, something was still maintaining its existence.
Only a constellation can withstand a constellation’s attack.
Which means—
‘Divine manifestation?’
I didn’t need to go looking; it seemed to have come directly to make itself easy to find.
With an excited heart about meeting a new friend, I turned my gaze.
However.
-Hissss…
What I discovered were forms emanating holy energy, slowly rising among the undead army that had turned to ash.
“…Undead?”
I heard someone mutter in disbelief.
‘No.’
I naturally denied it.
Those weren’t mere undead.
Though similar in form, the fundamental nature of what composed their bodies was different.
“Holy spirits.”
One of those twisted settings the game company had nerfed.
When you smite undead creatures with divine power, there’s a certain probability they’ll be reborn imbued with holy properties.
And thus was born:
“Undead ‘Durahhan’ evolves into ‘Executor of Radiance’!”
The headless knight now had a new head blazing with divine power, rather than a grudge seeking its lost head.
“Undead ‘Banshee’ evolves into ‘Celestial Preluder’!”
The banshee that once sang curses toward the world now gained a loving voice to protect and heal innocent people.
‘Is this for real?’
And that wasn’t all.
The undead army had numbered in the hundreds of thousands.
Even with an extremely low probability, the sheer numbers made it meaningful.
A total of 50 undead were reborn through the aftermath of my divine power.
‘Useless though.’
At least they look much cleaner and holier than before, so visually they’re not bad.
But still, I have nowhere to use them.
“You have purified part of the undead army, reborn as your new believers!”
“Some constellations show reverence for your actions!”
“You have acquired a reward.”
‘Hmm…’
Well, I’ll accept it since they’re giving it to me. Maybe I should send them along with Belladis when she returns home.
Just thinking about how to handle them makes things quite complicated.
“The Absolute One has purified the wicked undead!!”
“Woooah!!! To purify high-ranking undead, as expected of the Father God…!”
Still, the crowd was jumping with joy even at that, so I decided to take it as a good thing.
“Incarnation of the Black Sun: Y-yeah, I’m glad we didn’t antagonize him. I was right…”
“Child of the Lost Star: The very assumption of defying the Absolute One was foolish to begin with. Have you forgotten his achievements?”
“Incarnation of the Black Sun: You ugly stardust lump…!”
The Star Child suddenly starts praising me, and Black Sun gets irritated by his words.
Leaving their bickering aside, my interest was focused on the reward tab.
Last time it was a believer token, so I hope it’s another believer token this time.
Since I already have all the equipment and ability modifiers.
I’ll check this when I have some privacy.
‘Gather.’
I commanded the created holy spirits to assemble behind me.
-Clank. Clank.
In time with the majestic sound of metal armor, the holy spirits that had been scattered around gathered uniformly behind me.
Though each was different, they certainly looked impressive when gathered together.
‘Visually pleasing.’
This would be good enough to place as decoration in my sanctuary.
“Child of the Lost Star: They were born from fairly high-ranking undead. Is there no way to utilize them separately?”
‘Why bother?’
Either way, I’ll have to gather them up eventually, but there’s no reason to employ them over the forces I’ve raised myself.
“Child of the Lost Star: They are holy spirits, entities based on high-ranking undead. Surely somewhere—”
“Somewhere.”
“Child of the Lost Star: ….?”
“I just had a good idea.”
It’s not something to discuss now, but I just thought of a good way to dispose of them.
“As expected of a master of disposal. You give good inspiration.”
After briefly thanking the Star Child who had gifted me the holy sword package, I gave orders to the holy spirits, remnants of the undead, gathered behind me.
“Kneel.”
At once, the majestic forces lowered their bodies.
The sight of these dangerous beings that until moments ago exuded the energy of death, now transformed into a holy order of knights following commands.
It left a deep impression on the knights watching this scene.
“The Absolute One has summoned holy incarnations…!”
The knights of the Regalium Kingdom worshipped me with enthusiasm at every performance.
Enjoying this to the end, I decided it was time to leave.
‘Hit and run at the right moment.’
Though what I considered a moderate hit seemed to be a critical blow to the undead side. But who cares.
The fact is that I successfully broke through the hero’s bloodline.
‘I’ll leave the cleanup to Edmund.’
Fortunately, I have good connections for backup.
A reliable acquaintance who occupies the highest position in this kingdom and has pledged loyalty to me several times.
Thinking of Edmund with his thinning hair and gentle smile, I headed back.
#
“Oh, oh my…!”
Edmund Karsein was currently witnessing the scene of the holy war with his daughter.
The emergence of the hero, the holy sword, and now this.
The Father God revealing himself directly and taking the lead for everyone.
“Father God…!”
“My Lord…!”
Both father and daughter were completely captivated by the Absolute One’s presence, unable to break free.
Perhaps this was a natural reaction.
The Absolute One, that Absolute One, revealing himself for the first time in his kingdom, Regalium!
Edmund was absolutely certain that the weight of this significance could never be matched by any other country, no matter how hard they tried.
When he lifted the child with the hero’s talent and introduced her to everyone, Edmund unconsciously shed a tear.
It was like experiencing a scene from mythology.
“Sniff…!”
Looking to the side, he saw his daughter showing the same reaction.
She elegantly wiped her welling tears with her index finger, then put her hands together to offer fervent prayers to Him.
“Not only did you not abandon us, but you even bestowed your blessing directly!”
“Doubt is blasphemy…”
The word “doubt” no longer existed in Edmund’s mind.
He had shown forgiveness and endless love, even demonstrating the blessing of the “Holy Sword” right here and now.
Edmund pledged once again to devote his remaining life to worshipping Him with all his might.
“Knight Commander!”
“Yes!”
After composing himself briefly, Edmund immediately called for the loyal knight of the royal family and ordered him to head to the scene right away.
“You must absolutely not bother the Father God.”
“I understand.”
Knight Commander Baltar bowed deeply and followed Edmund’s earnest order.
Following that—
The Knight Commander’s direct forces arrived at the barrier where the undead invasion had begun and started to sort out the situation.
Pushing back the knights who were still caught up in the fan meeting aftermath, they immediately sought out the holy man who had concealed his identity with a veil at the center of the incident.
“We will escort you.”
As Baltar stepped forward and bowed his head, Ron nodded while still holding the little hero’s hand.
“Let’s go.”
Create an incident, then leave the responsibility to someone else.
‘I solved it for them.’
Ron decided to leave the trivial(?) task of cleaning up to the professional workers.
More importantly, he would enjoy responsibility-free pleasure—no, happiness—just as he had initially wanted.
But first.
‘You all go back in for now.’
Ron temporarily dismissed the holy spirits he had unintentionally created.
-Hissss…
As they obediently lost their forms at their caster’s command, like summons in a game, Ron remembered the good use he had thought of for them.
‘I’ll do that later in front of the king.’
On the way back to the palace under the knights’ escort.
At Ron’s request to keep his identity, especially his face, hidden, he took a moment to catch his breath in a specially prepared carriage.
“Well then…”
Ron’s gaze turned to the two women sitting awkwardly in the carriage.
“Heh, hehe~”
The hero, still in a good mood, was sticking close to Ron’s side, grinning—
“Father God.”
“…”
Lisia, too overcome with emotion to speak, and the Sword Saintess with an awkward atmosphere flowing between them.
It seemed it was time for introductions that hadn’t been possible until now.
