Ch.29EP 1 Fenrir
by fnovelpia
“Charlotte!”
Aurel and Hwang-gu rushed toward me as soon as they came down.
They approached carefully, examining my wounds with gentle movements.
Although we hadn’t spent much time together, I was somewhat touched by the fact that there were people who cared for me like this.
“I’m fine.”
I waved my hand dismissively.
It really wasn’t a big deal.
My reduced health was rapidly recovering, and the visible wounds were returning to normal through regeneration.
The same went for my torn clothes.
By manipulating shadows to repair them, I was able to restore them to their original state.
The problem was the internal collapse of the sewer.
The road had collapsed due to bombs set by humans, blocking our path forward.
Of course, that wasn’t the only issue.
We had triggered a trap that caused an explosion. This meant that humans, even those far away, might have heard the sound.
Perhaps they would come rushing here.
These were people who had set traps for their exclusive use.
They wouldn’t leave us alone, knowing we were aware of the shop’s existence.
I threw away the wooden board I had been holding.
Though Hwang-gu had gone to the trouble of finding it, it had been charred black and damaged from the explosion’s impact.
“We need to clear a path. As quickly as possible.”
“Clear a path? Through that?”
Aurel asked me, questioning.
I nodded as I looked at her cute face.
And so began our path-clearing operation.
Aurel started moving her tiny hands diligently, clearing away the debris from the collapsed road.
Hwang-gu also partially transformed into a werewolf, changing his hands into wolf paws to dig through the rubble.
I watched from behind and summoned my subordinates.
Swoosh-
With a light gesture, shadows spread out.
From within, four girls emerged, except for Yeppi.
“You know what to do without me saying it, right?”
These children were connected to me. They would know my intentions without me having to explain.
Vermouthss nodded and began to move with her friends.
As these beings who transcended humanity started clearing the path, the collapsed debris was quickly removed.
Of course, I joined in the work as well.
After some time, we were able to reach an intact space untouched by the explosion’s impact.
We didn’t need to clear everything.
It was enough to create a passage just wide enough for small-bodied people like us to pass through.
I called my subordinates back into my shadow.
Without any resistance, they melted into my shadow.
It was slightly grotesque, as if their very existence was dissolving.
“Yeppi.”
“Yeah…”
I called Yeppi to take the lead.
She was the one who had guided us here.
She would know the exact location of the shop.
Before setting out to find the shop, I pulled out a large iron bar embedded in the road debris.
We needed something to use as a bridge to cross the water stream running through the middle of the sewer.
“Ugh…”
Yeppi, who had been moving forward well, suddenly stopped in her tracks.
Her face turned pale blue, her eyes trembling.
She clearly had a terrified expression.
It was obvious what Yeppi was afraid of.
There was only one thing a vampire would dislike in this place.
Water.
Though it was a city where human traces had disappeared, water still pooled in the sewers below.
“Vampires are so inconvenient… How do you shower?”
“We don’t.”
“You don’t shower…?”
“We don’t sweat.”
I answered Yeppi’s comment while placing the iron bar across the water as a bridge.
Relieved, Yeppi crossed over it.
Aurel, Hwang-gu, and I followed behind.
Vampires don’t produce secretions like humans do.
Therefore, they don’t smell even without showering.
Rather, they emit a very fragrant scent to lure prey.
If necessary, they could wipe their bodies with something like wet wipes, but no vampire would willingly immerse themselves in flowing water.
“This is crazy…”
Yeppi shook her head with a pale face.
She seemed somewhat accustomed to being a vampire, but she hadn’t yet lost her memories from her human days.
As we quickly walked through the sewer, the atmosphere suddenly changed.
A faint light flickered in the darkness, and the stale air that had smelled of rot became slightly fresher.
Looking up ahead, I could see a large door at the end of the sewer, at a dead end.
Having experienced this before, I knew what it meant.
An NPC-run shop.
“It’s there.”
Was there any need to hesitate?
I ran toward the shop with the others.
Tap-tap-tap-!
Leaving the sound of small footsteps behind, we arrived at the shop entrance.
I reached out and pulled the door open.
Thud-!
As the shop door opened, our gazes met simultaneously.
Blue eyes trembled intensely as they stared at me.
“What the…?”
The dazed voice that emerged wasn’t from any of our children.
Nor was it mine.
The voice belonged to a human woman with long blonde hair.
She looked at me as if something that shouldn’t be here was present.
In that moment, the human woman and I both instinctively took fighting stances.
As the shadow at my feet rippled, a black katana extended toward my right hand.
The human woman also pulled out a rifle she had been carrying on her back and aimed it at me.
“Grrrr!”
Hwang-gu reacted belatedly, showing hostility.
Aurel was also preparing to fight in her own way.
But this was a shop.
A place where all acts of aggression were nullified.
It didn’t take long for everyone present to realize this fact.
“I’d appreciate it if you took your fighting outside.”
As soon as we finished preparing to fight, the shop NPC stepped in to stop the confrontation.
“Damn…”
Why was this human here?
At this distance, she must have heard the bomb explosions outside.
But that wasn’t the important thing right now.
I opened my Mystic Eye to examine her information.
Whoosh-
As one side of the world was tinged with blue light, detailed information about the human woman appeared.
[MoonRabbitVv]
Level: 17
Race: Human
Health 100%
Mana 100%
Emotional state: Confusion, Shock, Fear, Excitement
The moment I confirmed MoonRabbit’s information, she began to move.
A leg stepped forward boldly.
Her upper body slightly hunched.
She was clearly trying to run toward the front.
Her gaze was directed at the door we had entered through.
The moment I realized this, I shouted loudly and moved.
“Block the door!”
Tap-tap-tap-!
The moment my order ended, the children moved in perfect unison.
MoonRabbit also began running toward the door with an urgent expression.
“Hyaaaah!”
“Hiyaaaah!”
We couldn’t let her escape.
We absolutely couldn’t let this human woman leave the shop.
I pulled my subordinates out from the shadows and shouted.
“Catch that human!”
“Hiyoaah!”
“Hayaaah!”
A total of eight people clung to the human woman called MoonRabbit.
While attacks weren’t possible, actions like grabbing someone’s body were allowed.
“Nnngh…!”
MoonRabbit couldn’t attack either.
She tried to reach out to remove us but withdrew her hand as if something was blocking her.
Then she tried to move toward the door with us still attached to her body.
But she couldn’t overcome the strength of seven vampires and one werewolf.
“Ugh…”
Thud.
MoonRabbit fell over.
I didn’t miss the opportunity and climbed on top of her.
My subordinates and the children moved quickly to grab her arms and legs.
“W-what do we do now?”
“Hmm…”
I closed my mouth at Aurel’s question.
I hadn’t really grabbed her with any specific purpose.
I had just acted instinctively because this user called MoonRabbit was trying to escape.
“P-please spare me…”
After trying to wiggle her arms and legs, MoonRabbit seemed to realize that all resistance was futile and began begging for her life.
I started rummaging through her body.
Coming to this shop meant she was here to buy or sell items.
She must have credits or items somewhere.
Deciding whether to spare her would come after that.
“Eek…!”
MoonRabbit flinched every time my hand touched her skin.
“Ah!”
When I lifted up MoonRabbit’s shirt, I discovered a black underarmor beneath.
It was clearly the short-sleeved armor I had seen in the game.
At that moment, item information was transmitted through my activated Mystic Eye.
[Black Underarmor]
Level requirement: 5
Defense +5
It was a basic piece of armor commonly available for purchase in shops.
It had the function of automatically adjusting to fit the wearer’s body size.
“This! This is it!”
Finally discovering the armor I had been looking for, I became greatly excited and started undressing MoonRabbit.
She tried to resist, but with all her limbs restrained, she couldn’t escape my hands.
“Take it off!”
“Hiyaaah!”
I tore off her leather jacket, then ripped the shirt underneath.
All that remained was the black underarmor clinging tightly to her skin.
I slipped my fingers underneath it.
“Eek…!”
MoonRabbit’s body trembled at that moment.
Had she realized that her resistance was meaningless?
She just looked up at me with tears in her eyes, showing no further movement.
“Yap!”
With a short exclamation, I pulled my hand upward, and the underarmor came off with a swoosh.
This revealed MoonRabbit’s snow-white skin, but my gaze remained fixed on the underarmor.
Once you obtain equipment, there’s only one thing to do.
Wear it.
I turned my clothes into shadows.
This revealed my soft, white naked body.
“Gasp…”
“Gasp…!”
“Huh…!”
Aurel, Hwang-gu, and even the other children started gasping as they saw my body.
I could fully understand their reactions.
It would be quite shocking if one of your companions suddenly undressed.
But there was no other way to wear this equipment item.
Since it was an underwear-type item, this was how it had to be worn.
I put on the underarmor that still retained some warmth.
The underarmor, which had seemed slightly large for me, reduced its size the moment I put it on, fitting my body perfectly.
I was satisfied with the very thin design that revealed all the curves of my body.
I nodded as I pressed my soft belly once.
The fit was quite good.
