Ch.297Tannhäuser Attack Operation Preparation (2)

“My heart is pounding.”
“Honestly, mine too.”
Who would have thought that while I was racking my brain over the damn Tannhäuser assault problem, I’d receive such a timely gift from the monster faction.
‘Damn! Such a precious reward for me!!’
Of course, such excitement should probably wait until I’ve assessed the condition of the delivered product…

<Comprehensive Resource Supply Bio-Container>
<A living, ultra-large cargo transport container used by Space Monsters for transporting large quantities of resources.>
<Despite its appearance, it will immediately devour and convert into “cargo” anyone who touches it other than Space Monsters or authorized personnel.>
<Internal Cargo List>

<Rare Resources 200,000>
<Gold 10,000>

‘Kiaaaa! No, Queen Nimu’s deep grace, like Queen Alien, I’m choked up by that burning love.’
Unlike that worthless gacha that destroys even resource boxes and shows perfect failure.
Looking at the contents of this container, which provides at least 10 times, maximum 20 times more resources than opening all those resource boxes combined.
I found myself feeling incredibly fond of this bizarre bio-container that looked like some fusion between a furry whale that hadn’t been circumcised and a tardigrade.
And separately from that, this sturdy “mobile pupa”—
Watching this so-called space pupa pulsate and throb, I was feeling rather peculiar emotions in various ways.
“Commander, I didn’t expect to see that thing again in less than a year.”
“I feel the same way, Jessica.”
“If we’re lucky, you might end up with two Krakens, Commander!”
“…I don’t think that’s possible, no matter what.”
Meanwhile, when Jessica made such an excited comment, I immediately retorted with a shake of my head.
“No matter what, the one-in-a-million chance won’t happen again.”
“That makes your hundred failed dimensional causality fixations just now even sadder, doesn’t it?”
“…”
Suddenly taking a free hit to the solar plexus made my heart ache terribly.
But I wasn’t wrong, was I?
Of course, honestly, I really would love to get a Kraken or some assault ships or whatever.
But realistically, since there was no way those would appear, I was simply expressing satisfaction at getting two cruisers for “free.”
However, as I was thinking this, Jessica suddenly opened her mouth, saying she had realized something new.
“Ah, wait a moment.”
“Is there a problem?”
“Commander, you recently started building a battle cruiser and a large carrier, so you don’t have any fleet points to spare, right?”
“Hmm… that’s true.”
“Then doesn’t that mean you can’t use any ships that come out of there, regardless of what they are?”
“Ah, so that was your question.”
Since it was indeed a reasonable question, I nodded while calmly explaining that it wouldn’t be a problem.
“It’s fine, it’s fine.”
“Pardon?”
“You know, we have three combat destroyers left, right?”
“Ah yes, but why?”
“I’ll dismantle one of them at the shipyard today while completing the daily quest.”
“Understood, but what’s the significance of that?”
Seeing Jessica nodding in agreement yet still looking puzzled at my words.
Instead of tiring my mouth with another lengthy explanation…
“Come forth, almighty Wiki tab!”
“…???”
As always, I decided to show Jessica the relevant information by opening the Community-Gallery-Wiki tab in sequence.
Of course, as soon as I opened the community, I had to spend some time dealing with the pile of reports about disgusting image terrorism posts and slanderous writings about the ongoing North-South War, Xenovia Empire version.
…Anyway, only after handling all those things could I properly show Jessica what I wanted to show her, which was:

Title: Q. I’m short on fleet points but about to receive a new ship, what do I do?
Author: Wiki Officer mk-43

A. Depends on what it is
For example, if you’re building a ship at the “shipyard” and run out of fleet points, the ship in the shipyard will just stop at 99% construction
It won’t come out of that shipyard dock no matter what you do unless you cancel the ship
But if you’re not building at the shipyard and instead receiving a ship from gacha or another faction?
Then the story changes, as in that case, you can receive it even if it exceeds your fleet points
But you must have at least 2 fleet points available
So not 99/100, but rather 97/100 to be able to receive something that exceeds your fleet point limit
And importantly, once you’ve received something that exceeds the limit?
You can’t receive a second one after the limit is exceeded
Oh, and by the way, receiving multiple ships “simultaneously” seems to be processed as a single instance by the system
Comments:
-[Oh]
-[So you’re saying if I’m at 997/1000, I can receive a ship worth 1000 fleet points?]
-˪[Theoretically possible, assuming such a ship exists](Author)
-[But why must at least 2 points be available? Wouldn’t 1 be enough?]
-˪[Too many people were pre-building patrol ships, then dismantling them to perfectly time getting dreadnoughts](Author)
-˪[Ah, that thing lolololol]
-[Two rows of helpful info]
-[Are ships received from factions different from faction delegation ships?]
-˪[Yeah, these are separate from those, given like gacha through events]
-˪[As the comment above says, they’re given separately through events or trust rewards, so keep building trust](Author)

“Ta-da!”
“Ah… so that’s why.”
Whether it’s a system loophole or some kind of consideration for users, I don’t know.
But according to the game system, if you have at least 2 fleet points available, you can exceed the point limit once to obtain something.
“That’s why I’m gratefully accepting what Princess Luca gave us.”
“I see…”
Having discovered the source of my confidence, Jessica nodded her head while her large rabbit ears kept twitching excitedly.
==========
Anyway, after that conversation.
Since it seemed like it would take some time for that Behemoth-class space pupa to complete its growth.
My base and fleet were leisurely gathering resources.
And also leveling up by hunting respawning mobs that regenerate on their own.
By the way, the small space pupa… that is, the bio-container, was currently docked at the fortress’s internal mooring facility.
After all, if I were to open it, I’d probably use it to cover the hiring costs when conquering the “Tannhäuser Gate Fortress” later.
In the current situation where there was no immediate need for large amounts of resources, I didn’t feel the necessity to open it right away.
Of course, maybe because it’s a living organism after all.
“Icarus, are you planning to just leave the bio-container as is?”
“Is there some problem?”
“Since it’s alive, will it start eating nearby ships or something?”
“No, not that, but if you leave it alone, it might digest the ‘cargo’ inside.”
“Ah.”
With Oxianor’s warning that if left alone, it could consume the resources loaded as “cargo.”
Thanks to that, we decided to throw captured pirate ships or wild monsters as food once a day.
-“Kieeeeek!”
“Um, since you already have that thing, maybe you could just l-leave our pirate ship alone…”
“Oh, so you’re volunteering to be eaten instead of the ship?”
“Come to think of it, this seems like a necessary method for the space pupa’s iron intake.”
Of course, we didn’t bother asking the opinions of the wild monsters selected as food, or the pirates who suddenly found their ships being devoured.
