Ch.28EP 1 Fenrir

    “Everyone, attention… except for Cheon-hwi.”

At my command, the children immediately stood up from their seats.

Except for Cheon-hwi, all the girls maintained an attention stance with greatly bewildered expressions.

I watched them with my arms crossed.

    “W-what is this all about…”

    They must all be confused.

Suddenly transformed and now unable to refuse my commands, they found themselves in quite a situation.

    “Sit down.”

    “Yes!”

    “Heek!”

    “Hwah!”

    “Hah!”

The children squatted down on the floor as soon as my command was given.

Their pale thighs were slightly pressed, bulging out softly.

    “Stand up again.”

The children began to move in perfect unison following my command.

After repeating several meaningless commands like this, the children began to roughly understand the situation they were in.

    I gave them a warning.

“Listen carefully, you are absolutely forbidden from revealing who you were or what you looked like before becoming like this. Understand?”

The children nodded at my words.

Of course, this was directed at Cheon-hwi as well.

When I turned my gaze to him, Cheon-hwi nodded perceptively.

I smiled with satisfaction at the sight.

At that moment, Aurel, who had been reading the atmosphere, cautiously approached and asked.

    “Charlotte! Who are these children?”

    “They’re my new subordinates.”

“Huh… You can make this many subordinates?”

    I nodded at Aurel’s question.

There wasn’t any particular limit to the number of subordinates in the game either.

Occasionally there were users who went around leading hundreds of cats, so I should be able to operate in a similar fashion.

Of course, in my case, it would be small and cute girls instead of cats.

Aurel smiled brightly and waved at the children.

Now that Aurel’s greeting was over, it was Hwang-gu’s turn.

    Hwang-gu began sniffing the children.

    “Sniff sniff, sniff sniff.”

    From feet to buttocks.

After carefully sniffing the children’s scents, Hwang-gu nodded.

It seemed she quite liked their fragrance.

As I was watching this scene contentedly, VermouthSs, who was standing at the front, frowned and spoke up.

    “What exactly is your purpose?”

    “My purpose?”

“What is your purpose in making us like this…!”

    “Well. You all…”

    “We what?”

    “Made me feel bad.”

    “J-just for something like that…”

I tilted my head with my arms crossed.

I made them my subordinates because they made me feel bad.

    Was that not reason enough?

To be honest, this cute girl appearance is much better than that dark male form.

Vampires can’t see themselves in mirrors, so they can’t confirm their appearance, but…

    “You’re insane…”

    “I’m insane?”

It’s not me who’s insane, but this world.

Isn’t this the world where humans swing swords or shoot guns at strangers without warning?

The fact that I didn’t kill VermouthSs and the children was already being quite lenient.

“If you’re unhappy, say so. I’ll send you back to the shadows right now.”

“W-what do you mean by sending us back to the shadows…”

“It means your current form will disappear.”

Your consciousness would probably disappear too.

I deliberately didn’t mention the latter part.

The children sealed their lips tightly at my answer.

I nodded as I watched them.

Clearly, they all preferred their cute girl appearances.

I looked at Aurel and Hwang-gu with my arms crossed.

Although I was aware that my values were undergoing significant changes over time, I couldn’t identify exactly where these changes were occurring.

I was changing without realizing it, so how could I possibly recognize what had changed?

That’s why I was checking others’ reactions.

    “Aurel.”

    “Yes?”

    “I didn’t say anything strange, did I?”

    “No, you didn’t!”

    “Hwang-gu.”

    “Yes!”

“I didn’t say anything strange, right?”

    “No!”

    That’s a relief then.

I let out a sigh of relief.

    “C-crazy bitches…”

    I frowned at VermouthSs’s words.

Are they so young that they lack manners?

It seemed more education was needed.

    “Eat.”

As soon as my command ended, a shadow beast appeared with its mouth wide open.

The large shadow instantly swallowed the four girls except for Cheon-hwi.

The children disappeared without even a scream.

They would be spinning helplessly inside the shadow.

    “Cheon-hwi.”

    “U-um…”

    “Let’s change your name.”

    “M-my name…?”

    I nodded.

Someone who knows Cheon-hwi might appear.

    I couldn’t keep calling him Cheon-hwi forever.

    “Let’s go with Yeppi.”

    “Yeppi…”

    I nodded.

Since the changed appearance is pretty (yeppeun), Yeppi it is.

And so Cheon-hwi’s name became Yeppi.

As I was smiling with satisfaction at the name I had given, Aurel approached and asked.

“What are you planning to do now?”

“First… we need to find a store.”

I took out a map from inside my clothes.

It was a map drawn by our Cheon-hwi, no, Yeppi.

When I turned my head slightly, Yeppi was still tightly holding a crayon in her hand.

    “Yeppi.”

    “Yes…”

Yeppi approached with quick steps and a gloomy expression at my call.

It seemed she didn’t like her name.

Hwang-gu also looked at Yeppi with pitying eyes, as if she thought the name Yeppi was unfortunate.

“Since you drew this, you can find the way, right?”

    “Yes…”

    “Then guide us.”

    Yeppi nodded at my words.

Finding other vampire clans or groups trying to restore this world to its original state would have to wait.

The most important thing in this situation was purchasing equipment items that could enhance character specs.

Considering the human appearances, it was the obvious choice.

Didn’t they attack werewolves with silver bullets and store-bought weapons?

If I hadn’t been there, that fight would have ended in the humans’ victory.

Following Yeppi, we arrived in front of a large manhole cover.

As if to indicate that people frequently passed through, there was no dirt on the rim of the manhole.

This meant the cover had been opened and closed frequently.

“Should we bring a wooden board again?”

    Aurel asked, looking at me.

I nodded and called for VermouthSs.

    “VermouthSs.”

At my call, a small girl slipped out of the shadows.

Judging by how limp she was, she must have been spinning wildly inside the shadow.

    “Hueek…”

This much should be enough to bring her to her senses, right?

I shook VermouthSs to wake her up.

    “Get up.”

    “Ha, haek…”

But VermouthSs couldn’t quite come to her senses.

    Can’t be helped.

I called Hwang-gu, who was wagging her tail behind me.

    “Hwang-gu.”

    “Yes!”

“Go find a suitable wooden board.”

    “Yes!”

Hwang-gu ran off as soon as my command ended.

I wondered when that one’s memory would return.

Perhaps her memory had already returned, but she was still pretending it hadn’t.

    ***

    “Huff huff…”

Hwang-gu, who had been running on all fours, stood up abruptly when she felt Charlotte’s gaze was no longer on her.

As Charlotte had suspected, Hwang-gu’s memory had already returned.

The exact point was just before secretly leaving the werewolf clan.

Hwang-gu, or Meong-meong Gongju, who had been constantly stimulated through hazy memories, was able to recover all her lost memories right after the battle ended.

But she couldn’t say that her memory had returned.

Meong-meong Gongju remembered everything she had done after losing her memory.

At first, what Meong-meong Gongju felt was intense self-loathing.

But at the same time, she felt a subtle pleasure.

The sense of transgression from doing something she shouldn’t.

Charlotte’s domineering attitude, giving commands as if to a puppy.

The sense of liberation from acting like an innocent puppy, pretending to have lost her memory.

All of these came as pleasure.

That’s why Meong-meong Gongju was still by Charlotte’s side.

A shameful sexual preference she discovered without realizing it.

And Charlotte, who fulfilled all of it.

Meong-meong Gongju chose to be Hwang-gu to feel this pleasure.

    “Hah…!”

    Hwang-gu quickly shook her head.

There was no time to waste here.

Even at this moment, her small and cute master, Charlotte, was waiting.

Hwang-gu moved quickly and pulled out a wide wooden board from inside a building.

Hwang-gu’s mental state, which had deteriorated from living as a werewolf for a long time, began to slowly recover with Charlotte’s help.

    ***

    “Good job!”

    I patted Hwang-gu’s head.

She spun her tail like a propeller in response.

I went ahead and scratched under Hwang-gu’s chin.

It was the kind of chin scratching you’d do for dogs, but Hwang-gu seemed to enjoy it too.

She tilted her head slightly and subtly pushed her chin forward.

“Alright. Shall we go in now?”

I looked at the entrance to the sewer while holding the wooden board.

    Then I lightly jumped inside.

My light body fell quickly and landed safely on the floor.

    Tak-

    Tick- Tididididik-

At that moment, a loud noise was heard.

It sounded like a switch had been turned on.

    An ominous, familiar sound.

Just then, red flames shot up accompanied by a huge boom.

    Bang-! Kwagwagwang!

Just before the bright red flames touched my body.

Shadows naturally rose to protect me, but they couldn’t shield me from all the impact.

My vision shook violently. As if my insides were severely damaged, something rose up in my throat with a surge.

    “Ha…”

After the aftermath of the explosion completely disappeared.

I exhaled the breath I had been holding.

My body was in terrible shape.

The clothes I was wearing were tattered, and 30% of my health had been lost.

If I had sent Aurel or Hwang-gu down first instead of going myself, it would have been a truly terrible situation.

    I was careless.

This was a passage used by humans. It was only natural that traps would be set to prevent others from intruding.

I frowned and called Yeppi, who was above the sewer.

    Seureu-

Yeppi instantly appeared through the shadows.

She looked around with a greatly surprised expression.

    “Yeppi.”

    “Huh, huk…”

“You didn’t know about this, right?”

Yeppi desperately nodded at my question.

I narrowed my eyes and glared, but Yeppi wasn’t lying.

She really didn’t seem to know that a trap had been set at this entrance.

    “That’s fine then.”

Yeppi let out a sigh of relief at my words.

I activated my mystic eye and looked around.

I was checking if there might be other traps.

    “Charlotte!!!”

    “Charlotte!!!”

Squeaky voices came from above the sewer.

    It was Aurel and Hwang-gu.

They must have been quite startled by the loud explosion.

The confirmation through my mystic eye was complete.

    There were no more traps.

I shouted toward the top of the sewer.

    “Everyone come down!”

    The moment my words ended.

Aurel and Hwang-gu fell through that narrow passage.
