While the base upgrade was in full swing.

I decided to come up with my own plan to address this proactively.

Though in the current situation, there wasn’t much I could do.

“Jessica, are there any large unmined resource zones nearby?”

“No, that won’t work.”

Forward bases were meant to “monopolize” resource zones, so I couldn’t build one in an area shared by other users.

Of course, with my level 5 stronghold, I could easily handle 5 or 10 players.

But those 15 players weren’t even from the same clan—there were at least 5 or 6 different clans mixed in.

If I just went in and declared, “From now on, this belongs to Icarus!” and planted a forward base, what kind of karma would come back to me?

…It was obvious how things would play out.

Having witnessed in real-time what catastrophe befell Rotten Water after he thoughtlessly beat up everyone around him, I wanted to avoid accumulating bad karma.

Since there was no suitable place to build a forward base immediately, I decided to look for alternative methods.

“Let’s see… once the level 8 upgrade is complete, we’ll build docking facilities first to increase our resource harvesting ships.”
