Ch.282282. Lust (2)
by fnovelpia
The demon before my eyes was a monstrosity that embodied the words “lustful” and “terrible” more perfectly than any other being.
At first glance, its form resembled that of a beautiful human woman.
Flowing, soft hair like ebony or silk cascaded down, while a pair of goat-like horns grew from the upper parts of her head near the ears.
Her facial beauty was so exquisite it bordered on the surreal, with only her eyes betraying her true nature as they glowed ominously, exuding something akin to a strange sensuality in all directions.
Her assertive figure and swollen breasts were wrapped in negligee-like clothing that seemed doubtful to provide any actual protection.
….The fact that it was nearly transparent material, rendering it practically meaningless as covering, was just an added detail.
Additionally, a seductive aura spread from her gently swaying tail, while her wings—simultaneously cute and repulsive as they fluttered—served as conduits for her crimson magical power.
Her legs stood on the ground in an alluring yet disturbing form, and the movements of her arms, extending from soft shoulders, spread subtle yet decadent traces of temptation.
Though she appeared to be someone no one could resist sexually, to my eyes that could see her true essence through spiritual sight, she was nothing but a repulsive creature.
The demon before me was a beast formed from countless carnal desires.
Wanting to love someone, cherish them, adore them, violate them, make love to them, forcibly take them, steal from them and kill them….
Emotions both simple and complex, appearing beautiful yet endlessly disgusting and nauseating. In a sense, they were the most sophisticated yet simultaneously primal feelings bundled together.
Or more precisely, she was a monster created from the residual dregs after such emotions had flowed and circulated.
A hideous clump of emotions that adorned and illuminated itself with a beautiful exterior and the scent of pleasure, while simultaneously tainting its interior with the malicious, ugly feelings of souls.
Far from arousing lust or sexual desire, I felt only revulsion due to her repulsive and unpleasant presence.
And this upper-level demon, who introduced herself as the Demon Legion Commander, Succubus Queen Drakilia, caused great ripples in the real world with her appearance.
The most significant change was that the petrified Hanrangs who had remained by Drakilia’s side were somehow released from their stone state.
Unintentionally freed by the unique magical power emitted by the upper-level demon, they immediately became captivated by her aura the moment they laid eyes on her form, and began to act wildly.
The moment a being of low spiritual rank captured her image in their sight, all manner of lustful and dark thoughts poured into their minds, filling their brains with pleasure.
Regardless of gender, they collapsed as if slumping to the ground, discharging bodily fluids from every orifice, their faces contorted into ugly and disgusting expressions that evoked discomfort.
Like humans injected with an extremely refined lethal dose of drugs, their bodies and minds were broken by exposure to excessive sexual stimulation.
Their brains lost most of their function as the central nervous system was damaged by excessive hormone secretion and neural overload.
Once experiencing the pleasure accompanying supreme lust, their minds became like those of drug addicts, obsessed with it.
Seeing them clinging to life in such an ugly state, one could viscerally understand why such demons were considered evil that should not exist in this world.
Amidst this chaos, as I shook off the lingering effects of enchantment, I recalled the phrase “Demon Legion Commander” that the creature had just uttered.
The world where demons live, the Demon Realm.
From what I’ve heard, this dimension, which exists overlapping with various worlds, is ruled by transcendental, divine beings called Demon Kings.
Under these Demon Kings are subordinates who are either subjugated by the Demon King’s power or created from their blood, and the highest-ranking subordinate who leads a demon legion composed of such beings is—
A Demon Legion Commander. A high-ranking demon appointed by a Demon King’s subordinate, authorized to independently lead their own demon legion to invade other worlds.
If one were to make a comparison, these Demon Legion Commanders range from slightly above the level of ordinary upper-level demons to, in some cases, nearly reaching the realm of demigods or gods….
But judging by the fact that she has personally descended here, she’s probably just stronger than an average upper-level demon, no matter how generously I assess her.
Of course, even that alone is sufficiently lethal.
To begin with, even a single upper-level demon is a monster capable of easily bringing about calamities that could destroy a city or two.
Especially since their abilities often specialize in civilian massacres or summoning subordinate demons, we’re in a situation where it’s impossible to predict how great a disaster might unfold in the worst case.
‘….Huff. Let’s get ready, guys.’
[[[Yes!]]]
And so, as I was steeling myself and about to unleash my power against them—
[Immortalized mortal who has become a force of nature, listen.]
‘….?’
The Demon Legion Commander Drakilia, whom I thought would attack immediately, addressed me for some reason.
※ ※ ※
Objectively speaking, the reason why this demon calling herself the Succubus Queen is addressing me is essentially predetermined.
What reason would a demon have for speaking to an opponent they’re currently hostile toward?
Obviously, the purpose would be persuasion or an invitation to surrender, and the answer is virtually predetermined as well.
As someone who was already among the privileged elite with everything I could want, I had no reason to accept a demon’s proposal, so there was essentially no reason to accept it.
However, regardless of these circumstances, I definitely needed to assess the current situation.
[….What should we do?]
‘For now, let’s observe the situation.’
So as I silently indicated my intention to listen to what the demon had to say, Demon Legion Commander Drakilia maintained her alluring yet hideous form and began speaking in a sweet yet repulsive voice.
[You, child of nature. Heteromorphic soul commanding your servants. My mother, my father, the great ‘Lust’ has sent me directly. I have been made a messenger to claim you for that great one.]
‘….What?’
However, the content was so shocking that I, who had intended to remain silent, simply couldn’t.
“What… does that mean? Why would ‘Lust’…?”
[You don’t understand, I see. Neither do I.]
A terrifying divine being whose rank alone would overwhelm everything I had experienced in this world combined.
It was like a part of the world itself becoming conscious of me alone, and I experienced indescribable emotions from the faint fear I felt….
[Soul of nature in anguish, your suffering is foolish.]
“….What?”
[The great Lord of ‘Lust,’ and indeed all Demon Kings of equal standing to the great ‘Lust,’ are beyond the realm of understanding. They transcend time and space, simply existing. They are demons yet not demons, closest to what one might call concepts with will.]
“….”
[Can you truly ‘understand’ the wind, the natural environment of this land, the operating principles of the world? Your ignorance is natural. Your fear lies in the realm of inevitability.]
“….So, what are you trying to say?”
[Don’t you want to escape ignorance? Don’t you want to understand what was incomprehensible? Don’t you want to elevate your soul to a higher place, ascend and become a god?]
“….”
[If so, take my hand. That one is beyond cognition and perception. I will liberate you from all your anguish and conflicts.]
A voice like singing. Despite knowing the ugliness that existed beneath it, the way it pierced through and targeted my exact anguish was enough to significantly shake my heart.
“….You certainly talk a lot of nonsense.”
However, it was nearly impossible to change my mind with just this level of wavering.
For all the flowery words, what this creature is proposing is that I follow it and sell myself as a slave to a dimensional-level crime boss.
No matter how great the reward, once I become enslaved, I become the property of that being along with any reward, so there was absolutely no reason for me to accept such a proposal.
Decisively, there was also no guarantee that what it said was true.
[That’s unfortunate. I thought we were connecting.]
“Connecting? Did you really think I’d fall for such a half-hearted persuasion?”
Therefore, while expressing my refusal, I clearly showed my hostility toward them.
[Very well then—die.]
Demon Legion Commander Drakilia, having understood my intention, calmly declared.
