    Ch.26Ep.26 Underworld Messenger

    Thud! Thud! BOOOOOM!!

“What on earth… is happening in there?”

As someone made a sudden move, the world flashed brightly.

Tiaran despaired when she realized it was a sign of a massive explosion.

Ah, so I’m going to die here. Jik really was a traitor.

    But she didn’t die.

Not just her, but all of the 3rd Corps under her command survived as well.

The strategist Arsia and the goblin Brina too.

Far from dying, they didn’t even suffer a single wound.

Surely a normal explosion would have been so powerful that no one could have worried about others.

But explosion? Nothing happened at all.

The only difference was that a very small space had appeared before their eyes.

Arsia briefly explained about Radios’s new skill.

    The Sword of Judgment.

Inside that space, Radios could demonstrate abilities beyond his prime.

That Radios could exert power beyond his prime.

It made her extremely curious about what he had been doing for the past three years.

    But that curiosity was short-lived.

The small space, just large enough for two people, continued to ripple and created an unstable situation.

Even though they couldn’t feel any magical power, everyone here knew that an incredible battle was taking place.

“Trust the captain. The captain… never loses.”

Grabbing Tiaran’s shoulder firmly as she grew anxious,

Arsia gave her a look that said not to lose faith.

Of course, she was worried about Radios too.

Cthuga was strong. Perhaps the strongest among all the enemies they had fought so far.

While Radios also possessed skills considered the strongest in history.

    Anyone would be worried.

Moreover, judging by the faint magical power seeping out,

It made her wonder if this was really something humans could handle.

    “..! Someone’s approaching! Block them!”

Arsia was the first to notice the anomaly.

Following her, Tiaran and Brina also released their magical power to envelop the space created by Radios.

    CRASH!

A woman they had never seen before swept through the center with an expressionless face.

Golden eyes reminiscent of lightning, contrasting with her deep navy blue hair.

Combined with her concave eyes and straight nose bridge, her first impression was sufficiently “mysterious.”

But regardless of first impressions, they remained cautious.

The power emanating from the woman was extraordinary.

After a few seconds of standoff, the woman spoke first.

“Elysse, messenger of the Underworld. I’ve arrived under the orders of the Underworld King to support Radios Magnum. Please step aside.”

“How are we supposed to believe that?”

A person suddenly appears and says they’re an ally so move aside?

    Would anyone actually believe that?

But Elysse, inflexibly and without the slightest change in expression, declared:

“If you don’t believe me, I’ll force my way through.”

Essentially saying: if you have a problem with it, bring it on.

The problem was that this had a severe countereffect.

“I’ll handle this person. You two stay put.”

Brina stepped forward, shaking her shoulders.

There was no need for all three of them to attack, and at this close range, Arsia as a mage was at a disadvantage.

As for Tiaran, they hadn’t known each other long enough to understand her fighting style.

Brina thought she had no choice but to step up herself.

In response, Elysse summoned a navy-blue tinted scythe like a robot.

“Those who interfere with the Underworld King’s orders will not be spared, even if they are Radios’s companions.”

“Fine. I won’t spare you either!!”

    Brina took the first strike.

She lightly stamped the ground and threw a punch aimed at Elysse’s heart.

Elysse seemed not to even detect her attack.

    But that wasn’t the case.

“First strike acknowledged. From now on, the goblin Brina, companion of Radios, is designated as an enemy.”

    SLASH!

Like an AI that only moves within a predetermined system,

Elysse blocked Brina’s attack while simultaneously releasing her magical power.

    BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!

The barracks immediately flew away, and corps commander-level magical powers began to collide throughout the area.

    “Aaaaah! What is that?”

“It’s a battle! Fall back! Those are corps commander-level! We’ll only get in the way!!”

The Guardian Spirit soldiers moved away from Brina and Elysse to avoid getting caught in the fight.

But the two didn’t pay attention to their surroundings.

For Brina, an opponent had appeared to prove the results of her training.

For Elysse, it was simply about eliminating an obstacle to the Underworld King’s orders.

“Step aside. Radios is currently in battle with Cthuga. If you don’t help him quickly, he will die. Even if it’s you, you cannot stop me. This is my final warning. Step aside.”

    “That’s absurd!”

Brina’s fist collided with the scythe and was severed.

    But she was a goblin.

She quickly regenerated her arm and swung her hand blade at Elysse’s neck.

    “I will eliminate all obstacles.”

A rigid voice devoid of any emotion.

To her, who only followed the orders of the Underworld King Hades,

The word “flexibility” was a worthless concept that didn’t exist.

    “Light Scythe Droplets.”

As Elysse smoothly drew her scythe downward to activate her skill,

The sky cracked open, and droplets made of light began to pour out.

    WHOOSH!

    “That won’t work on me!!”

Brina struck away the light clusters with her fist and boldly attempted to dodge.

The hellish evasion training she had done with Radios for the past three months.

Brina had finally earned Radios’s satisfaction in that training.

She had perfectly mastered the concept of evasion.

Even if she couldn’t dodge, a goblin’s body could overcome it.

As a result, Brina was able to land a punch on Elysse’s side when her posture wavered.

    “Ugh..!”

Elysse frowned and retreated, having allowed an unexpected hit.

Brina maintained her momentum and charged forward for her next attack.

However, it didn’t take long to realize.

Brina realized how naive she had been.

“I wanted to conserve my strength, but…”

    “..!”

As the chilling divine order that once emanated from Petrick, the apostle of Tulcha, began to flow from Elysse,

Brina had no choice but to stop in her tracks.

    Moving even slightly meant death.

If that death-calling scythe began to dance under Elysse’s will,

No one in this place would survive.

At this moment, even Arsia and Tiaran could only stare at Elysse, unable to do anything.

“Confirmed loss of fighting spirit. Proceeding to enter the primary target, the realm of the dead.”

    “H-hey! Where are you going?!”

Taking advantage of everyone’s frozen state, Elysse tore open the space created by Radios with her scythe.

She threw herself inside, and as soon as her presence disappeared, the torn part was restored.

“That crazy woman..! Sisters?! What should we do?”

“…We have to trust for now. The water is already spilled.”

Arsia activated her enemy detection skill again.

She could confirm that the color had changed to orange just because Elysse had entered that space.

In other words, Elysse was indeed an ally.

And the best ally who could avoid the dark red color.

“We just need to wait. If we wait… we can win.”

As always, Radios was someone who could create miracles.

As his subordinates, trusting him was natural.

Praying that he wouldn’t falter here,

Arsia offered a prayer to Artemis.

    ***

    “Heh… kuh… heh…”

“That was impressive. Even I broke into a cold sweat from that last attack.”

Cthuga, with half his face melted, chuckled as he regenerated.

    “You bastard… damn bastard…”

Radios wanted to hide his trembling body as he faced the monster.

But not a shred of strength remained.

The time for the goblin mask had completely disappeared.

    Nothing was left.

Even trying to buy time, harsh breathing came before words.

‘Hades, you damn bastard… when is Elysse going to—

Oh, did I even tell my companions about Elysse?

    “…Damn it.”

“I didn’t think you’d have energy left to curse.”

Come to think of it, he had been so preoccupied that he hadn’t mentioned anything about Elysse.

His companions were already on edge.

Elysse, who prioritized principles and only moved on Hades’s orders,

Would inevitably clash with his companions.

Meanwhile, Cthuga, though not showing it, was greatly perplexed.

‘The Flashing Celestial Sword… if that guy had possessed a divine order…’

    He might have died.

Radios’s Flashing Celestial Sword was definitely a tremendous skill capable of damaging Cthuga.

This meant that if Radios obtained a divine order,

The possibility of him reaching Outer God status would increase as he continued to grow.

‘He’s a dangerous seed. I need to uproot him here.’

It was the Outer God forces who had launched a preemptive strike against the passive Olympus.

    For one reason only.

To somehow fill the vacant position of the long-missing Blind Idiot God.

For this, they needed four fragments containing his power.

The Outer God forces destroyed the worlds under the influence of Asgard, Celtic, Camelot, and Egypt to obtain the four fragments.

Activating those fragments required the divine order possessed by gods.

So the next worlds they chose were Kadinant and Olympus.

The battle, which they thought would be as easy as the other worlds, kept growing.

Olympus, having partially discovered the Outer Gods’ purpose, had diverted one fragment as a final act of resistance.

‘That fragment is actually the trickiest of them all.’

A fragment with the ability to replicate others.

The energy of that fragment, called the Divine Fragment: Replication, was sensed from Radios.

“Hand over the fragment. Then I’ll spare your life.”

    “..!”

“So it is you after all.”

When Cthuga mentioned the fragment, Radios’s expression contorted.

It seemed like he was expressing that he had been found out.

Looking closely, the corner of his mouth was curled up in a smirk.

Just as Cthuga sensed something was off,

    SLASH!

    “Ugh!”

Feeling an intense wave of magical power from behind, Cthuga raised his guard.

He was struck by the blade of a scythe and sprawled across the mountain.

    “Why… did you come… so late…”

“Elysse, messenger of the Underworld. I am here to support Radios under the orders of Underworld King Hades.”

Radios’s secret trump card to turn the situation around.

The arrival of the Underworld messenger, Elysse.
