The next day.

Perhaps they felt the mini-event appeared too suddenly.

On the gallery, opinions expressing confusion about this mini-event were gradually emerging.

Of course, as always, such opinions were merely the minority.

Basically, the majority of users followed the trend that “any update is better than no update!”

Plus, given the nature of the event content, there was no risk of fleets or superhumans getting decimated.

Users’ reactions to the operations team’s mini-event were quite positive.

And it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that I felt the same way.

“If we do well this time, we might gather additional resources before the sector siege.”

“Even if we keep collecting until then and sweep up all the existing resource boxes and the trading market, it’ll be hard to exceed 2 million… this is fortunate.”

As Jessica calmly stated, at this rate, we wouldn’t even be able to gather 2 million resources after the city siege.

It was clear that this event would provide at least a little breathing room.

I have seen it! The truth!

While other losers were busy collecting resource boxes and wailing, I alone witnessed the miracle of obtaining 10 hibernating superhumans!!!!

    Arghhhhhh!

Looking at the reactions on the gallery, I resolved to do my best in this event as well.

    ==========

The problem was that the “stray ships” mentioned in the event content were… much larger than what I and other users had imagined.

    How large were they exactly…?

    Author: Anonymous

Content: [Image of a massive stray fleet ship (ghost ship) flying serenely amid scattered debris], [Image of a single ship that looks quite small compared to the ghost ship in front of it]

It says we need to stop it to investigate

But it’s over 30 times bigger than a battleship?

How are we supposed to stop this thing?

As you can see from these gallery posts.

These were massive battleships with “deck” lengths of tens of kilometers, and including all the external structural protrusions, they averaged over 100 kilometers in total.

…And now ships at least 30 times larger than these were pushing in.

    ‘Oh boy.’

Ridiculously enough, since the routes of these “ghost ships” were all different for each user.

Apparently, there was a rare chance that the ghost ship would crash into your base like that.

Of course, in such cases, you could mobilize your fleet forces to shoot it down.

Or deploy superhumans inside for a quick investigation, collect the rewards, and be done with it.

And then there were other approaches…

While a strange fight suddenly broke out in the comments between so-called “dentures” and “milk-teeth” with these weird names biting and tearing at each other.

Some users mobilized their entire fleet to try to stop the mindlessly drifting wreckage following inertia.

Attempting to somehow stop it with a body collision.

Title: Where is this ghost ship going?

    Author: Anonymous

Content: [Image of a minimap showing the ghost ship’s path barely grazing the edge of the sector]

    What is this

    Seriously what is this

How am I supposed to deal with this?

It’s not even passing through for hours, it’s just grazing by for a few dozen seconds?

    Comments:

-[Honestly, I think the operations team needs to fix this]

    —————————————–

There were users who were passed by the event itself, as if the event was giving them a pass.

Despite being a mini-event, users seemed to be going through quite a tumultuous situation.

Naturally, no matter how absurd the operations team might be, they wouldn’t just ignore something like this.

About 20 minutes after the gallery started burning up like this.

    —————————————–

    <Urgent Notice!>

<We have identified situations where some Commanders cannot properly progress in the current mini-event “Tracking the Ghost Fleet!”>

<For affected Commanders, additional ghost ships with modified paths passing near sector centers will be deployed!>

<For Commanders who haven’t yet encountered ghost ships, the paths will also be adjusted!>

    —————————————–

Perhaps because the affected commanders couldn’t progress normally at all.

Unlike usual, the operations team responded with feedback quite quickly, and the ghost ship routes were instantly normalized.

After watching the early chaos of those forced into the role of investigation corps while eating popcorn.

“Commander, a massive mass has been detected on the gravity radar!”

    “Oh, it’s finally here.”

With a truly relaxed mindset and leisurely attitude, I decided to immediately send assault pods toward the large and beautiful ship that had just entered our sector.
