Ch.255Status Check After a Long Time! (3)
by fnovelpia
After a moment of contemplation, I figured we had some resources to spare since we’d hired fewer mercenaries.
I thought we’d have more resources coming in as we built the third forward base while simultaneously increasing our resource extraction ships.
I decided to ask Jessica directly how much we had available.
“Jessica, roughly how many resources do we have left right now?”
“Including what we spent on building the forward base recently, I’d say about 550,000 minerals and 90,000 rare resources?”
“I see, and what’s our daily income?”
“After subtracting mercenary wages, fleet maintenance, and repair costs, we get about 15,000 minerals and 7,000 rare resources daily.”
“…That’s all?”
Seeing the unexpectedly modest resource income, I expressed my bewilderment.
Noticing my expression, Jessica shrugged her shoulders and explained matter-of-factly.
“Well, it takes at least a few more days for a forward base to become fully operational for resource collection and other functions, you know?”
“Ah, right, of course.”
“Besides, you just received two large carriers and battleships. Those things have quite high maintenance costs.”
“…Hmm.”
I nodded at her explanation, but honestly, apart from base construction or additional forward bases, there weren’t many other expenses…
Though it would be a bit tight, I decided to accept Princess Luca’s quest anyway.
———-
Anyway, after deciding to support Princess Luca with 1,001 minerals and 101 rare resources daily, I wanted to check how many monster ships we had at our base.
When I actually looked, I realized we had what could only be described as a “hobby-level” quantity at this point.

The bizarre classification system unique to monsters made the list twice as long.
But altogether, it was just 21 ships, and only 3 of them could clearly be classified as “large ships” by user standards.
‘Well… this certainly won’t consume many resources.’
Since I wasn’t providing all the resources myself, and they said they’d gather what they needed on their own…
If they could maintain and manage this level of force while only requiring one-sixth of the mercenary costs for fleet maintenance…
Whether we end up in PVP with someone else in the future, or engage in PVE.
No matter what situation arose, barring any unfair treatment, I was naturally satisfied that this was a usable level of power as a sub-dealer fleet.
———-
The next thing to check was, of course, how much “G-o-l-d” I had accumulated from the rewards given by both the Humanity Clan and Loki Clan after the last incident.
Since I hadn’t opened the auction house at all since the end of the event, I’d momentarily forgotten how much I’d gathered.

<This is a currency different from the rare mineral “gold” and can only be used here>

‘Hmm, quite a juicy amount.’
Perhaps because a total of 35,000 gold had come in from both clans.
Seeing over 40,000 gold filled in my auction house account, which I’d been gradually increasing by a few dozen gold here and there…
I decided to use 36,000 gold, setting aside 5,000 for future growth.
I resolved to use this to buy some sweet items from the auction house.
The problem was that I wasn’t the only one with this idea…
When I actually opened the auction house, for some reason both the auction house and the trading market were in a state of complete extinction for “ships” and “superhumans” items.
‘What is this?’
Seeing the complete drought of items for sale, I was dumbfounded and immediately searched the gallery to find out why the auction house had become like this.
And the result.

After seeing the event mess, I was gradually saving gold to spend
Why is there nothing?
Is it always like this?
Comments:
-[Thousands and tens of thousands of people like you bought everything at once]
-[Especially the large clans are hoarding aggressively]
-[Gacha usage rights used to appear occasionally, but apparently enemy clans are taking them all as “strategic resources”]
-˪[Since when did gacha usage rights become strategic resources?]
-˪[Because superhumans fought so well in the ranker all-star match during this event?]

Title: What’s really funny is that people are hoarding from the auction house because of the event all-star match

The ridiculous thing is that Kraken and Anomalocaris, who were super hard carries in the all-star match, don’t even come from gacha
Kraken is a purely random ship with a 1 in 1,000,000 chance of appearing from space chrysalises that monster factions occasionally provide
And Anomalocaris can’t be acquired except by stealing it from the Xenovia Empire’s regular fleet lolololololol

-[So there’s nothing else?]
-[Hresvelgr’s suicide charge looked tempting though]
-˪[That was just 3rd place throwing because it was an event and ships would recover anyway. Would they throw a precious SSS-rank battleship otherwise?]

Through the last event, whether superhumans or ships.
Perhaps because users had painfully realized how much stronger well-developed “gacha” ships could be compared to regular grade ships.
The perception that “regular ships <<<<<(overwhelmingly)<<<<<gacha ships” that had been spreading among users, knowingly or unknowingly, accelerated even more.
As a result, not only the majority of users.
But even all the large clans stepped in, spending all the gold they had accumulated to conduct hoarding (?) in the auction house.
Everything that appeared in the auction house or trading market was completely swept up…
As a result, pure and innocent solo players like me had absolutely nothing they could do.
‘Sob, how sad.’
It suddenly occurred to me that this might be why Humanity and Loki willingly gave me gold.
Anyway, perhaps that’s why.

It’s a pain in the ass, but try trading individually with gold
If you say you want to trade in the general chat, someone will contact you
Oh, but due to the nature of private trading, some people try to barter without gold

-[lolololololol]
-[What the hell, primitive physical trading is reviving in an SF world?]
-˪[That is… avant-garde…]
-[Take my word for it, when you try to deal with gold, the other party asks for a premium, sometimes more than double the auction house price]

Seeing the revival of physical trading… well, bartering, I really didn’t know what to make of this situation.
