Ch.251251. The Abyssal Sea
by fnovelpia
[Main Quest 2]
[Aura of Chaos]
[The aura of chaos flowing into the Rift Dimension is the exact opposite of the aura of life. By pursuing its true nature, we might find clues to purify and stabilize the Rift Dimension. However, the increasingly dense aura of chaos seems to require caution. The dense aura of chaos that has permeated the aura of life is extremely dangerous. All creatures living and active in the sea are exposed to the dense aura of chaos, and even the seawater is being consumed by it, causing the aura of life to disappear. Let’s try to eliminate the corrupted abyss that has taken root as the primordial source.]
[Find and eliminate the source of the dense aura of chaos in the Level 7 Biome]
[※The aura of chaos discovered in the Level 7 Biome is extremely dense, and merely entering the sea can expose you to its powerful effects.]
[Be cautious as this aura of chaos is excessively strong and dense compared to the one contained in the corrupted ring. Sequential growth might actually be helpful.]
[Reward: SSS+ Grade Life Skill Selection Ticket x4, SSS Grade Life Skill Selection Ticket x2, Farming Stat Points 150, 5,000,000 Farm, Dense Chaos Aura Fragment x3, Rare Point Enhancement Ticket x3, Biome Enhancement Ticket x1]
The Level 7 Biome had an extremely challenging difficulty even when Suhyeon played Farming World 1.
As biome levels increase, the difficulty of monsters rises exponentially, and with the dense aura of chaos added on top, I definitely couldn’t let my guard down even with my arsenal of SSS+ abilities.
Moreover, the Abyssal Sea I’m facing this time is underwater.
Human movement is restricted underwater.
While high stats reduce the slowing effect of water resistance, it doesn’t eliminate it completely. Plus, I’ll have to fight aquatic monsters that move even faster in water like fish in their element, adding another disadvantage to overcome.
This isn’t just a matter of figuring out how to breathe.
“I really need to prepare properly for this one.”
Not that I’ve ever been unprepared since the Ore Mountain Range, but this time I felt like I needed to scrape together everything I could.
Setting aside other issues, my carefully cultivated attack power would likely be significantly nullified by the Level 7 dense aura of chaos.
My only advantages—overwhelming speed and attack power—have carried me through quests easily so far, but the downside is that once those are blocked, I have no remaining advantages.
Sure, I’ve collected defensive abilities and utilities like Rift Gap, but ultimately my main focus has been on attack power.
For now, I didn’t immediately enter the Abyssal Sea but just placed a transport portal.
“But it really is beautiful.”
The vast ocean.
Fine sandy beaches.
The coastline stretching beyond the horizon would make this a truly beautiful resort if you ignored the whole “Abyssal Sea” aspect.
“Building a resort here would be killer.”
After selling one villa, I’ve started seeing every corner of the Rift Dimension as potential tourist real estate.
Of course, I had no intention of letting just anyone in—it would turn into a trash heap like some K-tourist spot—but this beautiful sunset scenery was truly worth seeing.
Sitting on the sand, I gaze at the setting sun.
The half-sunken sun and the sunset glow.
Light reflecting on the rippling seawater.
The deep, quiet sea was darkly crimson due to the dense aura of chaos, but even that mixed with the sunset to create a beautiful scene.
A trap where being enchanted by that beauty would lead to falling into an endless abyss.
“Ahh… this is so nice.”
How far does the charm of the Rift Dimension extend?
Every time I encounter the unique characteristics and advantages of each biome, I fall deeper into the endless appeal of Farming World.
That’s why I’ve dedicated my life to this game.
I feel greedy.
Where is the end of this vast Rift Dimension?
I wanted to reveal the entire map and shape it into my own world.
To do that, I need to see it through to the end.
Level 10. Or beyond.
Only by purifying the aura of chaos and bringing stability to the Rift Dimension can peace follow.
“It seems like the aura of chaos just keeps getting denser…”
The higher the biome level, the denser the aura of chaos becomes.
Of course, my sample size is only two, having jumped directly from Level 5 to Level 7, but I suspected that most higher biomes would now feature dense auras of chaos.
I return home.
On the cabin’s blackboard, I wrote down things I could do so I wouldn’t forget:
1. Dense Chaos Aura Fragment x2
2. Enhance Chaos Stone Purification Cauldron
3. Item Auction
4. Item Enhancement
5. Level Up
6. Use Achievement Points
These were the obvious spec upgrades available.
I still hadn’t used the Dense Chaos Aura Fragments that I would have used immediately in the past.
Achievement points had accumulated to 35.
Using just those might make me stronger than adding two more SSS+ abilities.
I had so many SSS+ abilities now that adding one or two more wouldn’t multiply my strength significantly.
It would just give me a few more capabilities to deal with situations.
So from here on, focusing on enhancing items made more sense.
“I need to replace all my items with SS grade and enhance them.”
As I was planning to steadily build momentum toward the mid-to-late game by solidifying my item foundation to widen the gap I’d created with my abilities, I noticed something written at the bottom of the blackboard that I’d forgotten:
– Lulu’s growth.
“Ah.”
With so many things to do, I sometimes miss things even after writing them down.
I immediately called for Lulu.
“Lulu.”
“Yes, Master!!”
“You fool. Why didn’t you ask me to help you grow?”
“Hehe… I knew Master would do it when you had time. You were busy, and I didn’t want to be too demanding.”
I felt a bit sorry for forgetting about this after being busy with Farming Day and villa construction, only giving abilities to my employees.
I’ve really become quite an emotional person.
When I first came to the Rift Dimension, my attitude toward Lulu was practically psychopathic.
Back then, I just thought of Lulu as an NPC, but now after socializing and interacting with people, the women in my cabin… they feel like family and I’ve grown fond of them.
So I gave Lulu a gift for waiting patiently.
“Let’s get you a proper growth upgrade.”
There must be a reason for Lulu’s existence as a helper NPC.
Of course, she’s provided a lot of information and help with each biome I’ve cleared, but that couldn’t be her only purpose. Besides, I was curious about Lulu’s abilities that could be enhanced through Farm and farming stat points.
Lulu’s growth involved raising her grade.
I could upgrade Lulu from her current F grade through E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, and SSS+, but I couldn’t check what effects each grade would have.
If I could have checked, I would have invested Farm and farming points long ago if the effects were good.
I had been hesitant to spend my carefully saved Farm and farming stats on something unknown, but now seemed like the time to take a gamble.
[Would you like to upgrade Lulu’s grade from F -> E?]
[Required materials]
– Farm: 0 / 50,000
– Farming Stat Points: 0 / 10
While this amount is trivial now, 50,000 Farm was an enormous sum at the beginning.
Back when I was recruiting NPCs, one try cost 1,000 Farm.
Even though it’s only been a few months, the high cost of 50,000 Farm plus 10 farming stat points was almost like a speed bump.
Now I could pay it coolly.
[Lulu grows to E grade.]
“Wow!”
Light flashed and seeped into Lulu’s body.
What changed?
[NPC Information]
– Name: Lulu
– Age: ?
– Race: Rift Fairy
– Grade: E
– Ability: Rift Enhancement (E)
A new ability called Rift Enhancement appeared for the first time.
Since it was E grade, it didn’t seem like much.
[Rift Enhancement]
– Grade: E
– Passive Skill
– Borrows power from the Rift to increase all stats of personnel belonging to the base proportional to grade. (Current: E, Strength +1 grade)
“…Huh?”
I froze as I opened what I thought would be an unimpressive gift box.
“Wait. Hold on.”
Strength increases by 1 grade for free.
Well, not free since I spent Farm and farming stats, but still.
50,000 Farm and 10 farming points for +1 grade to strength?
My SS- grade strength became SS grade.
And this increases with grade, so it will continue to grow as I upgrade her.
“….Lulu.”
I hugged the small fairy Lulu tightly.
“I knew I could count on you.”
