This world is a fantasy world.

What this means is that it’s a world where magic, sorcery, and monsters that I couldn’t see in the world I used to live in actually exist, and where you can directly see divine beings or hear their voices.

Naturally, in a place like this, it wouldn’t be particularly surprising if ancient magical civilizations or super-ancient civilizations actually existed in the past.

So what would be surprising to see in this world?

Here, I can give one answer.

‘An object that shouldn’t be seen in a fantasy world.’

Just like this rusty automatic pistol currently in my hand.

Judging by the appearance of the automatic pistol, it didn’t seem to be a modern model.

‘I wonder if it has bullets?’

I pressed the magazine release on the grip and removed the magazine.

Out of curiosity, I separated the magazine to check, and found gun bullets loaded inside, rusted in several places.

    ‘Wait, why is this here?’

I came to check because there was something unusual, but I was quite surprised to find an automatic pistol that I could only have seen in the world I used to live in.

Some might say that automatic pistols could exist in a fantasy world… but this neighborhood is a place where people exist who can freely use technology far more powerful than this.

Also, there are monsters with physical abilities strong enough to deflect bullets.

And the means used to hunt them are swords, spears, arrows, magic, and other such methods—not bullets.

‘Besides, in this world, the only ranged attack methods were javelins, slings, arrows, or magic.’

Ranged attack methods don’t really go beyond these four options.

Muskets or matchlock guns might appear, but even the warships of the Military Alliance weren’t equipped with anything like cannons.

So where on earth did this thing come from?

This automatic pistol that shouldn’t exist and wasn’t expected to exist in a fantasy world.

The fact that the magazine is full of ammunition suggests it was abandoned while loaded.

Could it belong to someone who was dragged into this world like me?

Or is it an object that crossed over from another world for some reason?

    I couldn’t find a clear answer.

    “What are you doing?”

    “Ah, I found something interesting.”

I stood up at the sound of Regina noona’s voice from behind me.

My back was slightly sore from crouching for a while.

“Is that interesting thing what you’re holding?”

    “Oh? Yes, it is.”

“What a strange-looking object. My lord, do you know what this object is?”

Cheonhyeryeong had approached me and started examining the automatic pistol.

    “Hmm…”

Should I say I know, or should I pretend not to know?

‘If I fix this and carry it around, it would be perfect for self-defense.’

I’m not sure if using my ability on an empty magazine would allow for infinite bullet copying, though.

If that were possible, this thing would truly qualify as my reliable companion.

    “It’s called an automatic pistol.”

“Automatic… pistol? That’s an unfamiliar term. Do you know what it is?”

“Indeed. Automatic pistol? I have neither seen nor heard of such an object.”

Both Regina noona and Cheonhyeryeong seemed to be seeing an automatic pistol for the first time.

    I pondered.

Should I tell them that I came from another world?

What if they don’t accept it as the truth?

    “Well…”

“Oh, now that I think about it, I feel like I’ve seen something like this before. Very rarely, when the stars form a specific pattern at a specific time, the flow of space-time becomes unstable, and objects from other worlds can be summoned here.”

    …?

    “Is that true?”

“I only remember seeing it in ancient documents… but I think Shureka might be able to tell us more about it.”

When Regina noona mentioned Shureka, Cheonhyeryeong showed interest.

“Who is this Shureka you speak of?”

“There’s a long-eared, long-lived race that protects a large tree called the World Tree in a distant land.”

“I see. To think that the fairy folk I’ve only heard of actually exist.”

…Did even the Celestial Demons not know about the existence of elves?

Well, I suppose elves would prefer to stay in the Western Continent where they can communicate.

Would they want to visit the Eastern Continent where they can’t communicate?

“So this object came from another world?”

“Probably. But… Patos. How do you know the name of this object?”

After Regina noona confirmed that the automatic pistol was from another world, she directed a question at me.

How do I know the name of this object…

Well, because this object was made in the world I used to live in.

Though slightly faded and hard to see, the letters “USA” engraved on the slide of the pistol confirmed that this weapon came from Earth.

Moreover, when I checked the magazine, there were about 7 bullets inside.

The weight of the pistol was quite substantial, heavier than the company commander’s pistol I had handled in the military before.

From this… the one in my hand was a .45 caliber automatic pistol that had been used for a long time in the United States and was still in use today.

Given that it didn’t have attachments like a Picatinny rail, it was most likely the original model rather than a derivative.

If you’re wondering how I know all this despite not being a military enthusiast… the only friend I had in my previous life was a hardcore military enthusiast, so I ended up learning these things whether I wanted to or not.

Anyway, that’s not the important part, so why do I keep going off on tangents?

I looked at the two of them.

They seemed unable to understand how I knew the name of this object.

Has the time finally come to reveal my secret?

    “Actually…”

I confessed my secret to Regina noona and Cheonhyeryeong.

I explained that I had memories of a previous life, how I had lived before, and that I died in an accident, but it turned out the accident happened by mistake, so I was given a new life here.

Normally, telling such a story would get you labeled as crazy, but…

“I see. That must have been difficult for you.”

“Hmm, to remember the moment of death. Then, my lord, you have not died once but twice…”

Regina noona and Cheonhyeryeong believed what I was saying was true.

    “You… don’t think I’m lying?”

“Hehe, when you lie, it shows all over your face.”

Oh, so there’s no point in lying because it would be obvious anyway.

It seems choosing to tell the truth was the right decision.

“Well, there have been quite a few people in the past who claimed to be reincarnators. Of course, most of them were mentally unstable, but there were some who genuinely spoke of other worlds.”

“Really? I’ve never heard stories about those people…”

“That’s inevitable. Those reincarnators had twisted ideologies. One person argued that the monarchy was a system that exploited the people and had to be overthrown, and that a socialist revolution should be sparked across the world.”

Ah… so that’s the kind of person they were.

“Well, after saying that, they were immediately arrested for treason and disappeared at the execution ground. Their last words were…”

“Was it something like ‘Workers of the world, unite’?”

“Oh my! How did you know that?”

“We had people like that in my previous life too. Though they completely failed and disappeared.”

There were others too, like someone who advocated human supremacy and disparaged other races, ending up horribly after calling dwarves ‘filthy midgets’ and getting written in the Book of Grudges.

These reincarnators… what on earth were they doing?

    “So what does this do?”

“This one is also curious about that.”

The conversation about my past life ended there, and the two showed interest in the .45 caliber automatic pistol in my hand.

“It’s an automatic pistol. It fires the bullets in this magazine when you pull the trigger. It’s a weapon.”

    “A weapon?”

“Seeing it in action would be faster than explaining.”

I took out my hammer and struck the pistol in my hand, using my ability.

As the pistol was restored to like-new condition, I pulled the slide, and with a click, I could feel a bullet being chambered.

I firmly gripped the pistol with both hands, aimed at a discarded piece of pottery nearby, and pulled the trigger.

    —Bang!

The gun fired normally when I pulled the trigger.

Seeing this, Regina noona and Cheonhyeryeong’s eyes sparkled brightly.

They looked like puppies eyeing a toy they wanted to play with.
