    Ch.249Order-Sensitive NPC. (2)

“Wait, wait a second!! Why are you putting the dishes in the fireplace when I told you to clear them away?!!”

“Huh, huh?! I thought I was supposed to make them disappear, so I figured if I put them in there, they wouldn’t be visible anymore…”

Luxuria, accused of training Miho like a mutt, turned out to be a sheltered noble lady who genuinely had no concept of cleaning! After using the wooden dishes left in our house, Miho, not wanting to be treated like a dog again, told her to clear them away. But watching her, I saw she gathered the dishes and threw them straight into the fireplace. And she did it while nervously glancing at us!!

Good grief, just one step to the side and there’s a basin of water, but she’s tossing them into the fire instead.

“Quick, get them out!! They’re going to burn up?!!”

    “Uwah?! H-hot!!”

“Of course it’s hot?!! What are you doing?! Those dishes hold Jack’s memories…!!”

“It’s fine. We were only going to use them for today anyway. Not like they hold any special memories.”

Besides, the truly precious small dragon dishes that hold real memories have been washed and packed away in my bag, so there’s no problem. My dishes might as well become firewood and at least keep us warm—that’s their final purpose.

“Do you really not understand the concept of cleaning?!”

“This is ridiculous. You know how to clean dust but not this?”

“Hiiing… In the demon realm, servants did everything in my territory, so I don’t know about cleaning…”

For a high-ranking demon, the concept of cleaning or clearing away means making something invisible. Or killing it. As Luxuria whined this explanation, the beastkin sisters’ expressions soured, while I could only offer a bitter smile. How demonic of her in such a strange way.

“This thing is supposed to be my rival?”

“In a long-term battle, the two of us would definitely have the advantage.”

“Huh? Why?! C-cleaning has nothing to do with love, right?!! I-I’m confident in my bedroom skills!!”

“Pfft! Is that so? There’s a saying about ‘bride training,’ you know. A wife who can’t clean or cook loses points, don’t you think?”

After my teasing remark, Luxuria let out what sounded like a scream from some anime character and began struggling to retrieve the dishes she’d turned into firewood, going “Ouch! Hot hot hot!!” Hey, just leave them be. You’ll hurt yourself and lose even more points.

“Hiiing… C-cleaning. Cooking. C-can’t I just order servants to do it all? The high-ranking demons who served me were all like me…”

    “No way!!”

“Besides, all those demons who served you were female, right? They’d all fall for Jack’s pheromones and we’d just end up with more women around. I’m against that.”

I couldn’t argue with Chikuyo about why I would supposedly charm demons with pheromones. That gaze of hers, looking at me like she wants to devour me since morning, is honestly a bit scary.

“I see. Well, if they’re high-ranking lust demons, they might even consider rebellion when seeing a man like Jack.”

    “…That’s what you call servants?”

“Hmph! Lust demons are more desperate for love than anyone!! If they find a man they like, they’ll try to steal him even if he’s already taken—that’s what lust demons do!!!”

“Then that’s even more reason to say no. If a demon prettier than you, with a better body, who’s good at cleaning and cooking, and willing to devote herself to Jack showed up, you’d just get tossed aside, wouldn’t you?”

    “Hiiieek?!!”

After proudly declaring that for lust demons, even NTR is fair game, Chikuyo hit her with cold facts, and Luxuria immediately started whimpering. She’s so silly it’s cute.

“Well, honestly, I don’t plan on adding any more people here. I don’t want to cause any more trouble for the women who care about me.”

After patting the whimpering Luxuria’s head to comfort her, I spoke honestly. I already have two gorgeous NPCs in my party—Rei and Chikuyo—plus the beautiful Miho who wasn’t even in the game, and the raid boss Ragni with her intelligence and style. And now I’m supposed to make the Lust demon who killed me my woman too? Frankly, any more than this and my arms will be torn off. Moreover…

‘Six women means one per day. Then I’d need one day off per week.’

As I always say, I’m a healthy man too. I can’t help having those thoughts around these beautiful women with great bodies. I’m just gritting my teeth and enduring for now, for the sake of Ira’s and my safety, as well as the women who have now become too numerous for me to handle. If I lose my self-control and get any of them pregnant, I’ll have to be prepared to run for my life. Maybe I’d have to kill all Seven Deadly Sins instead of the players? That would be truly difficult, so please forgive me.

“Uuu. N-no, right? You wouldn’t throw me away after our first kiss…?”

“Why would I? I said I’d protect you. As long as you don’t leave, that won’t happen, so don’t think strange things.”

    “E-ehehe. R-right?”

    “Tch!”

    “Tch!”

Of course, after comforting the foolishly worried Luxuria, the sisters immediately clicked their tongues. I couldn’t help feeling that if I didn’t handle them properly, I’d face a crisis scarier than the Seven Deadly Sins.

    *

“There! That room over there is yours!”

    “Huh?”

“Hurry up and go. We wake up early, so you’d better get to sleep now.”

    “U-eh?! W-why am I sleeping alone…!!”

“Wait, why aren’t we dividing it as three women and one man…?”

    “Jack, be quiet!!”

    “……”

Luxuria had cleaned the dust in the cabin, but Miho and Chikuyo handled the rest—organizing, unpacking, preparing the beds and meals. After a delicious dinner and peaceful conversation for the first time in a while, the Miho-Chikuyo sisters suggested we go to sleep.

“Um. Hey, if I sleep together with you all…”

    “Grrrrrr!!!”

    “Grrrrr…!!!”

“Eek?!! G-good night!! S-see you tomorrow morning?!!”

The two beasts pushed Luxuria into the room I used to use, then dragged me into Ira’s room. Ah, look at the mold on the bed. I definitely can’t let Ira sleep here anymore.

    “Now then.”

“About what happened earlier today. Shall we hear why it happened?”

“…Sigh, there’s nothing to hear. Miho, you already know, don’t you?”

    “What do I know?”

Miho glared at me as if she genuinely didn’t know, which confused me a bit, but I answered properly.

“You went to the past with me and heard the ancestor’s request to take care of Luxuria…”

“What does that have to do with this?”

    “Huh?”

“That’s right. Whether you live with a demon, an angel, or even a goddess, we don’t care. What’s baffling is that you don’t understand why we’re angry.”

Miho’s bewildered comment was followed by Chikuyo’s explanation, but I was stunned, as if caught by a girlfriend’s “Do you know why I’m angry?” skill. Wait, isn’t this usually the technique where the man has to apologize first? Why are they being so direct?!

“Sigh. Judging by your expression, you really don’t know.”

“Jack, this is a bit disappointing.”

    “Ah…”

Seeing their reactions—Miho’s eyebrows drooping in disappointment and Chikuyo’s normally proud tail hanging low—I was at a loss for words. Honestly, I knew it wouldn’t be easy for someone like me with no proper dating experience to date multiple women without problems, but I didn’t expect things to fall apart so quickly. Sigh, just apologizing here probably won’t reach them properly. This is truly my inexperience and misjudgment.

“…I really don’t know. I’m truly sorry for disappointing you both, but could you tell me what the problem was?”

Of course, I can’t just bow my head and tell them to leave because they’re disappointed. My feelings for them aren’t that small. Actually, my first meeting with Miho was terrible. When leaving Nate, I thought I never wanted to see her face again. But after returning to Aigram and talking with Miho, learning about her painful past, and seeing how she behaved in her hometown despite its painful memories, she was attractive enough to draw me in as a man.

And Chikuyo too, though she initially showed strong hostility toward me, quickly acknowledged me and showed affection. I felt deep compassion in how she showed so much love for her younger sister Miho. Knowing their past, I was already deeply attracted to both of them. So I can’t give up here.

    “…We were first.”

“I knew Miss Rei, Miss Ragni, and Lady Gore were before me, and I saw that Jack liked the three of them and that they loved Jack. I thought it was okay for me to be next in line.”

Chikuyo pouted childishly, and Miho continued with a sulky tone. Wait, they were first? Could it be…

“Ugh… Is it about the k-kiss order?”

    “……”

When I voiced my realization, both of them puffed their cheeks and started flicking their tails angrily!

My goodness, really? They were angry about the order?!

    “…Pfft!!”

    “Sister, Jack is laughing?!”

“He’s laughing?! Is this funny to you?!!”

Their final words, spoken with wide eyes, made me burst into laughter. Ah, damn. I really shouldn’t laugh, I’m sorry. But I can’t stop.

    “Kekek! Ah, sorry… Puhehe!!”

    “Eeek!!”

“What?! So we’re just fish you’ve already caught?! Jack!! I never thought you were that kind of—!!”

Before Chikuyo and Miho, now stomping their feet in anger, could react further, I approached them with a smile, arms outstretched, and embraced them. Ah, this feels nice!!

    “Sorry, really sorry. Pfft…!!”

“Eeek!! H-hugging us won’t make us forgive you…!!”

“Th-that’s right!! If you think we’ll wag our tails like dog beastkin with this level of skinship, you’re greatly mistaken…!!”

“I don’t think that at all. And that’s not why I laughed. Really.”

Despite my embrace, they both glared at me fiercely, but unfortunately, their tails were too honest. Miho’s tail had already started wrapping around my thigh, and Chikuyo’s was wagging like a puppy’s. However, I had no intention of thinking I was forgiven just because of this.

“Thank you. I laughed because your words made me realize my life is happier than I thought. And I didn’t know you both valued your relationship with me so much. I’m sorry.”

    “Ungh!!”

    “Gulp!!”

At my words, they both flinched, then slowly moved their arms to embrace me back. Ah, the mood isn’t bad. If I gave them both the same kiss right now since they’re upset about the kiss order, they’d both be completely won over, wouldn’t they? Let me make it up to them a bit more.

I slowly placed my chin between their heads and whispered softly in their ears.

“…Though I was thoughtless about the kiss order, you two are the first women I’ve shared a room with.”

    Except my sister.

At my quiet words, Miho’s tail wrapped more tightly around my thigh, and Chikuyo’s tail, which had been gently wagging, now began flapping so hard it made noise. This is, well… I hope they’re not expecting too much?

“…Tonight, shall the three of us sleep holding hands?”

I threw out that suggestion to try to restrain things, but why did I feel the arms of Miho and Chikuyo tighten around me with a bit too much force? Um…

Should we really just hold hands while sleeping?
