Ch.243Side Story: An Ordinary Day

“Oh, Abel? You’re back earlier than I expected. I thought it would take much longer.”

As soon as I returned to the mansion, Olivia greeted me at the main entrance wearing nothing but an apron. It was that same outfit from our wild night before, with fabric coverage reduced to the absolute minimum.

Whether she wore such clothes because no one was with me, or whether no one happened to be with me while she was wearing such clothes, I couldn’t tell.

But one thing was certain: if those three had been with me, they would have undoubtedly raised hell about what the hell she was doing. It was fortunate I didn’t have to witness such a scene immediately upon returning.

“What exactly is that outfit supposed to be? What are you wearing it for?”

“This? Hehe, why? Are you getting turned on looking at me?”

Olivia fluttered the hem of her outfit with a suggestive smile.

The fabric was so thin and ridiculously short that even that slight movement made it dangerously precarious. One wrong move and not just her nipples but her private parts would be completely exposed.

She wore nothing underneath. The only thing covering Olivia’s body was a single piece of extremely thin fabric.

“As you can see, it’s an apron.”

“It doesn’t look like one at all. That’s really an apron?”

“Of course. It’s an apron used for cooking long rods that spurt white liquid when stroked by hand or sucked diligently with the mouth. You know, that thing between Abel’s legs.”

    “…I should stop talking.”

I let out a deep sigh. Olivia giggled and clung to my side, linking her arm with mine. Only then did she seem to notice the absence of the three who should have been with me, looking around curiously.

    “Where are they?”

“I left them behind to learn dragon language. They said a day or two should be enough. The Dragon Lord seemed quite disappointed that they were only staying to learn the language before leaving.”

Serena, Charlotte, and Christine stayed at the Dragon Lair to learn dragon language.

At first, when they saw me preparing to return to the mansion, they wanted to forget about dragon language and stick by my side, but I persuaded them to stay, saying it would be a waste to have come all this way.

That’s because I was interested in dragon language. No special reason, just simple curiosity.

However, I couldn’t stay at the Dragon Lair indefinitely without knowing how long it would take, leaving Olivia alone at the mansion, so I returned by myself.

They’re probably dedicating themselves to learning dragon language right now, forgoing not just sleep but even rest periods. They’d have no reason to refuse when they could teach me directly.

    “Hmm, dragon language…”

Olivia seemed to be pondering something after hearing those words, so I decided to probe a little.

“Can you speak it? You mentioned meeting dragons before, right?”

“Well, it’s not entirely impossible for me. I can’t handle it perfectly, but let’s say I can use it to some extent.”

    “…Really?”

I was inwardly shocked when she confirmed she could. I was just testing the waters, but I never expected her to actually say she could do it. Had I underestimated Olivia too much?

“Why would I lie about something like this? It’s true.”

    “How?”

“Well… I just found I could do it? When I invaded a lair to recover my strength, the dragons were spewing some strange language, so I caught one and devoured it alive. After that, I found I could understand what they were saying.”

I had suspected it wasn’t a pleasant story, but I wondered what exactly had happened for a dragon to be eaten alive.

“Anyway, if you can understand it, you can speak it too?”

“Since I didn’t properly learn it, I can barely understand it.”

As she spoke, she tried to subtly guide my hand between her thighs, but I firmly pushed it away. Ever since we first shared our bodies as a foursome, these kinds of advances seemed to be increasing.

    Olivia looked shocked.

“Eh, why? Not even this much?”

“You won’t stop there. Besides, I only embrace you all when all four of you are together. I’m not compromising on this point. I don’t want any of you getting ahead or falling behind the others.”

    “…Is that so?”

When I drew a firm line, Olivia stared at me intently before waving her hand to change her outfit. She now wore a distinctive buttoned top with a short black skirt and stockings.

“If Abel says so, I guess there’s no need to keep wearing this.”

    “Was that really your intention?”

“I told you, didn’t I? It was for cooking that rod between Abel’s legs. Oh, but I’m always ready, so if Abel wants to, you can do it anytime. If you want, you could even thrust it in while I’m sleeping—Ow!”

I flicked her forehead, sensing this would never end otherwise. A crisp sound rang out. Though it couldn’t have hurt much, Olivia clutched her forehead with a pained expression.

    “Heeeng, that’s mean, Abel.”

    “You brought it on yourself.”

    “What did I do?”

“You know better than anyone, Olivia.”

“All I did was try to seduce Abel and plan to get ravished all night—Ow!”

I flicked her forehead again before another sexual joke could emerge. Finally somewhat subdued, Olivia clung to my arm and followed me with quick steps.

Unable to completely give up, she occasionally played with my fingers, rubbed her breasts against my arm, or squeezed my forearm between her breasts, but I let those minor advances slide.

It’s not like I would give in to just that much anyway.

Without incident, we returned to my room on the mansion’s top floor. While I was resting and casually reading a magic book, Olivia, who had been rolling around on the bed sniffing and nuzzling it, suddenly sat up.

“What are you going to do now, Abel?”

Her top was half-unbuttoned, revealing breasts that went beyond voluptuous to nearly gigantic, and her rolled-up skirt exposed her buttocks and thighs completely.

So she had been rubbing herself against my bed looking like that.

“Olivia, you… you haven’t been doing this the whole time I was gone, have you?”

“Me? Come on, as if I would! Though I probably wasn’t the only one.”

    “…”

Somehow, whenever the girls taking turns staying by my side changed, the scent on the bed changed too. So the cause wasn’t perfume but their natural scents.

That somewhat explained why they were all nearly naked when I woke up.

“This is actually perfect timing. You asked what I was going to do, right, Olivia?”

I closed the magic book I was reading. I had been killing time because I couldn’t find the right moment to speak, but since she just asked what I was going to do next, I figured now was the time.

“I actually have something to tell you. I’ll sit beside you.”

“…Abel, why are you suddenly being so ominous?”

Olivia hugged her arms in front of her chest with an uneasy expression. She pressed her thighs together and kept glancing at me. Did she think I was going to scold her for what just happened?

“I’m not going to scold you, so don’t worry. I really do have something to tell you.”

“Is that so? I got nervous for nothing. I thought you were going to scold me for what I just did.”

Olivia pouted cutely, saying I was really mean, and sat close beside me. I really just had something to tell her.

“What is it you want to tell me, Abel?”

“Nothing major, but we talked about our past there.”

    “Um… what past?”

“The time we spent at the magic tower.”

    “W-why bring that up?”

She was visibly flustered. Her eyes darted around, and she fidgeted with her fingers. I gently took her hand to calm her down.

“I told them because it was necessary.”

    “Necessary? Our past? To whom?”

“To those girls. And to me too.”

“Hmm, so two timelines are overlapping in Abel’s mind…”

“What do you think? Does that make sense to you?”

After pondering for a while, Olivia nodded slightly.

“I understand the gist of it. I see why the Dragon Lord said that.”

Her index finger tapped repeatedly on the back of her other hand.

“First of all, I… I mean, not me. The me before I took control. No, that sounds awkward. I mean Olivia right before I emerged.”

“I understand what you mean. Go on.”

“Yes, Abel. Anyway, the Olivia from that time killed all versions of herself from other timelines except me, right?”

    “That’s right.”

“Then she went back in time herself and followed all her previous actions.”

I wasn’t sure if “going back in time” was the right expression, but since Olivia herself said it, it must be correct.

“That’s why causality became ambiguous. The result became the cause, and the cause became the result. To the point where it’s impossible to tell what happened first.”

Olivia’s conclusion matched exactly what Ancient had reached. Since these two came to the same conclusion, it’s safe to consider this the correct answer.

“That’s what it means for two timelines to overlap. Before cause and effect intertwined, the original causality exists only in Abel’s mind.”

“Is that why my memories are so vague?”

“You might be confused between what you experienced and what you didn’t, but they all actually happened. They’re just futures that no longer exist.”

A soft palm rested on my head. Olivia stroked my hair gently. Then her hand slowly moved downward. Before I knew it, Olivia’s hand was caressing my eyes.

Past my eyes, past my nose, across my cheek, her hand came to rest on my lips, lightly tracing them. Compared to Olivia’s fingers, my lips felt like rough sandpaper.

“But that’s a contradiction. The contradiction of having memories of events that never happened. So… probably because of that contradiction, the other three were able to interfere with their past selves.”

“And if you hadn’t done what you did, even if their souls had transcended human limitations, it would have been impossible?”

“If they believed they could do it, they probably could have. As you know, I faced those three directly. Well, strictly speaking, it wasn’t me who faced them, but I have those memories intact.”

If I hadn’t released the time lock and appeared before them when I did, Olivia would undoubtedly have killed the rest of them. It was truly a close call.

“I can’t say for sure about Serena since she just cuts things, but the other two could have done it if they believed they could. That’s the meaning of the realm we reached.”

Olivia’s scent suddenly filled my nostrils. Somehow she had wrapped her arms around my back and buried her face in my chest. The force pushed me down onto the bed.

“But without me, reaching such a realm would have been impossible in the first place, so what you said isn’t entirely wrong.”

Olivia climbed on top of my fallen body. Supporting herself with both arms beside my face, she looked down at me from above. Her heavy breasts hung downward.

I was completely bewildered by how the situation had developed. My hands remained still, and Olivia was straddling my abdomen. I felt too choked up to speak.

    “Wondering why I’m doing this?”

A sweet voice sounded right in front of me.

“I’m such a lewd woman that I simply can’t hold back anymore.”

With a chuckling laugh, she lightly licked my earlobe.

“But since Abel said we should all do it together, I have no choice but to use this method.”

Her lips pressed close to my ear. Then she began counting down in a whisper.

    “Three… two… one…”

    —CRASH!

The moment Olivia counted one, blue lightning struck the black mana barrier surrounding us. The impact destroyed half the room and burned the remaining half black.

The scorched walls and floor emitted wisps of smoke. An acrid smell filled the air. Olivia whispered one last thing before removing her lips from my ear.

    “See?”

I turned my head. Beyond the wrecked mansion, Serena, Charlotte, and Christine were entering the room. Each wore a fierce expression.

That was a natural reaction, considering they had just seen Olivia trying to pounce on me.

“What the hell are you doing, you heat-crazed beast?”

…What happened to learning dragon language?
