In fact, there used to be a bakery similar to Sujeong-dang.

It became a famous landmark in Daejeon, gaining such renown that any Korean visiting Daejeon or taking the KTX from Seoul to Busan would feel obligated to stop by and buy a mango or strawberry siru cake.

The prices were reasonable compared to the quality, and they did a lot of charitable work. Above all, their genuine care for customers was evident, eventually attracting people who would travel hours just to taste their bread.

Now they’ve become so successful that they’ve opened chain stores nationwide.

Kim Sujeong probably created her bakery after being inspired by that place.

So the first thing to consider is whether her shop has any competitive edge in comparison.

    There are many similar stores.

Especially in the bakery business where the barrier to entry is low, without something special beyond just taste, it’s nearly impossible to establish yourself in an existing red ocean market.

If she didn’t have the advantage of ingredients from the Rift Dimension and was just living an ordinary life, I would have told her not to be crazy and stick to what she was already doing.

But the reason I didn’t discourage her was because I had confidence.

    Confidence that she would succeed.

First of all, fruits from the Rift Dimension are naturally high-grade.

High-grade fruits have higher sugar content and better taste.

They’re fresher and less likely to have defects.

They’re delicious just eaten plain, so when mixed with other ingredients, they can’t help but taste good.

And then she adds Farming Sugar to the mix.

This is nothing short of a cheat key.

When you establish sweetness as the base flavor, it’s hard to ruin the taste.

The important thing is how to get people to try it once, even if it tastes good, but that’s the easiest problem in planning this Sujeong-dang business.

Just uploading it to YouTube would have people lining up to try it.

That’s how incredibly popular Farming Company and Farmer Hunter are right now.

And after they try it, there’s no need to worry further.

It’s nearly impossible to quit after trying it once.

Sure, bread might be delicious, but would it be worth visiting Sujeong-dang in Gyeonggi-do again?

    When it costs 50,000 won?

Especially for people living in rural areas, the round-trip transportation costs would be even higher.

But the important point isn’t whether it tastes good enough to justify that—it’s that Farming Sugar is used in it.

“Oppa, but doesn’t this need to pass a drug test? Doesn’t it feel like a drug at this point?”

“It could be classified as a drug since it’s addictive. But that just means it tastes that good.”

Surprisingly, in Farming World, Farming Sugar was classified as a narcotic.

It’s not the kind of drug that makes you feel high or hallucinate, but because it manages blood sugar levels and tastes good, Farming Sugar was used as an ingredient in narcotic foods and alchemy.

While it’s different from what people typically think of as drugs, considering the characteristics of Farming Sugar, the word “drug” inevitably comes to mind.

Once you’ve tasted it, you can’t go back to regular sugar.

Especially the blood sugar management effect that lasts for 8 hours creates such a strong reverse sensation that if possible, there’s no reason not to eat Farming Sugar.

If that’s not addiction, what is?

For ordinary people, Farming Sugar is currently impossible to obtain even if they want it.

Despite efforts to release quite a large quantity, when the entire nation—and even people from other countries—are trying to buy it, how could it be easy to get?

So positive reviews keep coming in, and people want to taste it, but the only way to get it is to buy a Star Siru at the newly opened Sujeong-dang.

You eat a delicious cake, and instead of raising your blood sugar, it regulates it and makes you feel good.

The feeling of eating something special and pleasant at a relatively affordable price makes you think, “I could enjoy this too.”

And then you come back for more.

As soon as Farming Day ended, Kim Sujeong returned to Earth and prepared for the business.

She hired staff and quickly prepared to open.

Setting up the infrastructure didn’t take long.

There was no need to build a large factory; the ingredients would come from the Rift Dimension, and they just needed to set up one large store in a department store where employees could make and sell the products.

“Farming Company has quite a lot of employees now?”

“Dad’s been working hard as basically a figurehead CEO.”

With both Kim Sujeong and me focusing so much on the Rift Dimension, it would be fair to say that Farming Company was essentially run by Dad.

Although Dad also runs Farming Distribution, he manages Farming Company in his spare time, and with Farming Cosmetics and now Sujeong-dang, the number of employees belonging to Farming Company was already approaching several hundred.

Including Farming Distribution, the number of full-time employees easily exceeded 1,000.

Farming Company’s operating principle was simple:

    Pay well and work hard.

Since it wasn’t money coming out of my own account and could be deducted from sales revenue, there was no need to skimp on labor costs.

There’s no need to make a large profit from products made with these resources when money is already overflowing, and Earth’s currency doesn’t hold much meaning for me.

As a result, Farming Company employees gave positive reviews.

And so, like lightning striking, Sujeong-dang opened in less than 7 days.

    – Farming Company’s Sujeong-dang Opens!

    – I tried the Star Siru made with Star Fruits that only grow in the Rift Dimension!

    – 8-hour wait? Limited to 1,000 sales per day!

    – 50,000 won each. Cheap for Farming Company.

As expected, it became a hot topic on YouTube and elsewhere as soon as it opened.

Even without specifically commissioning advertisements, perhaps due to the expectations built up by Farming Company, ordinary people lined up to buy and immediately uploaded videos, which attracted many views, so YouTubers and everyone else came to wait in line.

    Sujeong-dang was fair to everyone.

Whether you were a famous celebrity, YouTuber, or politician, everyone had to wait in line.

While they didn’t prevent people from waiting in line on behalf of others, purchases were limited to one per person to maintain the meaning of the 1,000 item limit.

The only people who received special treatment were VIP and VVIP members.

If they wanted to eat Star Siru, they could make a reservation and skip the line, with VIPs allowed to purchase up to 5 items and VVIPs up to 10.

    – Isn’t it too much to give special treatment only to VIPs and VVIPs? They’re Farming Company VIPs, not Sujeong-dang VIPs.

    – Sujeong-dang belongs to Farming Company..

    – Still, I think everyone should wait in line equally.

    – If you’re jealous, just pay 10 billion won

    – It’s not like you pay the full 10 billion. You pay 1 billion for the membership.

    – Why don’t you join then?

    – Yeah.. I’m short 9 billion won.

    – Anyone want to split it for 100 million each?

    Star Fruits.

While they were discovered in the orchard that was part of the previous owner’s legacy when I first started in the Rift Dimension, they’re not particularly difficult to find.

That’s not to say they’re easy to obtain either, but compared to practical resources like Bratrium, they’re just one of the rare fruits that fruit enthusiasts would go out of their way to find in Farming World.

They don’t even belong to the category of the rarest, hardest to find, and best-tasting fruits, so when I first saw them, I just thought “Oh” and moved on, but Kim Sujeong improved them and sells them.

If it were me, I would have just sold them to a fruit shop to earn some Farm, but seeing how they’ve become such a sensation on Earth with people gathering around, it feels strange to see the speculations about what would happen if Farming World came to reality actually coming true.

Of course, there’s talk about it being just opening hype or promotional buzz, but as more menu items are added, the lines will only get longer.

If worst comes to worst, we could mix in some truly addictive resources, but there’s no need for that.

    “Drugs, huh…”

I hadn’t given it much thought, but as the fields grow larger, I’ll need to cultivate drugs too.

In Farming World, various issues caused drug effects to be reduced to 1% for users, but that wouldn’t be the case here.

It’s not that I want to get high and hallucinate, but ultimately, narcotic plants are good for painkillers and various medications.

In reality, numerous pharmaceutical regulations and permits would be required, but in the Rift Dimension, my word is law, and no one else can know what I’m growing, so it doesn’t matter.

“Might need it for something unforeseen.”

With alchemy and cooking available, the options for use are wide open.

Having a diverse range of resources on hand can be useful for trading, even if that wasn’t the original intention.

After several days of ever-increasing wait times and growing popularity for Sujeong-dang,

Kim Sujeong’s promotional video for Sujeong-dang was belatedly uploaded to the Farmer Hunter YouTube channel.

It seemed odd to upload a promotional video about a week after opening, but given the already high popularity, the video only added fuel to the fire.
