These are roughly the rewards I received for completing this quest.
“So many. So very many.”
It’s only natural that the rewards are substantial, given how difficult the biome was to conquer.
With so many SSS-grade ability selection vouchers, I’m feeling quite content.
“Alright. Line up. Form a line.”
First, I needed to establish priorities.
The SSS+ grade abilities I’m giving out are strictly limited to life skills.
I’ve decided to trust the farm employees and give them SSS+ grade abilities, but that doesn’t mean I should give everything away. The SSS+ grade abilities should be used to strengthen my own capabilities in this Rift Dimension, which might extend beyond the level 10 biome or even further. Only then will there be benefits that trickle down to the farm employees. If I give everything away first, my own growth might stagnate.
So naturally, the SSS+ grade abilities are for me, and the lower-grade abilities will go to the employees.
In that respect, having only two SSS+ grade life skill selection vouchers is somewhat disappointing.
There are many abilities that need to be distributed.
“First, Kim Sujeong needs cooking and farming at SSS+ grade. Jihyun needs alchemy at SSS+ grade, and Kim Sol-i needs architecture at SSS+ grade. I also need to learn enhancement at SSS+ grade.”
If asked which is less important, I could honestly say none of them are.
The abilities I’ve decided to give out are essentially ones I should learn myself but am distributing to others.
Farming. Cooking. Alchemy. Architecture.
If I had to classify them, architecture could perhaps be given later, but that’s only from a practical standpoint. Considering my plans for decorating the farm, architecture definitely needs to be at the highest SSS+ grade.
The problem is that I only have two SSS+ grade ability selection vouchers.
So I needed to establish an order.
“I won’t be giving out temporary SSS- grade abilities. The vouchers are too valuable for that.”
Eventually, I’ll give everyone SSS+ grade abilities.
Using selection vouchers for temporary SSS- grade abilities would be too wasteful.
While I received many after clearing the level 5 biome, the Dense Chaos Energy biome, each of these vouchers would cause a global sensation if auctioned back on Earth.
Just thinking about how much benefit I’ve gained from the Ice Spirit Liquor I purchased with a single SS grade ability selection voucher, there’s nothing more foolish than wasting these.
“Yes. I’ll follow whatever you decide, oppa.”
Kim Sujeong seemed content with her Magic SS+ grade and didn’t appear particularly expectant.
Well, she already has SS and S+ grades in farming and cooking, so she might think not much would change with an upgrade.
But that’s the naive thinking of someone who hasn’t experienced an SSS+ grade ability.
“I’ll give Jihyun the alchemy SSS+ first.”
“Thank you, boss.”
Lee Jihyun is a crucial talent for our farm.
Without Jihyun’s buff potions before my enhancement in this biome…
Her potions were quite effective in the level 2 Steam Forest biome as well, and many of the products our Farming Company sells are created through Jihyun’s alchemy, generating direct results.
So if I’m going to upgrade someone’s ability to SSS+ grade, it makes sense to start with Jihyun.
Actually, this is somewhat contradictory to what I said earlier since I’m using an SS+ grade life skill selection voucher on Jihyun and then overwriting it.
But that decision was made before I considered using SSS- grade or higher ability selection vouchers on farm employees.
[Upgrading ‘Lee Jihyun’s’ Alchemy to SSS+ grade.]
“Wow!”
Jihyun’s expression changed from blank to beaming as she hugged me.
“Thank you, boss. I’ll be your slave for life. Use me whenever you need.”
“…”
Jihyun is obsessed with alchemy.
She’s the person who has adapted to and enjoys farm life more than anyone else.
In this rather simple world, she spends her time downloading and watching Earth content, and her only work is alchemy.
Kim Sujeong and I often say over meals that if it weren’t for alchemy, she’d probably be locked away in some laboratory for years developing new medicines.
So Jihyun deserves this.
“Keep working hard for our farm.”
“Yes! Can I go experiment right away?”
Like a child who received a Children’s Day gift, Jihyun ran up to the second floor.
These days, apart from entrusting her with resources I’ve gathered from biomes for Farming Company to sell, I don’t give Jihyun any guidance on what to create.
There’s no need to give her orders because Jihyun studies, develops, and invests in her abilities on her own, and she often surprises me by creating things I never even mentioned.
Even during the Farming World era, she would create various potions and buff elixirs I’d never seen before, developing combinations and explaining how to use them in different situations. She doesn’t just use alchemy as a sub-skill to earn money or Farm, but develops it into a noticeable combat power for hunting content.
That’s why I don’t need to tell her what to do.
And that’s also why I trusted her with the SSS+ grade ability first.
Seeing her receive the SSS+ grade ability, Kim Sujeong and Kim Sol-i looked up at the second floor with envious eyes.
Only one SSS+ grade ability remained.
Although I promised to give them all the abilities I mentioned, waiting for an uncertain time can be a bit painful.
“Next is…”
Cooking. Farming. Architecture.
With a 66% chance based on numbers alone, Kim Sujeong had expectant eyes.
But I chose Kim Sol-i.
[Upgrading ‘Kim Sol-i’s’ Architecture to SSS+ grade.]
“Architecture is the most important. You know that, right? Do well.”
“Yes. Trust me, master.”
Kim Sol-i jumped into my arms and hugged me tight.
If I were to prioritize practicality, I should have chosen farming.
Farming is the foundation of the Farming World and a content we must carry from beginning to end.
But I postponed it because the rewards from hunting are currently so substantial.
While farming is important, we have enough resources right now that we don’t need to upgrade farming to SSS+ grade, thanks to the rewards we get from exploring the Rift Dimension.
So to take the first step toward my ultimate goal of perfectly decorating this vast Rift Dimension at SSS+ grade, I chose architecture.
Plus, Kim Sol-i is just as dedicated to this farm as Jihyun.
Or more precisely, she’s dedicated to decorating the Farming World, which is essentially the same thing.
The standards for artistic sense are subjective, making it difficult to evaluate as good or bad, but at least Kim Sol-i is the most suitable person I’ve seen for decorating the Farming World with sensibility.
Her taste and sense match my style perfectly, so regardless of what others think, everything looks perfect to me.
So to support her sense with a perfect ability…
Combined with her experience playing Farming World, even though it’s her first time using an SSS+ grade ability, Kim Sol-i will adapt quickly and use it well.
“Tsk. Can’t be helped. But I acknowledge Jihyun unnie and Sol-i unnie.”
Kim Sujeong looked disappointed but not resentful.
It seems her SS+ grade magic is still effective.
Lately, she’s been doing just enough farming and cooking in her daily routine and going hunting frequently.
I beckoned to Kim Sujeong.
“I will give you SSS+ grade farming and cooking when I get them, but until then, don’t neglect your duties. I’ll specially give you one SSS- grade ability. Choose whatever you want.”
“…Are you serious, oraboni?”
“That sparkly-eyed look is disgusting, so stop it.”
“Can I take fire magic then? Having two magic abilities increases my mana stat, right?”
“Probably?”
The more abilities, the better.
Learning farming now and overwriting it later with SSS+ grade would be wasteful, but having another combat ability might not be a bad choice for Kim Sujeong, who needs to act as the farm’s bodyguard when I’m away.
Raising her mana stat by adding another magic ability might be better than spending farming points on stats.
“Then I’ll go dual.”
“Alright.”
[Upgrading ‘Kim Sujeong’s’ Fire Magic to SSS- grade.]
“Ohhh!! My mana grade increased!”
“Happy?”
“Yes! Enough that I don’t need farming and cooking!”
“You still need those. I’m giving them to you so you can work like a dog.”
“Woof woof! I’ll work hard!”
Kim Sujeong ran off immediately.
Looking at the empty cabin, I felt reassured despite using ability selection vouchers on others for the first time.
“Still plenty left.”
I suppose it’s because there are still many rewards left for myself.
