    Ch.229Dragon Mythology (1)

    Under the light, six Gallergorn.

Three Gallergorn with green scales, White Gallergorn Nel Germa, Ham Oort with his wings nearly recovered. And Adhigh Orr with red makeup.

On top of the Gallergorn, I could see familiar figures.

The Sky Mother transformed into a Wendigo was riding on Ham Oort, and the mutant screamer PS-111 was on Nel Germa.

At the front before them, I see a small pink balloon on Adhigh. It’s No. 26, nicknamed the Demon of the Deep.

Everyone had gathered here to help me who had left alone.

    “Odd Grad” “Commands!” “Attack!” “Attack!”

The black dragon kept issuing orders, but none of the creatures followed him. Among the confused creatures, a thin-bodied White Gallergorn stepped forward.

“Great Odd Grad” “Black” “Enemy” “Star color” “Enemy” “Strong”

“No!” “Enemy” “Just a traitor” “Lies!”

“Kin” “Lies” “Impossible” “Color” “Lies” “Impossible”

According to the setting, Red Gallergorn is a mythical being that commands all Gallergorn. It’s one of the few creatures that can instill instinctive fear in the Gallergorn, who are called dragons of the universe.

‘Of course, Adhigh hasn’t completed his growth yet.’

His dragon power is extremely weak compared to the Red Gallergorn I’ve seen. His power is even inferior to Odd Grad’s.

Yet the reason the Gallergorn herd is wavering is only one.

Because of the evil deeds of the black tyrant, Odd Grad.

He abused his kin and starved them. He killed weak offspring, ignoring the resistance of the Gallergorn who have strong kinship.

If he had acted like a “normal Gallergorn,” the herd would have obeyed his commands. After all, he was the leader who had protected them until now.

But he was never a good king to the Gallergorn.

“Odd Grad” “Emotions” “Understanding” “Difficult” “Explanation” “Request”

    “!”

Moreover, the means to control his kin has now disappeared from his possession.

His treasure, the ring that hides emotions, fell off along with his foreleg when I attacked him with my bone scythe arm.

And that ring is currently in my possession. I gripped it tightly with the small hand on my chest.

    “You!”

Odd Grad growls as he sees this.

He has been exploiting the characteristic of Gallergorn who cannot lie, but now it’s impossible. It wasn’t hard to imagine how the other Gallergorn would view him now that they knew his true intentions.

‘They probably see him as completely insane.’

Or they would see him as a vicious tyrant who enslaved and massacred his own kind.

The thin-bodied White Gallergorn who defied Odd Grad continued to emit thought waves.

“Kin” “Stronger kin” “Follow” “New leader” “Decision” “Needed”

After clearly expressing his refusal to fight, he retreated. The other Gallergorn followed him and backed away.

The only enemies left were Odd Grad’s companions.

Is it a coincidence? Since one died from my previous attack, there were only six companions left.

Coincidentally, we also have six beings that can fly.

‘If we count those riding on their backs, we have more.’

No more thoughts or conversations are needed.

From now on, power decides everything.

I kicked off the ground and flew up.

The wound on my neck hadn’t fully healed, but the carapace formed when I transformed into the “Hunter’s Emblem” had stopped the bleeding. I need nutrients to fully recover.

The genetic essence of the Black Gallergorn should be enough.

I flapped my wings, which glowed with red blood-like patterns, and approached Odd Grad.

My wings had become much larger and stronger than before due to the emblem effect. Odd Grad was surprised to see me flying toward him faster than expected.

    “Worthless spawn!”

Sticking close to him, I swung my tail with acceleration. The pincer at the end of my tail flew toward him like a massive iron hammer, making a terrifying sound.

Whether he judged he couldn’t block it even with his precognitive ability, Odd Grad chose to dodge. One of his black wings bent slightly, and his body tilted greatly. The pincer on my tail grazed the horns on his head as it passed by.

Having narrowly avoided my attack, he immediately fired a psychic breath. It was certainly faster than mine, which required charging time.

But his breath could no longer cause me significant damage.

Enhanced body from the emblem, plus the mimicry scale effect. Currently, my body is almost completely immune to psychic power.

Of course, I couldn’t avoid the physical force of his breath. After pushing my body back significantly, he quickly retreated.

While Odd Grad and I fought, the battle between his companions and my allies had also begun.

Nel Germa, showing above-average combat skills, flew between Odd Grad’s companions. PS-111 on his back continuously fired navy energy bullets of the Demolisher from its mouth.

One of the companions was hit by the material-decomposing bullets on the wing tip and urgently warned his comrades. The clustered enemies quickly scattered, just as they did when fighting me.

“The enemies have scattered as planned. Everyone, please prepare.”

    “Understood”

One of the scattered enemies flew toward Ham Oort’s group of Green Gallergorn. He probably intended to tear apart the weaker enemies first and quickly rejoin his comrades.

But my allies wouldn’t fall for such an obvious attack. The Queen of Pure White, whose injuries were not yet fully healed, blocked the white companion’s path.

The Sky Mother riding on her back used the “Ice Wraith” she had prepared in advance. The White Gallergorn that had been flying well was infected by the Wendigo’s madness and began targeting her.

The crazed Gallergorn fired a breath at her, but she boldly avoided the purple beam. This was because she jumped into the air while holding onto Ham Oort’s horn on his head.

The beam missed, and she fell toward the ground according to natural law, but Ham Oort skillfully turned his head to catch her.

    “Are you alright?”

“…Would you stop if I said I was?”

“Small being” “You know” “I cannot do that”

    “Tch, let’s finish this quickly!”

The Ice Beast and Queen of Pure White combo pulled back, taking the maddened companion with them. Meanwhile, the other Green Gallergorn moved to support Nel Germa and PS-111.

“If you follow my instructions, your life won’t be in danger.”

    “Adult” “Trust” “I” “Trust”

    “I” “Pain” “Dislike”

“There’s a 63% probability that you’ll end up with just a severed tail or holes in your wings, so you can trust me.”

    “Suddenly” “Uneasy”

“Nel Germa” “Points out” “Truth” “All” “Saying” “Unnecessary”

The combination of green and white Gallergorn and the mechanical creature was responsible for two companions.

There were still three enemy companions left.

But their situation was not good at all. They had to face my friends, No. 26 and Adhigh Orr, who had been working together for a long time.

Perhaps due to their experience of fighting together often since the space city, the two were toying with the three White Gallergorn companions.

Adhigh, whose excellent flying skills were already his strength, was moving across the battlefield at a terrifying speed. None of the Gallergorn here could chase after him, who was as fast as a bullet fired from a railgun.

Having failed to chase him, the companions fired psychic breaths wildly to try to shoot down Adhigh. But No. 26, our best psychic power expert, was riding on him.

Whenever he waved his tentacles like a conductor on the red meteor, the direction of the beams would bend or the energy would simply dissipate.

When the companions’ attacks were nullified, Adhigh would change direction and charge at them in return. With his Red Armor activated on his head, he rammed into one of the companions.

His charging power was truly enormous, combining near-sonic speed with horns that would never be damaged. He completely penetrated the companion’s abdomen.

The White Gallergorn, with a hole in its stomach as if hit by a 4m bullet, died instantly. No. 26, who had been clinging tightly to his back, popped out.

    “Fun! Do it again!”

    “No” “Messy”

    Just as I expected.

Their teamwork was perfect, as if they had discussed how to fight before coming here.

    “You!” “Where are you looking!”

While I was watching them fight, Odd Grad launched a surprise attack. He thrust his head forward to stab my chest with his horns.

Clever as he is, he’s targeting a different part after seeing that I didn’t die even with my neck half-severed.

At any other time, it would have been a good judgment, but not now.

The only way for him to survive is to flee from this place.

    ‘Though I won’t let him.’

I slightly twisted my body to avoid his charge. His horn only managed to scratch the surface of my chest carapace.

Having failed his attack, he tried to quickly pull his head back, but this time I was faster. My combat arms grabbed his horns.

    “!”

The Predatory Leech’s hands activated, and his energy was rapidly absorbed through the horns.

He knows that even a large creature like a White Gallergorn wouldn’t last long and would become a mummy if caught in my hands. He fired a psychic breath while his horns were caught, trying to escape from me.

Due to the impact, my body was pushed back rapidly. I tried to hold on by applying force with my hands, but I failed as the horns broke.

“I will kill you!” “I will kill you!” “Definitely” “I will kill you!”

The appearance of the male Gallergorn who had lost all his horns, which could be considered his pride, in an instant looked truly pathetic. Seeing the horns in my hands crumble to dust, he scattered thought waves of anger wildly.

“You alone!” “Absolutely” “Absolutely” “I won’t forgive!”

Having completely lost his reason due to anger, he spread his wings wide and rose into the sky.

    ‘Escape?’

    His presence rapidly recedes.

I quickly checked how the kids were fighting. Unless the Gallergorn watching us from afar joined in, it didn’t seem like they would lose.

In fact, the battle situation was more favorable to us. I felt reassured and pursued Odd Grad.

As I flew up, fluttering my black cloak with red patterns, I could feel his energy.

    ‘What is he doing?’

Massive energy was emanating from his body. It was like when he used “Maelstrom” to create a psychic storm.

‘He should know it’s useless against me….’

As I thought that, certain images quickly flashed before my eyes.

Since I’m in the Hunter’s Emblem state and have lost my sight, there’s only one case where I can see images.

    It’s the Predator Sense.

The characteristic that tells me the future by aggregating environmental elements is warning me. Thanks to the emblem effect, the future images shown by the Predator Sense were much more detailed.

The massive energies gathered around Odd Grad. They are not meant to be fired into the sky to create a localized supernatural storm.

That black dragon’s purpose is solely to annihilate me.

The energies gathered according to his will gradually condensed and soon changed to resemble a familiar energy. Red diamond-colored energy, Dragon Power.

    ‘How?’

He is an aged Black Gallergorn, not a Red Gallergorn. He’s not a special individual like Adhigh.

Moreover, when I examined him with insight last time, he was clearly a Black Gallergorn. That means something new has happened while fighting me, but I don’t know the cause.

‘Could it be from drinking my blood?’

My body contains a large amount of White Gallergorn genetic essence. Perhaps he also took some of that essence by drinking my blood.

‘No. That’s not important right now.’

The Dragon Power created by him was much more unstable than Adhigh’s. Dragon Power should be bright red diamond color like when Adhigh uses it, but Odd Grad’s power was closer to purple with a reddish tinge.

That means it’s mixed with psychic power.

And that impure compound became a massive beam and poured down on my head.

“I was hit by Odd Grad’s attack.”

    “I died.”

The last thing I saw before the Predator Sense ended was an attack technique that I also know.

    ‘…Star Flame.’

It’s one of the main techniques of Red Gallergorn, similar in form to the bombardment of orbital weapons like the Lightning God.

    ‘But it’s very different.’

Since it’s an attack based on Dragon Power, it should be pure red, but the Star Flame I saw through the Predator Sense was closer to purple.

    ‘He’s at the boundary.’

I don’t know why Odd Grad is suddenly on the verge of growth, but his attack is also in an incomplete state.

The Star Flame fired by a true Red Gallergorn cannot be blocked, but not yet.

I stopped approaching him and prepared my psychic breath.

‘I need to push with maximum firepower.’

I need to pour in everything: the Hunter’s Emblem effect, the energy I just absorbed from Odd Grad, all of it.

For the first time since fighting the Imperial Mothership, my body entered its limit. All remaining energy was converted into psychic power, leaving only the minimum energy needed to protect my body.

Perhaps because I possessed more psychic power than the allowable limit, my black scales and carapace glowed with a light purple color. The monster’s tentacle part, which contained the most energy, glowed with a purple color more vivid than a beam.

    “Insignificant being!” “Receive judgment!”

The moment I fully charged my psychic power, he attacked.

The red-tinged purple sphere changed into a thin cylindrical shape and fell on my head. It feels slow because my senses are extremely sensitive, but it’s actually as fast as the speed of light.

Just before the deep purple beam touched my body.

My psychic power, with all my strength behind it, was also fired. When the beam I fired collided with the Star Flame, an enormous counter-force pressed down on my body.

    “Pain reduction activated!”

    ‘No! I can handle this!’

As expected, his attack is incomplete. If it had been a normal Star Flame, it would have disintegrated me without being pushed back at all.

Perhaps thanks to the emblem effect, the thickness of my breath was not inferior to the Star Flame. In fact, the incomplete Star Flame he fired was evenly matched with the psychic breath I was firing.

“I” “A being blessed by the stars!” “Never” “Will not lose!”

He also knew that he wasn’t overwhelming me and continued to put more power into the Star Flame.

The output is almost equal. The battle will be decided by which of us has more energy.

And he had a slight advantage over me with the Hunter’s Emblem.

    ‘Urgh!’

The power struggle between him and me began to tilt toward his victory. The intense heat of the Star Flame burned my head carapace. Despite having mimicry scales, my head carapace was gradually melting.

    ‘Just a little more…!’

His firepower is also gradually decreasing, perhaps because it’s his first time using Dragon Power. I somehow gritted my teeth and concentrated despite the pain of melting carapace and scales.

At that moment, I felt a strange sensation from the part where the scales had melted. It felt like small creatures like ants crawling, but strangely, it wasn’t unpleasant. That peculiar feeling extended outside my body, like fur blowing in the wind.

    ‘Huh?’

And it wasn’t just a feeling.

Somehow, worm-like things with connected sensations were growing wildly from the flesh inside the melted carapace.

    ‘What is this?’

It’s a strange thing. Even in the midst of pain due to the power struggle with Star Flame, I was concerned about the changes in my body.

The sensory worm-like things are not organs grown from my body. They’re not even material.

They were made of incomprehensible energy. It was a state where unknown energy was entangled with psychic power. As if someone had refined chaos into thin stem bundles.

    ‘Refined chaos… could it be?’

As soon as I became aware of the changes in my body, the worm-like things began to clump together. The hair-thin worm-like things clumped together and soon grew into tentacles as large as my infiltration tentacles.

The bundle of tentacles that formed at the wound site shot out at an incredible speed like an arrow leaving a bowstring. Those tentacles, extending endlessly like beams fired from a ship’s main gun, were heading toward Odd Grad.

    “?!”

When the tentacle attack flew toward him, he must have read the future and quickly terminated the Star Flame. The energy that was burning me immediately disappeared, and my psychic breath blew off one of his legs.

Despite the injury, he tried to quickly avoid the approaching energy tentacle bundle. He dodged most of them, but one energy tentacle penetrated his tail. Having achieved its purpose, the tentacle bundle dissolved and disappeared in mid-air.

    “Kraaaak!”

For the first time, Odd Grad screamed. Even though he had only lost one tail, the pain must have been tremendous as he couldn’t even properly emit thought waves.

‘Whatever it is, now’s my chance.’

I flapped my still intact wings and flew toward him. He was also gradually falling, perhaps no longer in a mental state to maintain flight.

    “You!” “You!” “You!”

The pain, hatred, and various resentments uttered by the black dragon seep into me.

As the distance between him and me narrowed, one emotion was added to the thought waves.

It was surely the fear of death.

What is the black tyrant seeing now?

The appearance of AMorph flying with its mouth open? Or the future shown by the precognitive ability that has helped him so far?

“Great Odd Grad” “Never” “Will not be defea…”

His thought wave couldn’t continue to the end.

The corpse of the black dragon with its neck severed disappeared below the clouds.

[Zzz zzzzz zzzzz (Your future has ended)]

With the sun at my back, I swallowed his head in one bite.
