Ch.225[Chapter 225] Lord Dominic vs. Slaton Vex vs. The Slaughter King

Sir Dominic, Slaton Bex, and the King of Slaughter.

Each recognized that the others were formidable opponents.

Currently, Slaton Bex, being the largest, was the easiest target, but his terrifying regenerative abilities and unpredictable attacks from his amorphous body couldn’t be ignored.

The King of Slaughter was the most balanced of the three, displaying true final boss qualities with his health, damage output, and the tremendous attack range when wielding his greatsword.

Sir Dominic appeared to be the smallest and most insignificant of the three on the surface.

However, in Gachaland, size wasn’t particularly important.

    “Hmph.”

“Those eyes! That mouth! I want to tear them apart!”

Slaton Bex convulsed at the sight of Sir Dominic.

Sir Dominic was currently smiling so brightly that he hardly looked human, with eyes curved into long arcs and a mouth split thinly all the way to his cheekbones—bizarre and vicious even to demonic eyes.

Slaton Bex, unable to tolerate Sir Dominic’s smile any longer, charged at him.

But Sir Dominic, as if now accustomed to this, flipped Slaton Bex’s massive body backward with his shield.

It resembled a matador handling a bull.

However, even though Slaton Bex had lost his composure, he wasn’t going to fall for the same technique three times.

Slaton Bex stuck to the wall as he was thrown.

There was a splashing sound and the horrific noise of flesh adhering to the wall, but soon Slaton Bex kicked off from the wall and flew back toward Sir Dominic.

Slaton Bex was a mass of flesh thousands of times larger than Sir Dominic, and he intended to crush Sir Dominic with his ton-level weight.

But Sir Dominic was familiar with demons who fought with strength and weight class.

Sir Dominic, as if pleased by this development, sheathed his sword and gripped his shield with both hands.

He deflected the incoming Slaton Bex, absorbing the impact as much as possible, then planted one corner of the shield on the ground and pushed in the opposite direction.

Slaton Bex’s charging trajectory bent almost 90 degrees as he crashed into the wall.

    “You!”

Slaton Bex glared at Sir Dominic while devouring nearby creatures again.

“It’s nice that equipment doesn’t break in Gachaland.”

Sir Dominic muttered while caressing his shield.

Normally, he would have had to replace his shield seven times from such impacts, and his arm was slightly numb.

“I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you! Let’s see if you can still grin after you’re dead!”

Slaton Bex leaped toward Sir Dominic again.

But Slaton Bex’s rage and attack never reached Sir Dominic.

    “Are you ignoring me?”

The King of Slaughter extended his greatsword into Slaton Bex’s path.

Startled by the suddenly appearing greatsword, Slaton Bex kicked off the ground and jumped to the ceiling.

    “Nimble despite your size.”

The King of Slaughter praised Slaton Bex’s agility.

“But weaker than I expected. A common phenomenon in those who mindlessly increase their size.”

The King of Slaughter swung his greatsword from the same position he had been holding it.

A visibly compressed gust of wind flew from the greatsword toward Slaton Bex.

“If you can’t focus your strength and can only swing… I’m disappointed.”

Slaton Bex kicked off the ceiling once more to escape.

However, unable to completely avoid the incoming wind, another part of his body was severed.

Slaton Bex instinctively chomped down on more creatures.

    Others immediately filled the space.

    “…How annoying.”

The King of Slaughter’s expression was hidden behind his helmet, but if it had been visible, it would surely have shown irritation.

“It seems we need to stop that regeneration first…”

The King of Slaughter appeared to contemplate something briefly before issuing a command in a low voice.

“Catherine, Dexter. You need to die here.”

True to his title as the King of Slaughter?

    His command was cruel.

    “As Your Majesty commands.”

Catherine took a dagger from her thigh and slit her own throat.

With the death of Catherine, the boss of the second floor, the maids who served as the second floor’s forces disappeared.

“His Majesty has spoken! Everyone, sacrifice your lives to prove your loyalty to His Majesty!”

The guards raised their weapons and took each other’s lives.

After all the guards vanished in an instant, the guard captain, who had been giving orders from the terrace until the end, put a pistol to his temple and fired.

The guard captain, the boss of the first floor, presumably named Dexter, disappeared along with his guards.

    “Checkmate.”

The King of Slaughter raised his arm, declaring victory perhaps a bit prematurely.

“Now your precious regeneration is neutralized. You are nothing now.”

    “Kuk. How arrogant.”

Slaton Bex gritted his teeth at the King of Slaughter’s arrogance.

But Slaton Bex also knew that the King of Slaughter’s words were true.

Slaton Bex’s strength was his regenerative ability.

The reason he had been able to endure despite having his true name called was thanks to his remarkable regenerative abilities, but regeneration required energy.

Until now, he had substituted that energy by devouring nearby creatures, but even that avenue was now blocked.

Of course, regeneration wasn’t Slaton Bex’s only strength, but his power and size were useless against the combat techniques of Sir Dominic and the King of Slaughter.

In the end, Slaton Bex had no choice but to acknowledge his defeat.

“Fine. It seems my chances of winning are approaching zero.”

“Ah, there’s nothing more to eat!”

    “Not enough! Not enough!”

All of Slaton Bex’s mouths wailed as they sensed defeat.

    “I have a request.”

    Slaton Bex’s largest face spoke.

“If possible, kill me with one strike here.”

Slaton Bex’s flesh parted in lumps, revealing a crimson jewel.

The jewel was pulsating like a living heart—apparently Slaton Bex’s heart.

“You can show that much mercy to one who fought to the end, can’t you?”

    “…Very well.”

The King of Slaughter raised his greatsword.

But the greatsword was soon stopped by someone’s shout.

“Stop! Don’t listen to those words, King of Slaughter!”

The King of Slaughter turned his head to look in the direction of the voice.

There stood Sir Dominic, veins bulging in his neck, shouting with all his might toward the King of Slaughter.

    “Stop right now!”

    Sir Dominic shouted again.

“That demon has eaten part of your dungeon!”

    “So what?”

The King of Slaughter asked Sir Dominic.

“The dungeon will be restored anyway. When the intruder disappears.”

    “That’s not the issue!”

Sir Dominic shouted at the King of Slaughter.

“If you destroy that core and kill Slaton Bex now, he’ll be banished immediately! With part of your dungeon still inside him!”

Sir Dominic cried out that it might never be restored.

    “…What?”

The King of Slaughter couldn’t understand what Sir Dominic was saying.

What was this small knight trying to say?

“Slaton Bex! Slaton Bex! Slaton Bex!”

Instead of explaining his concerns verbally to the King of Slaughter, Sir Dominic demonstrated through action.

As Sir Dominic continued to call out Slaton Bex’s true name, the jewel heart Slaton Bex possessed gradually turned black.

“Stop! You mortal- Stop! My name- Stop! You insolent thing, you- Stop!”

Slaton Bex tried to interrupt Sir Dominic’s naming by constantly speaking, but each time his true name was called, all Slaton Bex could do was howl for him to stop.

    “Slaton Bex!”

After his true name was called approximately thirty-five times, Slaton Bex vomited everything inside him in the form of excrement.

    “…Ugh! This is too disgusting!”

“I don’t want to eat. I don’t want to eat!”

Among them were the fifth floor bosses Antre and Antri,

“…It’s good to see you, even like this.”

    “Though you look terrible.”

And the third and fourth floor bosses, John Doe and Jane Doe.

“It’s still not enough! I need help!”

Sir Dominic, panting from shouting too much, said to the King of Slaughter.

“Beat that evil demon with your greatsword! Until nothing more comes out!”

“S-stop! Stop it! How dare mere mortals- blech!”

    “Slaton Bex!”

Sir Dominic called out the true name again, cutting off Slaton Bex’s words.

The King of Slaughter maintained an inscrutable silence as he watched all sorts of dungeon structures and creatures flowing out of Slaton Bex.

And finally, the King of Slaughter raised his greatsword as Sir Dominic had suggested.

“This humiliation, I won’t forget! Kuk!”

Slaton Bex’s enormous body flattened as it was struck by the flat of the greatsword.

A dungeon pillar that had been stuck in Slaton Bex’s throat popped out.

    “M-must eat. Must eat again…”

Slaton Bex wildly swung a grotesque arm to pick up what he had spat out.

But before he could bring them to his mouth, the greatsword severed Slaton Bex’s arm.

With no more arms to pick up and eat what he had expelled, Slaton Bex writhed in unspeakable agony.

It felt like his intestines were being severed, his stomach dissolving, his lungs and heart twisting.

Of course, this might have been the screaming of Slaton Bex’s instinct, the instinct to devour something—

“Slaton Bex! You cursed greed! Go to Legion and beg for mercy!”

It was because of the words Sir Dominic spat out while cursing Slaton Bex.

Finally, seeing Slaton Bex’s crimson heart turn completely black like coal, Sir Dominic shouted to the King of Slaughter.

    “Kill him now!”

“…I don’t appreciate being commanded by a king, but just this once, I’ll heed your words.”

The King of Slaughter raised his greatsword with both hands, gripping it in reverse.

And with the tip pointing downward, he drove it into Slaton Bex’s black heart.

With a crumbling sound, the heart that had turned to coal crumbled into powder.

“No! No! I can’t die like this! I can’t be banished like this!”

Beneath Slaton Bex, his shadow transformed into numerous shadow arms that held Slaton Bex immobile.

And they began to press down as if trying to push Slaton Bex into the shadow.

“Sir Dominic, Sir Dominic! Be cursed! My grudge, pain, despair, sorrow, anger, darkness will reach you and curse you!”

Before being completely consumed by the shadow, Slaton Bex hurled a curse at Sir Dominic with all his might.

    “I like that, Slaton Bex.”

Sir Dominic looked at Slaton Bex with a grin.

“Ah, come to think of it, among the knowledge I received when coming to Gachaland was this.”

    Sir Dominic approached Slaton Bex.

“They said it makes other citizens feel bad so it’s best not to do it, but it doesn’t matter if it’s a demon, right?”

Sir Dominic looked down at Slaton Bex, who was now swallowed by the shadow except for one eye.

And he quickly sat down and stood up repeatedly over Slaton Bex.

    “Huh.”

The King of Slaughter exclaimed in admiration at Sir Dominic’s action.

Sir Dominic’s action was the most perfect teabagging the King of Slaughter had ever seen.

Slaton Bex, already swallowed by the shadow, could only watch Sir Dominic’s actions.

Slaton Bex had no mouth. But he wanted to scream.
