Ch. 224 Da-jeong Gets Fooled Again

Chapter 224: Da-jeong Gets Fooled Again

    R&e;ãd on ‍Ḱat‍Rεa‌d&i;&n;ɡCa&f;&e;

Despite my determination to sleep early last night, it was all for nothing.

I ended up being tormented by Chae-yoon unnie until around 4 AM before I could finally fall asleep.

Ugh… It really felt like I had become a pillow.

She wouldn’t stop squeezing my cheeks whenever she got the chance.

And then, at one point, she went, “Let’s see how well our youngest is eating!” and started poking my belly—I screamed like Tofu, “Nyaaaah?!”

Still, it was kind of fun.

Now that I think about it, I’ve slept with the other members before, but this was the first time I’ve ever shared a bed with Chae-yoon unnie.

The closest would’ve been the last day of our summer vacation at the villa.

But even then, unnie was sleeping at the far edge of the bed, so we weren’t that close.

Falling asleep after chatting loudly with everyone is different from falling asleep after talking one-on-one.

I think we talked about a lot yesterday.

Starting with silly little nothings, then moving on to our dreams…

We even had some pretty deep conversations, and it was really nice.

Despite sleeping late, I woke up fairly early this morning.

I was worried about oversleeping at someone else’s place, but thankfully, my usual habits kicked in, and I opened my eyes right away.

I think it was around 8 AM.

When I went out to the living room Auntie, Chae-yoon’s mom, was busy preparing breakfast.

She seemed surprised to see me up so early. “You’re awake already?” she asked.

Thanks to that, I got to help her out, so waking up early was worth it.

“Lulu, could you wake up that sleepyhead for me? If she doesn’t get up, you can beat her up.”

“Ah, no… I’ll just wake her normally.”

Once breakfast was ready, Auntie asked me to call Chae-yoon unnie, who was still asleep.

That last part was a little scary, though.

Anyway, when I went into the room to wake her up, I saw unnie sprawled out like a starfish.

She was sleeping with her mouth wide open, scratching her belly—so very Chae-yoon unnie of her.

But I was also worried she might catch a cold like that.

“Unnie, unnie. Wake up. Auntie says it’s time for breakfast.”

    “Nooo… Wanna sleep more…”

“I-If you don’t get up soon, Auntie’s gonna scold you!”

    “Don’t care…”

I tried shaking her to wake her up, but unnie resisted stubbornly.

Guess the title of Blue LUV’s laziest member isn’t just for show.

(Not that I think that—it’s just a meme among the Star Pieces.)

“Auntie made a really delicious breakfast. She even made galbijjim, your favorite!”

    “I’ll eat later…”

“I-It’ll get cold and taste bad!”

    “S’fine…”

Honestly, the fact that she’s responding this much means she’s probably already awake.

She just doesn’t want to get out of bed.

Waking her up isn’t going to be easy.

“If you want me to wake up… use informal speech and act cute… Then I’ll get up.”

“W-What do you mean ‘act cute’…?!”

While I was panicking over what to do, Chae-yoon unnie, still half-asleep, made this ridiculous demand.

Who asks someone to act cute just to wake them up?!

I wanted to turn around and leave right then, but I couldn’t bring myself to.

Because if I walked out now, Auntie would probably come in instead.

And we all know what happens next.

Unnie would 100% get rolled up in her blanket like a burrito.

    That’s just too pitiful.

“Uuu… D-Do you really have to wake up? If you don’t get up after this, I’m calling Auntie, okay?”

    “……”

    Nod. Nod.

After I laid out my terms, unnie kept her eyes closed but nodded.

Honestly, it was a little annoying… but what else could I do?

    Cough, cough.

After clearing my throat, I put on the most sickeningly sweet voice I could muster—something even I wouldn’t use on broadcast—and spoke.

“U-Unnie… Wake uuup~ Won’t you play with me? If you keep this up, I’ll get mad~?”

    Whoosh—

Then, as if by magic, unnie’s upper body shot straight up.

The way she moved was so unnatural, like something out of a horror movie, that I just blinked in shock.

And then, before I knew it, Chae-yoon unnie was staring at me with a sly grin, eyes wide open…

“Yesss, got our youngest’s cuteness all to myself~!”

She showed me her phone hidden under the blanket.

On the screen, it said: “Recording complete.”

Only then did I realize what had happened.

Like an angry Tofu, I lunged at her.

“NYAAAAH! Delete it! Delete it right nooow!”

“Nope, never. I’m gonna make backups and save them on an external hard drive and a USB.”

“That’s so mean, unnie! I was just trying to wake you up so Auntie wouldn’t scold you…!”

“Heheh~ You’re too nice for your own good, youngest.”

Waggling her finger with a villainous smirk, unnie looked every bit the evil mastermind.

This is so unfair! So unfair!

How could she abuse my kindness like this…?!

Chae-yoon unnie, you dummy! Sea cucumber! Sea anemone!

“What’s all this noise…? Park Chae-yoon, are you up?”

While I was glaring at unnie with all the fury in the world, Auntie came in, probably because we were taking too long.

Seizing the chance to escape, unnie quickly got up and scurried over to her.

“Yep, I’m up. So, what’s for breakfast, Mom?”

“I made galbijjim. You like that, don’t you?”

“Hehe, see? No matter what, Mom’s the only one who really looks out for her daughter!”

“Ugh, you’re so clingy. Quit hanging on me, it’s hot.”

No way, I can’t let her get away with this!

At the very least, I need to get revenge right now.

If unnie betrayed me, then I’ll go all out too!

    “A-Auntie…! Chae-yoon unnie, she—she…!”

“Hm? Lulu, what’s wrong? What’d this troublemaker do now?”

    “Uuu… Sh-She tricked me!”

Not sure how to explain the situation, I kept it vague.

Auntie blinked in confusion before shooting unnie a look that said, “You explain.”

“Oh, come on, ‘tricked’ is such a strong word. I just played a little prank as her unnie.”

“What did you do to make her this upset?”

“I just wanted to hear our youngest acting all cute. Wanna hear it too, Mom? It’s super rare!”

    “Oh? Let’s hear it!”

Unnie shrugged and was about to play the recording.

At that moment, I thought, “Perfect!”

If Auntie hears it, she’ll definitely take my side—I was sure of it.

“U-Unnie… Wake uuup~ Won’t you play with me? If you keep this up, I’ll get mad~?”

Then, at full volume, my most embarrassing moment echoed through the room.

Auntie listened, then stared straight at Chae-yoon unnie with piercing eyes…

“She’s so cute. Already adorable, but her cuteness is just perfect.”

    “…Huh?”

A satisfied smile spread across her face as she gushed over it.

The complete opposite of the reaction I expected. My voice came out dazed.

    Uhh… Auntie?

    Aren’t you gonna scold her?

“Right, right? Super cute, isn’t she? Our youngest.”

“Play it again. It’s nice to listen to.”

    …Auntie?!

    ***************

Putting the earlier incident behind us, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast.

Afterward, Chae-yoon unnie and I returned to the room and turned on the computer.

We were about to start a surprise guerilla stream.

Originally, most people planned to take a break after Chuseok, but since neither of us had anything special to do, we figured this was better.

No point in staying in the living room—it’d just make Uncle and Auntie feel like they had to entertain us.

“Everyone’s gonna be so surprised, right, unnie?”

“Probably. Nobody’d expect us to stream during the day on Chuseok.”

True, unnie usually streams around noon anyway, but nobody would’ve guessed she’d show up on the actual holiday.

Especially since we never told anyone I was staying at her family’s house for Chuseok.

If we appeared together, everyone would freak.

“The specs on this PC aren’t great, so we probably can’t play games.”

“It’s fine. We were just gonna chat for a bit anyway.”

Unnie sounded a little disappointed, but I didn’t mind.

I never expected her to have a high-end setup at her parents’ place—she barely visits.

Besides, guerilla streams are meant to be casual.

Today, we’d just talk with the Star Pieces and call it a day.

“Hey, scoot closer. The facial recognition’s being weird.”

    “Okay, unnie.”

We dragged over a wide two-seater chair and squeezed in side by side.

After a bit of setup, we went live.

    • ????????
    • ?
    • Wha—?
    • What’s happening?
    • Aren’t you off today?

Our avatars hadn’t loaded yet, but the chat was already exploding.

Just as expected, the Black Moon Squad was losing it.

Chae-yoon unnie rarely does surprise streams, so this was even more shocking.

“Hey, everyone. Having a good Chuseok?”

    • LEADER’S HEREEEEEE
    • A surprise stream lolol?
    • THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU
    • Today’s lunch = this stream

    Hehe. Everyone seemed thrilled.

Well, unexpected gifts are the most exciting.

“We were gonna take the day off, but we had nothing better to do. Figured we’d check in on the Black Moon Squad. Oh, and we’ve got a guest!”

    • Ooooh
    • Guest?!
    • A guerilla stream this stacked??
    • Who??
    • Is the mother-in-law joining?

    “Mother-in-law”? Really?

These Black Moon Squad folks have no shame.

Not sure if Auntie would be flattered or horrified if she heard that.

    …Actually, she’d probably love it.

“Alright, introducing today’s special guest! Come on out!”

Following unnie’s announcement, my avatar popped up next to hers on screen.

“Hi-Lu, everyone! I came to hang out too!”

    • WAAAAAAAAAAH
    • LULU-CHAN!!!!!!
    • I’M NOT LEAVING THIS STREAM IDC IF I DIE
    • MOM, I DON’T NEED FOOD TODAY!!!!!!!!

I waved cheerfully, and the chat erupted.

And just like that, our Chuseok guerilla stream began.

    “Heehee.”

…Wait, why does unnie’s smile look so ominous?

    Probably just my imagination.
