    Ch.210Prequel Chapter 15. The Last Supper (3)

    The champagne tasted absolutely wonderful.

So good it nearly brought tears to my eyes.

However, knowing that Ash suffered from chronic insomnia and always carried sleeping pills, I couldn’t bring myself to swallow this champagne.

In the end, I had to hold back my tears and spit the champagne back into the bottle through the straw.

“This champagne really tastes great. I always wondered why people spend so much money on it.”

“Right? It’s delicious. Worth blowing your entire fortune collecting it.”

“Hey, your entire fortune is a bit much… Eat some steak too, Jin. You made such a fuss about wanting special food.”

“I’m just whetting my appetite with an aperitif before eating.”

    He keeps pushing me…

It seemed he had sprinkled sleeping pills all over the food too.

Not being able to eat something that smelled this good was pure torture.

    I really felt like crying.

But since suddenly looking sad would seem strange, I decided to pretend I was feeling sentimental.

    “Everyone… they’re all dead now…”

“Yeah, tell me about it. I never imagined Gus would be the one.”

    “Have you tried recovering Knight?”

“Huh? Of course. But the chip was damaged and couldn’t be recognized. Gus has ridiculously strong hands… Oh, is your neck okay?”

    “Of course. It’s fine.”

Ash came across the table to touch my neck, and I frantically waved him off.

My neck was still slightly swollen.

That bastard Ash… no wonder he was strangely terrified and did nothing when Gus was choking me…

    Damn alien bastard.

“Jin. This huge ship is ours now.”

    “That’s what I said earlier.”

“Right. I wanted to emphasize it again. What do you want to do when we get back? Should we sell the ship and split the money? That would be enough to live comfortably for the rest of our lives.”

“That won’t work. We can’t sell this cargo ship. It’s soaked with our blood and sweat…”

How dare he think of killing us all and selling the cargo ship to destroy the evidence.

    Not a chance.

I couldn’t let him interfere with my grand dream of collecting and raising wealthy wolf cubs while cruising around in this cargo ship.

“By the way, Jin, what about the gun?”

    “What? The gun?”

“The gold-plated PPK Walther you shot at Gus. Seven-round magazine, you fired six shots, so there should be one bullet left, right?”

Ash asked while picking up steak with his fork.

He had figured out the gun model and ammunition capacity in that brief moment.

A chill ran down my spine, making me shudder.

    “Y-yes, that’s right.”

    “Where’s the gun?”

“Where would an American keep a gun? It’s obvious.”

    “…”

I tapped my slightly bulging pocket where I had put the AI speaker.

Damn. I forgot to bring the gun with me.

    I’m a disgrace to freedom-loving true Americans.

    Anyway, this confirmed it.

Ash didn’t know about the gun in the navigation room bathroom.

He believed I had a gun with one bullet left in my pocket, so he wouldn’t dare attack me recklessly.

“Ugh, my stomach. Ash, I need to use the bathroom. Must be from drinking on an empty stomach. It’s gurgling painfully.”

“Are you okay? Want me to pat your back?”

“Ah, it’s not coming up, it’s going down. I’ll pass.”

“But is your stomach really that bad? I didn’t hear any gurgling sounds?”

“What kind of thing is that to say to a lady… Why don’t you put your ear against my stomach and listen?”

    “Should I?”

“Ugh, pervert. I’ll be right back.”

Victory would be mine once I reached the bathroom.

I could grab the gun and blow his head off immediately.

Feeling I couldn’t hold off eating or drinking anymore, I stood up abruptly.

Suddenly I felt a jerk and my body was pulled backward.

    Ash had grabbed my wrist.

“Do you have cocaine hidden in the bathroom? Why are you so desperate to go there?”

    “Ash. Let go.”

    “Whoa, Jin. What’s wrong?”

I deliberately lowered my voice while slipping my hand into my pocket.

But Ash didn’t release my wrist; instead, he tightened his grip.

Maybe I sensed it at that moment.

    “Your expression looks scary.”

“I told you to let go.”

“You’re going to shoot me? With that speaker in your pocket?”

    “…”

    I’m screwed.

    He figured it out.

I could feel cold sweat running down my forehead.

I squeezed my eyes shut and gripped the speaker tightly in my hand.

    Go, Night-mon.

    “Take this!”

    “Ugh!”

I threw Night directly at Ash’s nose.

Simultaneously breaking free from Ash’s grip, I kicked the table and lunged toward the bathroom door.

Sacrificing Night to summon my gun.

    “Aagh!”

“I must have left something in the bathroom!”

…but my plan was foiled when my hair was grabbed, stopping me in my tracks.

I had no choice but to turn around and initiate Plan B.

Even though he was a man, my opponent was Ash.

    Skinny, bony Ash.

I could definitely take him on.

Even if I couldn’t, I had no choice but to try.

I immediately thrust the fork I had hidden in my sleeve at Ash.

    “Yeek! You fucking bitch!”

    The fork struck Ash’s hand.

Then his enraged fist came flying toward my philtrum.

Here’s what needed to be considered: we were in a zero-gravity environment.

Therefore, by using the torque force that acts in the opposite direction when throwing a punch, I could easily dodge and subdue…

    “Ack!”

    Yeah right.

My nose shattered and I spun backward.

‘Become a martial arts master with one book! Space Combat Edition’ – that author needs to come out and face me.

    This doesn’t work at all.

“Urgh. Damn, really. Ah. Why do I have to lose…”

“Shh, Jin. Be quiet and go to sleep, okay? My plan got a little messed up, but all you need to do is fall asleep. Come on, sleep.”

    “Urrrgh…”

Before I knew it, Ash had me in a chokehold.

Pressure slowly built on my neck, cutting off my breath.

My desperate flailing couldn’t push against anything, just pathetically thrashing in the empty space.

My vision gradually darkened and narrowed, and soon I lost consciousness.

    .

    .

    .

    “Damn it, really…”

“How is it that the first thing you say when you wake up is a curse?”

When I opened my eyes and twisted my body, I realized my limbs were restrained.

With my nostrils blocked by dried blood, breathing was difficult.

Breathing heavily like a wheezing pig, I looked around and saw Ash with a bandaged hand and a bizarre smile on his face.

“Ah. I didn’t think to search the bathroom? The gun was right there next to the toilet, and I went through all that trouble for nothing… Sigh.”

And of course, in Ash’s hand was that dazzling gold gun, almost too bright to look at directly.

My wolf cub’s legacy in the hands of that damn alien…

I’m a failure as an owner.

“Right now, Jin, you must be confused. You’re probably thinking Ash has gone crazy. Let me explain. This is what happened…”

“I know everything, you filthy alien. From you splitting that pig’s head open and feeding your alien friend to Gus, to you two conspiring to kill the ranger and the captain.”

“I thought you were just stupid, but you figured out quite a lot, Jin. Too late, though.”

    “You disgusting creature…”

At that moment, Ash’s smiling expression froze into something cold.

Then suddenly, a long black form emerged from his pants.

That thing, which looked like a tail, was attached to Ash’s rear end and was creeping around disgustingly.

How did he manage to hide that without being discovered…

I should have been suspicious when he never bathed even once, smelling filthy all over.

“So why did you keep me alive? Though I think I know the reason…”

I looked Ash up and down and clicked my tongue.

Even if his brain had been replaced by a parasite, his body was still human.

That meant he still had all the desires that humans naturally feel.

Hunger, sleep… and all the desires that men have…

“Ugh. Just kill me. I know what you’re planning.”

“Hehehe… Your brain works better in crisis. Yes, as you predicted, I’m keeping you alive to use as a host for my kind that we’ll discover…”

“You want to use me as your plaything!”

    “Huh…?”

    “Uh…?”

    An icy silence descended.

I stared at Ash, who stood with his mouth open in shock, and felt my face burning with embarrassment.

    This is so humiliating, seriously…

“Well, what else would I expect from your intelligence level…”

“I was making a joke, you jerk! A joke! Don’t you understand jokes?”

    “Sure you were…”

“Don’t look at me like that! You parasite!”

    “…”

As he was shooting me a disgusted look and subtly distancing himself, suddenly an alarm went off on the navigation room’s control panel.

-Cargo bay hatch has been opened.

    “What?!”

I could see Ash’s face turning pale with shock.

    Finally, it had arrived.

    My secret weapon.
