Ch.205[Episode 205] Unexpected Guest

Sir Dominic returned home with a refreshed mind.

“Hm? You’re back? Did you find the people from Feralante?”

    “Ah.”

Only after hearing Sir Dominica’s words did Sir Dominic realize he had forgotten something.

He had completely forgotten about the people from Feralante while doing 4-1.

    “I forgot.”

“Well, I figured as much. I thought it would be impossible to find them anyway.”

Sir Dominica nodded as if she had expected this.

“Anyway, help me prepare dinner. Alice is staying over tonight.”

    “Staying over?”

“Yes. Don’t worry about clothes. I lent her mine.”

Sir Dominic carefully examined Sir Dominica’s clothes.

There was the phrase ‘REPUBLICA DOMINICANA’ on it.

    It wasn’t a t-shirt she usually wore.

It seemed like she had taken out something new.

“I don’t know where you find such tasteless t-shirts.”

Sir Dominic shook his head looking at Sir Dominica’s t-shirt.

It was a simple t-shirt with just text, so it wasn’t particularly divisive in terms of taste, but the letters kept distorting due to Sir Dominica’s powerful chest.

“What, you think you have better taste?”

    Sir Dominica grumbled.

Sir Dominic recalled his own t-shirts at her words.

Indeed, clothes not much different from Sir Dominica’s.

    “Well, that’s true.”

Thinking that perhaps a plain single-colored t-shirt without any print would be better, Sir Dominic went inside to remove his armor.

After hanging his armor on the stand, Sir Dominic headed to the bathroom as usual.

He seemed to have sweated a bit from moving roughly.

Ever since others had told him he smelled, Sir Dominic had been paying attention to cleanliness.

Of course, by Feralante standards. Basically, Sir Dominic was a person from Feralante and was accustomed to Feralante ways.

After a quick shower in the bathroom, Sir Dominic began to thoroughly clean the spot where his eyepatch had been.

A hollow that was once full of festering flesh and pus.

For some reason, it no longer festered or hurt since coming to Gacharland, but it still needed proper care.

Sir Dominic, covering his eye with a clean eyepatch again, looked in the mirror.

Satisfied that he was quite handsome, Sir Dominic smiled happily.

When Sir Dominic, now dressed in fresh clothes, came out to the living room, Sir Dominica and Alice were already there drinking cocoa and chatting, both wearing loose t-shirts.

“I borrowed your clothes, Master, but they feel uncomfortable. There’s extra room in the chest area but the shoulders are too tight…”

“Well, Alice, you’re bigger than me.”

“…That’s not something a young lady wants to hear.”

Alice became dejected at Sir Dominica’s words.

It was a natural reaction for someone her age who would like cute and pretty things.

“For knight work, physique is everything. People with strong frames like yours are destined to become great knights.”

    “Really?”

    “Oh, you’re here. Cocoa? Coffee?”

    “Coffee, please.”

Sir Dominic sat on the living room sofa and spoke to Alice.

As soon as Alice learned that her body type was suitable for knighthood, she smiled brightly as if she had never been dejected.

    “By the way…”

Sir Dominic looked at Alice and whispered to Sir Dominica.

“Aren’t the clothes a bit small? Or too big?”

Sir Dominic looked at the t-shirt Alice was wearing.

With her height as tall as Sir Dominic and a build unlike a child’s.

Because of this, Alice wearing Sir Dominica’s t-shirt had her navel completely exposed.

However, Alice still had a childlike figure, and her growth wasn’t complete enough to have the formidable chest muscles like Sir Dominica.

This resulted in the strange state where her shoulders were tight, chest loose, and navel exposed.

“What’s this, Sir Dominic, pretending not to care but actually paying attention to such things?”

Sir Dominica looked at Sir Dominic with a smirk.

But Sir Dominic shook his head.

“A child exposing their stomach can catch a cold. Perhaps I should give her my clothes… Ah.”

Sir Dominic stood up to offer his clothes, but suddenly remembered that he only had two sets of clothes that weren’t skins.

One set he had just taken off, and one he was currently wearing.

In other words, Sir Dominic had no spare clothes at the moment.

Realizing this fact, Sir Dominic awkwardly sat back down.

“I don’t think my clothes will work either.”

“Indeed. In this aspect, should I say it’s just like you, or is it truly a parallel world line…”

    Sir Dominica chuckled.

Unlike Sir Dominic, Sir Dominica had quite a lot of clothes.

That’s why she could lend clothes to Alice.

Alice was still wearing these strangely loose yet tight clothes, but she was smiling brightly as if it didn’t matter.

She seemed quite happy about spending a day with her masters.

In fact, Alice was feeling the same excitement she felt on school trip event nights.

“Can I play all night? Can I jump on the bed?”

Alice was energetically running around, forgetting it was already evening.

Seeing her looking like a puppy on a snowy day, Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica couldn’t help but smile.

“As much as you want. Sometimes, freely running and playing like this can also be training. But…”

After giving permission as the homeowner, Sir Dominic looked at Sir Dominica.

“I’m not sure what we should play.”

“…! Are you going to play with me?”

Alice looked at Sir Dominic with surprised eyes.

She thought Sir Dominic, being a knight among knights, wouldn’t play at night.

    “Of course.”

    Sir Dominic told Alice.

“Indeed. When we were young, we wanted to play like that too. Though we were told never to do it because the haystack would collapse.”

Sir Dominica agreed with Sir Dominic’s words.

    Alice smiled brightly at that.

Then she scurried to her bag in the corner and began taking out various items.

After carelessly removing the weapons on top, Alice took out what was buried at the bottom of the bag.

Most were quite renowned board games.

“I always carried these for times like this! Though I couldn’t play most of them because I didn’t have friends to play with.”

    Alice said somewhat dejectedly.

Whether you remember or not, Alice was still of school age.

“My friends are all too busy playing games like Warhax 40k, Demi Gardis, or League of Storm to play with me.”

Alice explained as if to excuse her slip about not having friends.

In reality, wasn’t Alice friendly enough to become friends with that demon lord?

Already knowing this fact, Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica didn’t pay much attention to Alice’s slip of the tongue.

Instead, Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica pulled their seats closer to the table in front of the sofa, where Alice had placed a board game.

It was a board game titled ‘Ca’thulu’.

“This is a game called Ca’thulu, and the rules are like this. We each start with resources, and using those resources, we build and develop villages, and whoever offers 10 points first wins-“

Just as Alice was happily explaining the rules, there was a sound.

Knock, knock, knock. The sound came from the front door.

The three in the living room simultaneously looked toward the entrance at that impolite sound.

At night, at this late hour, someone had come?

Sir Dominic stared at the entrance for a while before standing up.

“Wait a moment. It seems we have a visitor.”

    “Ah, yes!”

“In the meantime, explain the rules to Sir Dominica.”

After saying that, Sir Dominic headed to the entrance.

And he called out beyond the door.

    “Who is it?”

“Excuse me, are you Sir Dominic?”

A rather polite response came from outside the door.

It was such a courteous tone that it was hard to understand why they had come so impolitely in the middle of the night.

    “…Yes, I am.”

Sir Dominic replied to the man beyond the door.

However, the man beyond the door began to speak even more gently, as if trying to reassure Sir Dominic.

“Ah! I see. I’m Inspector Lupin working under Inspector Javert. It’s nothing serious, but did you happen to go out today…?”

    “Yes.”

Sir Dominic answered the man who identified himself as Inspector Lupin.

Indeed, Sir Dominic had been around the city looking for people from Feralante.

“Then, did you visit the Market Area, industrial district, or outer ring road? Ah, it’s nothing serious. Just a verification procedure.”

    “…Yes.”

Sir Dominic affirmed Inspector Lupin’s words.

In fact, Sir Dominic had essentially traveled throughout all of Gacharland.

“Oh dear, oh dear… Then may I ask one last thing?”

    “Go ahead.”

Inspector Lupin delivered shocking words from beyond the door.

“Would it be alright if I took you to the police station?”

Sir Dominic silently glared toward the door.

Though he didn’t know what was going on, Inspector Lupin had changed the atmosphere and was now hostile toward Sir Dominic.
