Title: I will now begin praising the moderators

Oh shit maybe I shouldn’t have posted this

What if they really come after me?

My heart is pounding so hard I’m about to have a seizure

Like this post if you want to delete your post and find salvation lololololol

-[Not a chance, straight to the death note]

-[Everyone cheers at the three words “death note”]

When the moderators’ “death note” verification posts went up, praise posts for the moderators sprouted like mushrooms.

It reminded me of the common practice in my previous life where paid commenters would be deployed for manipulation campaigns.

Of course, it was only natural that in a gallery with such high traffic, these mindless praise posts would irritate “regular” users.

Title: Isn’t that just sucking up to the moderators?

Aren’t they just trying to become famous names

and form cliques to control gallery opinion?

Or just people trying to gain benefits

    by clinging to moderators?

    Comments:

-[Is there any benefit to sticking with moderators?]

-˪[There are tons actually, maybe not in real life but here moderators can actually control the narrative so yeah]

-[Separate from the sucking up, it honestly does feel unpleasant]

-[Just like mental children, it’s so obvious they’re immediately sucking up]

When these “regular users” assessed the situation and posted criticisms,

The mindless praise posts directed at us quickly sank as expected.

The atmosphere of having to praise moderators quickly dissipated, but…

The problem was that just as we saw with the moderator praise meltdown, the opposition(?) couldn’t end things at verse one either.

Of course, since the level was all the same anyway, even the silent majority with neutral tendencies started responding that this was a meltdown and no fun.

Despite Lock’s warnings and other moderators’ posts disguised as death note verifications(?),

The trolls and attention-seekers who were already revved up started posting disgusting images and adult content without any real purpose.

Suddenly, the event-induced seizures and disgusting/adult image marathon continued, once again attempting to turn the gallery into Sodom and Gomorrah.

However, due to the structure of this event, there wasn’t much for users to do directly.

Since user moderators like myself were monitoring in real time, and even the real administrators who had recently been fading into the background jumped in,

The troublemakers, who numbered at most several hundred to a thousand, were completely suppressed in less than 10 minutes.

Of course, blocking users was one thing, but deleting their posts was another matter.

For a while, the gallery’s situation involved the lamentations of rankers who had been reduced to erasing poop images, gore, car accident photos, and adult content.

The deletion rush was delayed as adult image collectors gathered “nice” pictures among the disgusting ones.

It was a chaotic situation in many ways.

“Wouldn’t this have ended already if the Commander hadn’t delayed deleting posts to pick up strange things here and there?”

“Jessica, Jessica, adult images are a serious matter.”

    “…Pardon?”

“And think about it, am I really the only one collecting them?”

    “…!”

Of course, neither I nor anyone else in the gallery would know the reason for the delayed deletion rush.

Anyway, after neatly hanging the trolls by their necks like that,

The gallery began to return to normal thanks to the users who had remained silent while the trolls were being cut down.

    ==========

And as normalization progressed, discussions about the event gradually resurfaced…

Title: I’m curious why this event is PVE format instead of PVP?

    Author: Anonymous

    Content: [Event announcement image header]

    Not saying it’s bad

But wouldn’t it be better to just fight with other players

    instead of dungeon exploration?

To be honest, they normally make PVP disadvantageous,

so shouldn’t they at least allow PVP during events?

    Comments:

-[Are you seeking a Pyrrhic victory?]

-[PVP would be meaningless anyway, unless they reduced the disadvantages during events]

-[If they did that, only lucky veterans would rise while newbies would all hit rock bottom, idiot]

    —————————————-

‘Without war, PVP in this game is insane.’

Seeing the whiny post from a PVP enthusiast, I just shook my head and started looking at other posts.

Not long after, I could see a proper analysis post about this event.

Title: Why EU events proceed as PVE.txt

    Author: Anonymous

    Content: [Image listing past events]

Nothing special, it’s about fairness and balance between users

If events were handled as PVP, only massive clans or hardcore veterans would take the ranker spots, making it a boring game

What about users who had their strength reduced before major events due to user events or unfair treatment?

    That’s the issue

    But with PVE?

No need to worry about that – just throw in AI dungeons scaled appropriately

So both the admins and users are happy in a win-win relationship, why would they create PVP events and give themselves headaches lol

    Comments:

    -[This is correct]

    -[Not wrong]

-[Plus mobile games are originally more PVE than PVP focused, so PVP is just for old-timers]

-˪[Sheesh, this kid whose blood hasn’t even dried behind his ears…!]

Title: But this event especially had to be PVE

    Author: Anonymous

Content: [Map of damage status in the Central Zone and “Southern Zone”.png]

This shows users who were damaged in the Central Zone invasion

And users caught in the conflict in what’s commonly called the Southern Zone – the “Pirate-Earth border” area

As you can see, tens of thousands of users there had their forces literally torn apart

And the problem is that users who preemptively invaded those areas also got torn apart

Even without the 1:5 battle that the 3rd-ranked player verified recently, top rankers got mobbed and destroyed enemy fleets even as they died

Plus with major clans like Humanity and Loki having some of their main forces torn apart, user strength plummeted instantly

Whether they liked it or not, many fell into a nearly unrecoverable state

[Image of Humanity clan’s chat window]

I got this with help from an acquaintance, but there are reports that Humanity spent at least tens of millions of minerals just to recover from the damage in this campaign, so imagine how bad it is for others

So I think the admins deliberately chose to determine rankings through PVE scores

And accordingly made the dungeons individual instance dungeons for each user

    Comments:

    -[Analysis upvote]

-[Were that many really torn apart?]

-[I heard there was a major clash in the south, this is insane]

    -[Wow]

    -[Upvote for the analysis]

    —————————————-

“Oh, so that’s what it was.”

And seeing this sharp analysis(?) that I hadn’t even considered, I could only nod my head.
