Ch.197197. Official Launch of Farming Cosmetics
by fnovelpia
The members who would log out this time had been decided.
Me, Kim Soo-jung, and Kim Sol-i.
Everyone except Lee Ji-hyun had agreed to leave.
“Hehe. I need to hurry out, register as a hunter, and announce on YouTube that an SS+ rank flame mage has appeared in the world!”
“Go ahead and do it on your YouTube.”
“Come on, oppa. Why bother? Let’s change the channel name to ‘SSS+ Farmer Hunter and SS+ Flame Mage.'”
“No way. That’s terrible.”
“How about ‘SSS+ Farming Company’ then?”
“Get lost.”
“You only post videos once every 1-2 weeks anyway. Adding my content would give you more to show. Right? Right?”
Well, as Soo-jung said, the SSS+ Farmer Hunter YouTube channel does provide plenty of videos each time we go out, but since it relies heavily on my biome exploration videos, it can’t help feeling somewhat monotonous.
Even though people enjoy seeing the majesty of vast biomes that can’t be seen in dungeons, when it comes to YouTube, posting a variety of content across different genres would be better for reaching more people.
With the appearance of an SS+ rank flame mage and establishing a rivalry with Kellin, there’s a high possibility of attracting even more subscribers.
“And this time, I’ve prepared a snake cuisine omakase. I need to earn some pocket money consistently. I’m going to buy my own items with money I earn myself. Hehehe.”
Originally, Soo-jung had no intention of leaving and wanted to focus on growing the World Tree and developing cloud sugar, but since becoming an SS+ rank mage a few days ago, she suddenly had all these real-world appointments and was just waiting for the day to log out.
Well, given how busy Soo-jung is both here and there, she would have left eventually even if not now, since she’d have more things to do later.
And Ji-hyun, since becoming an SS+ rank alchemist, truly hasn’t shown her face until today’s logout date, no lie.
“Ji-hyun unnie? She’s been taking a whole day’s worth of food up to her room at once…? Don’t worry, I’ve prepared the mud potion she wants to take out this time.”
From what I hear, she’s not obsessively doing alchemy all the time and is living normally, but she’s been maximizing her self-development time that she used to spend making strange toxic potions to research her SS+ rank abilities.
Since she’s not going out to fight monsters but just staying home doing research, there wasn’t much to worry about.
If anything, I should be thanking her for working tirelessly day and night for the Farming Company.
And Kim Sol-i also decided to leave this time after gaining construction abilities.
“Since we’re still far from finishing the cabin area, I want to decorate around the World Tree by planting flowers and such. Pretty flowers and trees that can only be grown on Earth. I think these might look beautiful in the Rift Dimension, so I want to bring some.”
“That’s a good idea.”
Honestly, Sol-i’s sense of aesthetics was so perfect that I didn’t need to interfere at all, as evidenced by the Naru tribe village she decorated while I was in the Steam Forest.
Looking at Sol-i’s portfolio when I was playing Farming World, and then seeing what she actually decorated, I feel her skills have improved even more.
Perfect sensibility.
The sensibility I wanted.
If someone could capture and extract those specific points of my indescribable personal aesthetic, wouldn’t it be Sol-i’s artistic creations?
So I had no regrets.
Bringing Sol-i along was perhaps the most important puzzle piece for decorating this harsh Rift Dimension.
Well, we’re just taking the first steps now.
“So the three of us will be logging out.”
I gathered the things I needed to take.
“Have a good trip, Master!”
“Yeah, Lulu. Make sure you do your homework. I’ll bring back something delicious.”
“Yes!! You can count on me!”
Before leaving.
I gave Lulu some homework.
Now that I have some extra farming points and more farms, I thought about developing Lulu a bit more as a growth assistant.
Of course, this is a gamble.
If developing Lulu doesn’t specifically help the farm, the invested points and farms would be wasted.
But I wasn’t particularly worried.
The Rift Dimension has always shown me enough trust to believe that investments would yield good returns.
And using that as leverage, I assigned homework.
If she does well, I’ll invest a little based on her performance.
That’s how, on the 28th day as summer was ending…
“It’ll be autumn when we return.”
I marked the end of summer early by conquering the Level 2 biome.
—————
The official name: Farming Company.
It’s neither just an outlet nor a shopping center.
We decided to simply call the entire massive complex “Farming Company.”
After purchasing tens of thousands of pyeong of empty land in Gyeonggi-do, construction began with a massive department store at the center.
A 10-story large department store.
While the contents haven’t been decided yet, the building went up incredibly fast.
The building was even constructed with sound-absorbing stone mixed in, which made Golden Construction, the company in charge, drool with envy, or so I heard.
Although various legal issues and permits blocked progress midway, somehow Hunter Association Team Leader Kim Jin-hyeop managed to negotiate well with the government, and construction proceeded smoothly—news I only heard when I occasionally came out.
Most of it was handled by my father.
This time too, after about a week or maybe a bit longer, I came out to hear that the department store was completed, though nothing had moved in yet, and on the second floor, Soo-jung’s omakase restaurant had been built.
The interior was apparently completed according to Soo-jung’s specifications, which she had communicated in advance to a famous design firm.
And now we just needed to create and insert companies that would sell through Farming Company.
Due to the abnormal structure of Farming Company, it was somewhat unique, and while it’s empty now, I thought that over time it would become a place where everything could be handled in one location.
“We can launch Farming Cosmetics on the first floor with mud potion sales, and sell Farming Groceries in the basement.”
And I was planning to install a luxury section in part of the spacious first floor.
Items that don’t go up for auction.
For example, items like the Sewer Sword, slightly enhanced and gold-plated, sold at expensive prices as items difficult to obtain on Earth.
Items easily obtainable on Earth would not be sold at Farming Department Store.
Even if they were B-rank or A-rank items, with Kukum’s SS+ rank blacksmith enhancement abilities, selling them with just a +3 enhancement would make them sell like hotcakes as luxury items.
Additionally, on the 10th floor, the top level, we created a secret auction house that only truly exclusive VIPs and VVIPs could enter.
The 9th floor was made into a general auction house.
Since the core of Farming Company is auctioning priceless items, we carefully designed two entire floors as auction spaces.
We also planned to create a dedicated VIP/VVIP relaxation area on the 10th floor for those who came all the way to Korea, with a connecting passage to a hotel next door.
To be honest, anyone can come up with rough ideas like these, even people like me who haven’t studied architecture or business management.
Saying “How about doing it this way?” is something anyone can do.
However, companies don’t arrange buildings or place stores on each floor according to whims because there are clear differences in sales depending on the arrangement.
They can’t ignore the sales relative to costs.
But for me, money is still abundant enough for these purposes, so I could do as I pleased.
It was a kind of confidence.
These things will sell regardless.
The resources from the Rift Dimension are a pure blue ocean with no competition.
Already, wealthy people from around the world take private jets or first-class flights to stay in Korea for one or two weeks just on news of my arrival.
For people who don’t care whether the auction is in Seoul, Busan, or even Jeju Island, why would the empty fields of Gyeonggi-do near Seoul be a problem?
Selling just one item properly means not having to worry about annual revenue.
So I shaped Farming Company roughly according to my wishes.
“Well, let’s stop here for now. Let’s promote the cosmetics first and then start.”
The focus of this logout was launching and promoting the cosmetics company.
As what could be considered Farming Company’s first independent business, it was prepared with considerable effort… not by me, but under my father’s direction with money invested, and I heard Soo-jung was quite passionate about it during her last time on Earth.
Anyway, we had actually created a company called Farming Cosmetics, hired employees, and were just waiting for the products to be ready.
Unlike other cosmetics companies, we didn’t have a production factory.
The only way to purchase was to come to Farming Department Store.
It was an extremely arrogant sales method, but to make the currently empty Farming Department Store thrive, this was the only way.
So we hired a special person as a promotional model.
“Hurry up and let’s go see Hyoju unnie, oppa.”
“Let’s go.”
