Ch.190190. Huge Reward
by fnovelpia
It hadn’t even been two weeks since I received that feast of rewards, and here I was getting another heaping serving of rewards.
Truly, this couldn’t be anything but a god-tier game.
“What should I eat first?”
With dozens of sumptuous dishes spread before me, I was torn about what to bite, tear into, and taste first.
I decided to organize everything.
Starting with the main quest rewards, then sub-quests.
And finally, exploration quest rewards.
The main quest where I cleanly avoided nothing, not only letting the Black Monkeys continue living in the Steam Forest but making the Steam Forest their territory.
– SSS+ Ability Selection Ticket x1
– Farming Stat Points 30
– 100,000 Farm
– Achievement Points 7
– Corrupted Thousand-Year Snake Ring (S) ★
I marked special items from the rewards with stars.
And then Main Quest 2.
This one came with particularly dense Chaos Energy, so the rewards were much greater than the previous Main Quest 2.
– SSS+ Life Ability Selection Ticket x1
– SS+ Ability Selection Ticket x2
– Farming Stat Points 30
– 200,000 Farm
– Dense Chaos Energy Fragment x1 ★
It seemed that even though Main Quest 2 was still a main quest, since it focused on pursuing Chaos Energy and growing the Corrupted Ring, it wouldn’t give out SSS+ Ability Selection Tickets despite the slightly higher difficulty.
Still, getting an SSS+ Life Ability Selection Ticket was nothing to scoff at.
For Main Quest 2, I needed to check one more thing: whether the Corrupted Ring had grown stronger after devouring the dense Chaos Energy.
– Check Corrupted Ring
The rest were sub-quests.
When I compiled everything together, it stretched out like a receipt.
– Farming Stat Points 155
– SS- Ability Selection Ticket x1
– 110,000 Farm
– (Legendary) Hair-Growing Tree Sapling x1 ★
– Achievement Points 15
– Base Points +70
– Novice Explorer Badge (Common) ★
– SS Life Ability Selection Ticket x1
– Black Monkey Tribe Loyalty 100
– Black Monkey Tribe Morale Buff +1 Level
– Base Teleportation Portal (E) x2 ★
– Novice Master Explorer Badge (Common) ★
– Purification Enhancement Activated
That’s just from the sub-quests.
“How much is all this worth…”
Combined with the main quest rewards, I had a whopping 215 Farming Stat Points.
410,000 Farm.
An incredible number of Ability Selection Tickets and 21 Achievement Points.
“I’m going to burst.”
Honestly, comparing what I’ve gained so far, this SSS+ Rift Dimension map character who’s barely passed day 50 feels much stronger than my 10-year character in Farming World 1.
I suppose it’s natural when starting with SSS+ abilities and now being able to choose a fourth SSS+ combat ability.
I feel both wealthy and like I need to be careful about building a solid foundation.
“I should use some Farming Points too…”
You never know when you might need Farming Stat Points.
At first, I just dumped all my points to get stronger and help clear quests, but as I gained some leeway, keeping some points in reserve helped deal with unexpected situations.
Like when I learned Holy Magic with an SSS+ Ability Selection Ticket after discovering I needed holiness to counter Chaos Energy.
Having reserve Farming Stat Points means I can suddenly raise an ability by one grade, like with the Light Demon Sword, if the situation calls for it.
Though the best approach would be to save those reserve points and find other ways to grow.
Thanks to that approach, I was able to level up Login/Logout and learn Dimensional Language ability.
– SSS+ Ability Selection Ticket x1
– SSS+ Life Ability Selection Ticket x1
– SS+ Ability Selection Ticket x2
– SS Ability Selection Ticket x1
– SS- Life Ability Selection Ticket x1
“Ugh. My eyes hurt. It’s getting confusing.”
When listed by grade, I had 4 Ability Selection Tickets and 2 Life Ability Selection Tickets.
I was planning to use the SSS+ for defensive abilities, so I put that on hold, and decided to distribute the rest to people on the farm after organizing the other rewards.
More importantly, there were many special items in this reward batch that I wanted to check first.
– Corrupted Thousand-Year Snake Ring (S)
– Dense Chaos Energy Fragment
– (Legendary) Hair-Growing Tree Sapling
– Novice Explorer Badge (Common)
– Novice Master Explorer Badge (Common)
– Base Teleportation Portal (E) x2
Since I already knew the purpose of the Teleportation Portals, they went straight to storage.
I had already decided how to use them.
E-grade can be used up to level 1 biomes, but until F-grade becomes available, the first priority was the current farm field where the World Tree was planted.
After that, I planned to install one in front of each NPC village.
The field was about a 15-minute walk away, so installing a portal there made sense, and the NPC village was a no-brainer.
With this, I had installed the necessary portals at the main points of the level 0 biome.
Though it was still insufficient.
“I should connect to the mine, lake, and eastern orchard too.”
When it comes to teleportation portals, the more the better.
Whether in an SS-grade map or a small map, walking time inevitably causes fatigue and wastes time for users, but in this game where travel is necessary, teleportation portals are as good as gold.
It would be even more valuable in the Rift Dimension.
If I could just get the recipe for teleportation portals…
If I could manufacture them, I’d throw all my resources into mass-producing them above everything else.
Anyway, since the teleportation portals would be installed right away, I put them in storage, and Kim Soo-jung would take care of installing them.
As for the (Legendary) Hair-Growing Tree Sapling, it was a Hair-Growing Tree but a special one.
[Hair-Growing Tree Sapling]
– Grade: Legendary
– Grows into a Hair-Growing Tree after four seasons.
– The grown (Legendary) Hair-Growing Tree bears a single (Legendary) Hair-Growing Fruit on the first day of spring after four seasons (spring/summer/fall/winter) have passed.
– (Legendary) Hair-Growing Fruit can only be consumed once per person.
I’d never seen a Legendary Hair-Growing Tree before, but I’d seen similar fruits in Farming World.
In the Farming World community, there was talk about Heroic-grade fruits or Legendary-grade fruits that had special abilities unlike other Hair-Growing Fruits.
Normally, Hair-Growing Fruits have grades, and eating one turns you into a Hairy Being, raising all stats by +1 grade—essentially sacrificing appearance for stats.
But the Hair-Growing Fruit I saw in Farming World, which I now suspect was a Legendary Hair-Growing Fruit, permanently raised a random stat by 1 grade when consumed.
My memory is a bit fuzzy about whether there were stat restrictions, but I vaguely recall hearing that it couldn’t be consumed at SS+ grade, which means it must be good.
“Do I have to wait a year?”
I need to wait a year for it to grow into a Legendary Hair-Growing Tree, and then wait another four seasons after that.
Well, a year here isn’t 365 days but 120 days (30 days per season), so in real time it’s about 240 days…
“Still a long time.”
By then, I should have at least one stat that would benefit most efficiently from eating the Legendary Hair-Growing Fruit.
Anyway, since I received it as a reward, I decided to plant it.
If Kim Soo-jung finds a way to accelerate tree growth, we could shorten that time.
I was unsure if I could wear both the Novice Explorer Badge and the Novice Master Explorer Badge at the same time, but when I held them together, I noticed they were different sizes.
The Master Explorer Badge was slightly larger with a shield-like shape, and the Novice Explorer Badge had a small hole in the middle that fit perfectly into the Master Explorer Badge, combining them.
“Oh. So that’s how it works.”
Since completing the hidden quest to explore 100% automatically clears the existing achievement quest, I guess this is how they designed it.
Pretty clever.
[Novice Master Explorer Badge]
– Grade: Common
– You’ve taken your first step as a Master Explorer.
– Can be worn regardless of item slots.
– Hero grade or higher reward acquisition probability +100%
– A grade or higher reward acquisition probability +100%
– Rare point appearance probability in biomes +1%
“Wow. Those are some nice options.”
I was curious what options it would give, and this is what I got.
The probabilities jumped between 100% and 1%, but as someone who’s played Farming World for a long time, I understood.
The Hero/A-grade reward acquisition probability is normally abysmally low at 0.XXX%, so this doubles that chance.
The rare point appearance probability in biomes is also extremely low, but this adds an absolute 1% to it.
So even though 100% is numerically larger, the real value of this badge lies in the biome rare point probability increase.
“The rare point bonus is quite appealing.”
I liked it, even though it was just a common-grade badge.
