Ch.187July’s Dungeon, and Terror (10)

Anyway, I got beaten to a pulp.

“You’re a complete wreck…” Sasith said as he helped me to my feet.

“Hehahaha…! When you aim high, there are some fights where you shouldn’t throw punches!” I said, somehow managing to stand up.

“No. Even if you try to act cool saying that…” Sasith looked at me with an expression of disbelief.

“The dreams of humanity!! Will never die!!” I shouted loudly. I’ve always wanted to say that line.

“What’s Pointy Head’s dream…? To put beautiful women of all races in his harem?” Prill said with cold eyes.

Honestly, that is every man’s fantasy…

    Zap-!

Umi, Taiga, and Tina glared at me with incredible intensity. I ended up shutting my mouth tight.

“Alright!!!! Day 2 has ended!!! Those lucky enough to reach the center have survived!!! Those who wandered outside and died… well!! Consider yourselves unlucky!! Wahahahaha!” Rahitan’s voice boomed through the loudspeakers.

Well, day 2 was gradually coming to an end.

The temporary portal had already been set up at Kirtan’s base. Tomorrow when we enter the dungeon, we’ll start from here.

“Well then, children!! See you next time!” I said, waving my hand.

“Wahahahaha! What’s that? A children’s show? So lame!” Umi burst into laughter.

Well, it seemed like my joke had helped ease Umi’s anger a bit.

Anyway, that’s how day 2 concluded.

Emoto… his name wasn’t in the kill log. As expected of an Apocalypse member, he seemed to be surviving quite well.

    ———

After returning home, we headed straight to our hideout.

As soon as we arrived, Umi immediately reported everything to Eri.

“Hmm… Shota. I thought I smelled something sweet and alcoholic on you… so that’s what happened?” Eri said with a slight smile.

“That… was an alien, right? With lots of tentacles… Shota, were you into that kind of thing?” Mika seemed to have a strange misunderstanding.

“No! I’m not into tentacles!! If anything, I prefer to be the one with the tentacles!”

    I quickly corrected my preferences.

“Ah, that’s information I didn’t want to know!” Mika shouted, her face turning bright red.

“Hmm… I’m actually in favor of Shota expanding his harem. After all, I’m the first one anyway.” Eri said.

“But… it bothers me that there’s a scent on Shota that I don’t recognize.” Eri immediately gave instructions to her girlfriends.

    They all restrained me.

“Let’s cover that woman’s scent… with our own.” Eri said with a smile.

Well… looks like I’m going to be squeezed dry again today. I sighed and decided to accept it willingly.

And once again, I was thoroughly ravished.

    ———-

At that time, aboard the Blue Pearl, the flagship of Kirtan’s pirate fleet.

It was a massive vessel the size of a small city. As the second day of survival ended, Kirtan and her elite pirates woke up on the ship.

“Alright! Turn the ship around!! Our next destination has been decided!!” Kirtan shouted loudly.

“Captain. Didn’t we agree to rest during the War Festival?” The navigator asked in a confused tone.

“I’ve found a new treasure!! Our target is Earth!!! A planet located in the outskirts!!” Kirtan shouted.

“Ah… Earth is a bit… it’s dangerous there!! It’s a planet where the existence of the universe is hidden!! If we go there, it’ll cause a huge commotion!”

    The navigator exclaimed.

“We can sneak in secretly. A pirate’s finished if they start following laws.” Kirtan said decisively.

    “Oh, come on… really…”

“Would you rather get beaten or just do it? Or would you prefer to be banished and become food for space monsters?” Kirtan began her pirate-style persuasion.

“Target! Earth!! Full speed ahead!!!” The navigator finally gave the order.

    Whoosh-!!!!

Kirtan’s pirate crew was suddenly headed to Earth due to their captain’s whim.

Looking at the stars dotting the sky, Kirtan’s face slightly flushed.

‘I’ve found… a new treasure…’ Kirtan had realized the value of the treasure named Arigiri Shota.

Getting what she wanted was Kirtan’s creed as a pirate.

“I’ll definitely make you mine! Prepare yourself!! Arigiri Shota!!” Kirtan shouted boisterously.

And so, changes began to occur in Earth’s situation.

    ———-

That day, I continued my training in the dream dungeon as usual.

Despite everything, Sasith showed up today.

Sasith trained in the dungeon on his own. While his experience points didn’t increase much in the dream dungeon, there was definitely an advantage in instilling combat sense.

I also explored a snowy dungeon filled with undead.

“Die again!! You corpse bastards!!!!” For some reason, I felt rage boiling up whenever I saw these undead. I swung my sword with fury, cutting down the undead before me one by one.

    Clang-!!!

The sword provided in the dungeon was an ordinary one. Even minimizing the durability reduction, there was a limit to its durability.

The sword broke after cutting through the flesh and bones of the undead.

I’d slain about 50 of them. Well, it couldn’t be helped. Plus, I had fired off Blazing Slash multiple times. It was enough to completely wreck the sword.

“Let me borrow this!!!” I tore off an undead’s arm. The bony arm twitched. Bones are surprisingly sturdy. It was sufficient as a weapon.

    “Wahahahaha!! Die!!!!”

    Crack-! Smash-! Thud!!

The undead hit by the bone were practically pulverized.

Finally, I reached the fortress. This time, I took the direct approach, climbing up floor by floor from the first level.

“So, the hero… has come this far… Your corpse… will be useful!!” The necromancer immediately summoned undead to drive me back.

“Come on!! Bring it!!!” I rushed toward him.

“With such a crude weapon…..” However, the necromancer couldn’t finish his sentence.

    Swoosh-!!

The undead’s arm bone pierced right through the necromancer’s neck. Honestly, he wasn’t that strong.

With that, the dungeon was completely cleared.

    ——

    Ding-!!!

I reached level 54. The experience efficiency was definitely overwhelming.

‘But why is there a daily limit…’ I could only go once a day.

It couldn’t be helped. I needed to improve my practical skills even during sleep time. Today’s routine was focused on dagger dungeons, so I immediately entered a dagger dungeon.

    ———-

After running through dungeons all day like that, I woke up.

“Shota! Shota! Wake up!!” Umi next to me slapped my cheeks repeatedly, making a fuss.

“Umi. If you don’t give the model answer, I won’t open my eyes.” I said.

“Really… you’re impossible.” Umi gave me a kiss. Despite having enjoyed everything already, being shy about kisses was Umi’s cute point.

“Did you see the news? It’s causing quite a stir.” Umi said.

“They say a UFO appeared! And in this rural town of Emoshita!!!” Umi said.

“Ah… I see.” There are sightings everywhere.

“They even took photos!” Umi held out her phone.

As expected of a gyaru… her phone was covered with all sorts of stickers.

Indeed, a spaceship was clearly captured in the photo.

But… it looked strangely familiar. It was like… a pirate ship, you could say.

I suddenly had an ominous feeling.

‘No way…’ It couldn’t be the one I know, right? Nah, impossible.

“Shota. Let’s head to school soon, okay?” Eri was already wearing her school uniform.

I stared at Eri in her uniform as if entranced.

“Eri… let’s do it once more, okay?” I said, embracing her.

“Shota. Getting excited again so soon…” Eri chuckled, stroking me as if scolding me.

Afterward, we rushed to school, almost late.

“I’m jealous…” Mika, who had to wear a different uniform and go in a different direction, seemed quite bitter about it. I felt a bit concerned for her.

    ——-

School passed peacefully that day as well. Everyone was talking about the same topic: the spaceship.

These popular kids… they usually have zero interest in UFOs, but once it becomes a trending topic, they talk as if they’ve been experts all along.

Am I being too cynical? Anyway.

“A UFO… since I’ve given up on finding a human partner… maybe I should look for an alien…” Our homeroom teacher said with a distant expression.

Really… I need to introduce a good person to the teacher. I made that resolution.

    ——-

After that, I went straight to the kendo dojo for training. Kana was annoyingly trying to talk to me, so I responded halfheartedly.

After finishing another ordinary and peaceful day, we prepared for the dungeon conquest again.

“Aren’t you going to… enhance Pinocchio?” Bluebeard was strangely pressuring me to spend money.

“Not for now!” I said firmly.

“Aw… the enhancement might actually work well this time.” Bluebeard said in a strangely wheedling tone.

Nope. Absolutely not. Maybe when next week’s settlement money comes in… but not now.

    ——

Anyway, we entered day 3 of the survival dungeon.

It’s about time to end this. I made that resolution secretly. With Apocalypse’s terror attack scheduled for July 15th, we couldn’t afford to waste more time.

‘First… let’s eliminate Moon.’ Then Kirtan would get the ancient weapon and help us.

After that, we’d sweep away the others and deal with the final boss, Rahitan, to complete everything.

“Alright!! Let’s do this!!” I encouraged all party members.

“Shota… aren’t you unusually excited?” Umi said with drowsy eyes.

“He’s… probably excited about doing it with Kirtan again, right?” Taiga said.

“Really… I thought we squeezed him thoroughly yesterday… to think he’d be this energetic. This must be the virility of a hero.” Tina looked at me with eyes full of wonder.

“It’s not because of Kirtan!” I shouted loudly.

Well… honestly, it would be a lie to say I wasn’t looking forward to it at all.

Anyway, we immediately entered day 3. It was approaching the climax.
