But such impudent thoughts were fleeting.

‘Hmm, their performance is actually quite decent.’

I remembered that two of the three S-rank characters were fairly good.

As for that SSS-rank cat girl “Smeragi”… she was likely a character updated after I quit the game.

Considering the power inflation that occurs over time in any mobile game… she must have “something” better than the top-tier characters from when I was playing.

Since I couldn’t precisely recall the performance details of those two S-rank characters, I decided to look up detailed information about all three on the wiki while they were unconscious.

First, I needed to verify if my memory was correct, so I opened the wiki tabs for the two S-rank characters.

Title: S-rank Close Combat Superhuman Axion Description.txt

    Author: Wiki Archivist mk-12

Content: [Axion Concept Art], [Stats Image]

The male character in our game who swings both ways

    Typical close-combat character

Uses any type of spear as a weapon, which is why Chinese players often cosplay as Lu Bu or Guan Yu when using him

But he has a bit of a playboy personality, so he often hits on female superhumans and gets beaten up

Performance-wise, he’s just middle-tier among S-ranks, so newbies can use him without much trouble

Veterans can use him too when he appears

After all, you’re all desperate for superhumans after being transported here, even if you might not have been before

    Comments:

-[You were asked to write about performance and you just said “use him” wtf]

-˪[But Axion really is just a straightforwardly good character](Author)

-˪[Not wrong though, plus he looks cool, right? A manly guy wearing beast hide]

-[Heung~ Axion oppa is so hot]

    -˪[???]

    -[So he’s a Lancer]

    -[Kill yourself, Lancer]

Title: S-rank Close Combat Support Letty Description.txt

    Author: Wiki Archivist mk-10

Content: [Letty Concept Art], [Letty embarrassed in a bikini]

She seems to be from some religious order

It seems different from the sect that our gallery’s star Partia belongs to, or the trigger-happy lewd nun Pashtra’s order

As you can see from the concept art, the order’s symbol is different

Anyway, when you think of “support” characters, you typically imagine someone quietly tucked away in a starship, just emitting buff auras

But she’s unique in that she personally follows superhumans to the frontlines and provides buffs in real-time

You might wonder what that means – her purpose is to provide additional buffs to close combat superhumans during battle

Basically, if you deploy Letty in addition to a support character who provides general aura buffs, other superhumans’ performance increases by about 20%

Just keep in mind that her buff range only applies to the specific “section” of the starship she’s in

Also, she has an amazing body

It’s rare to find a slender beauty with such a nice figure who’s also a close combat nun

So here are some more arousing images for you to enjoy

    [Broken image.jpg]

    Comments:

-[Why are you the only one who can see the images?]

-[Show me the images that you have seen…!]

-[The only arousing one is the second pic, you gay]

    —————————————-

    “Hmm.”

    “How is it, Commander?”

“Just as I remembered. Nothing seems to have changed much.”

Fortunately, according to the performance evaluations in the newly written wiki tabs, they matched exactly what I remembered.

Axion was just a typical, run-of-the-mill spear-wielding character.

And Letty was indeed a character who provided additional buffs in close combat, just as I remembered.

I nodded slightly and decided to look up the wiki information on our fifth SSS-rank superhuman.

After a moment, I was able to find the information on “Smeragi.”

Title: SSS-rank Close Combat Smeragi Description.txt

    Author: Wiki Archivist mk-11

Content: [Smeragi Concept Art], [GIF of Smeragi washing her face like a cat]

Not an original character but one implemented during a new update

About a year before the transportation point

As you can see from the cat ears sticking out despite wearing a hood, she’s from the Xenovia Empire, the space catfolk in the setting

Anyway, check Smeragi’s character profile later for detailed background

Performance-wise, surprisingly for a new character, she tends to lose in direct power struggles against most superhumans of the same rank

That’s why people who first used her called her trash and gave her the weird nickname “Smegragi”

But the thing is, Smeragi isn’t meant for direct power struggles

She’s not designed to just charge in and sweep everything away, but rather to be used like an assassin

If you look at her stats, you’ll see that Smeragi has significantly lower defense compared to others of her rank, but extremely high attack power

You’re supposed to use this to infiltrate enemy starships, quickly ambush their command center and defensive heroes to stun them, and then finish them off

If you charge in recklessly like other characters, she’ll melt because her body is weak

Of course, with proper support superhuman aura buffs and close combat buff characters together, she can somewhat function as a bruiser

But how easy is it to deploy two additional superhumans just to use an assassin as a bruiser?

So if newbies get Smeragi, don’t do anything stupid and just use her for assassination

And of course, like other close combat superhumans, she doesn’t provide fleet buffs or anything outside of combat

Oh, but if you station Smeragi at a base or starship, there’s a 10% increased chance of preventing infiltration or assassination by other superhumans

    Comments:

-[That last ability sounds pretty good]

-[So this sexy cat character can assassinate others but also prevent assassinations?]

    -˪[Smart observation, gay]

-[What about pure combat ability? Even for assassination, if the target is super tough, can she take them down?]

-˪[Unless there’s a level difference of like 20+, pretty much any superhuman would fall to her](Author)

-˪[Of course, there are some who can withstand Smeragi’s assassination burst damage, or create situations where they can](Author)

-˪[Honestly, if a character can withstand Smeragi’s assassination burst damage, it wouldn’t matter much unless they’re truly broken-tier](Author)

    -˪[Ah, thanks]

    —————————————-

    ‘Hmm… an assassin.’

Based on the wiki description, she seemed to have pretty decent performance.

Plus, she had a unique ability… or buff, I should say.

It’s not common to find a character who reduces the “base infiltration success rate” of enemies.

Although her physical frailty was a drawback…

‘Well, that shouldn’t be a big issue for our fleet.’

Instead, we already have plenty of “tanks” who can take hits.

Even Ignis, who might look fragile, actually has a good balance of offense and defense to serve as a bruiser.

And if paired with the living tank Partia (muscle version), she would clearly show tremendous damage output.

With the addition of one SSS-rank and two S-ranks, we should now be able to handle the “more difficult” quests given by the monster faction.

    ‘Sweet!’

I felt my brain’s happiness circuits firing wildly at the thought that everything would be smooth sailing from now on.

But contrary to my burning happiness circuits…

Unfortunately, the reality I faced had many regrettable aspects.

And while there were many things to mention, if I had to pinpoint the most important issue…

“Do you think we would submit to you?”

“Even if our Commander abandoned us, we won’t abandon our Commander.”

“Hmph, we’ll escape and return at the first opportunity.”

It was that these three prisoners, probably due to their captive status, had extremely low friendship levels – too low, in fact.
