Ch.1818. Pink City and the Boy and Girl

    Two people exchanged breaths.

And they were alone in a suite at a hotel known as a sanctuary for lovers.

What would happen between these two people at this moment?

    “Did you sleep well, Sonia?”

    “Mmm…”

Amon, who had woken up early, asked Sonia as he came out after finishing his shower.

Sonia rubbed her sleepy eyes and answered with a whining tone.

Unlike Amon, who was accustomed to going to bed early and waking up early for dawn prayers, Sonia was weak in the mornings.

The morning sunlight shone down like a spotlight on her as she rubbed her sleepy eyes with disheveled hair.

The morning after the two became lovers.

The pajamas Sonia wore were cute animal pajamas.

This wasn’t a misunderstanding—they were actually animal pajamas.

Not naked, not lingerie or swimwear, not disheveled, and not the kind that was difficult to take off once put on. They were comfortable and cozy pajamas without any of those functions.

Despite the two becoming lovers and being alone in a room together,

    Nothing historic happened between them.

    The reasons were quite varied.

First, as devout believers, they valued premarital chastity.

But it wasn’t just for religious reasons.

If by chance a child was conceived, they weren’t confident they could take good care of it.

They had no parents, no support, no property, and no home.

An unplanned pregnancy could seriously complicate their lives.

Moreover, both of them had painful memories of being abandoned by their parents.

Having been hurt themselves, they wanted to do better for their own child.

That’s why they had to be careful about their actions.

‘At least we need a safe home and stable income.’

Until then, both of them had to endure.

But they didn’t feel particularly regretful.

They were still young and had only been adults for a few months.

There was no need to rush.

    – There are other ways to confirm love besides that!

Sonia had said that as she pulled out her cute pajamas.

And so they greeted the morning peacefully.

However, the morning they greeted was a little different from usual.

For the two who had become lovers, everything was incredibly beautiful.

The morning sunlight they greeted for the second time at the resort,

    The ordinary breakfast,

The pool scenery that was no different from yesterday.

    Everything felt fresh and enjoyable.

The two enjoyed themselves at the pool as real lovers, unlike yesterday.

A pink atmosphere flowed between them.

People’s gazes focused on the genuinely happy-looking couple.

Before they knew it, they had become the stars of the pool.

Influencers visiting the resort all captured images of the handsome couple and shared them on social media,

And those images were filtered by an image searching AI of a major corporation.

    [Target found.]

In the Higgjen Group headquarters office.

The businessman who had introduced himself as a department head at the orphanage received a report in his office.

With a cigar burning in one hand, and the other hand kneading the buttocks of a woman in fancy clothes.

He stopped kneading the woman and gestured for her to leave the office.

The polite appearance he had shown when visiting the orphanage was nowhere to be seen, and only an arrogant man remained in his place.

The arrogant department head stubbed out his cigar and grumbled,

“Damn religious freaks. They hid them well.”

He threw the half-smoked cigarette into the trash can, crossed his legs arrogantly, and mentally responded to the report.

    “Prepare the special task force.”

[But the Holy Knights are there. The risk of direct confrontation…]

“I’ll handle it, so get moving.”

    [Yes, sir!]

    The communication ended.

As soon as it did, the businessman called back the prostitute he had sent outside.

While fondling the triple-structured silicon-fat-latex breasts that had been repeatedly modified to satisfy men’s desires, the businessman muttered,

    “Soon the secret…”

The prostitute pretended not to hear the businessman’s muttering.

Because she knew well that was how to survive in this world.

The darkness of the city ran this deep.

The enjoyable time at Blue Moon Resort came to an end after just two days.

It was a very pleasant experience for an unplanned, urgent trip.

Moreover, the enjoyment was doubled because they were traveling on someone else’s money rather than their own.

They had played so enjoyably that as soon as they got into the car to return, both of them immediately collapsed.

Sonia fell asleep leaning on Amon’s sturdy shoulder.

The height for resting her head was so perfect that she thought she and Amon were truly meant for each other.

Amon also fell into a deep sleep amid the scent of lilac from the crown of Sonia’s head.

In the pleasant rocking of the car, Amon dreamed of his past life after a long time.

Even though it was a dream of his past life, it was still a dream of coming home from work and turning on the computer to play games.

‘Today I’ll play Punk City 3,’

In the dream, it was a day for him to play 3.

    Why?

    He didn’t know.

It was just a day to play the third installment.

He clicked on the rightmost icon among the three Punk City icons lined up on the desktop.

The familiar company logo passed by,

    <This work is fictional…>

Various warning messages to avoid legal responsibility also passed by.

When the familiar main screen appeared, Amon clicked on continue.

‘Where did I leave off last time?’

Amon often got confused about where he had ended because he played so many characters across multiple series according to his whims.

As soon as the loading finished, urgent music began to play.

Scenery quickly passing by in the background.

Amon’s character was in a car.

    ‘A car?’

There was only one scene in Punk City where a car was rushing urgently.

Amon instinctively looked to the right.

A one-eyed figure covered in assassination cyberware and technomagic tattoos was riding a motorcycle, glaring at Amon with bright red LED eyes.

    ‘As expected.’

    It was a chase scene.

Early in the third game, the protagonist steals something valuable from a corporation and runs away.

If Amon’s memory was correct, the next scene would be the ninja’s left arm opening with a mechanical sound and firing an armor-piercing bullet.

And as expected, the one-eyed figure on screen pointed his left arm at Amon, and the lid of the arm opened…

    ‘Huh?’

    A sonic gun appeared.

    “Duck your head!!!”

At the priest’s shout, Amon reflexively ducked his head.

He didn’t forget to protect Sonia’s head.

As soon as he ducked, the car window shattered with a crash.

Feeling glass fragments falling on his head, Amon realized this was neither a game nor a dream.

    “Why are ninjas suddenly appearing?!”

Sonia woke up at the scream that expressed Amon’s complaint.

Seeing the shattered car window and ninjas running alongside the car, she didn’t need any explanation of the situation.

She immediately regained her senses and looked for her gun.

    “Ah, right. The trunk…”

The problem was that her gun was in the trunk.

This was the same for Amon, so both of them were unarmed.

Amon, keeping his head down, shouted toward the priest.

    “Father, do something!”

In response to Amon’s cry, the priest replied urgently.

“I’m an exorcist! I can handle ghosts, but not people!!”

“Then what’s that left arm for?!”

“Using this here would be disastrous!”

Maybe it had some demon sealed inside it or something.

Since it was something he wouldn’t use even in this life-threatening situation, there must be a good reason, so Amon stopped questioning about the left arm.

But that didn’t mean he gave up hope in the priest.

    “What about the Holy Knights?!”

“They’re the reason we only have this few pursuers!”

“So what, you can’t take off those glasses or open your eyes wider?!”

“Are you making fun of my small eyes at a time like this??”

    Guess not.

The narrow-eyed priest just had small eyes.

With that exchange, Amon gave up hope in the narrow-eyed priest.

It was time for Amon to take some risks.

Before taking action, Amon asked the priest:

    “Father! Whose car is this?!”

    “It’s mine, but why-“

Before the priest could finish, Amon kicked the door open and shouted.

“File for worker’s compensation with the Vatican!!”

Due to the suddenly opened door, a ninja trying to overtake the car was thrown off his motorcycle.

As a result, the door of the priest’s car was torn off, and

Looking at the receding door through the rearview mirror, the priest cried out.

“No! I haven’t finished paying it off yet!!”

Ignoring the priest’s cry, Amon wrapped the seatbelt around one hand.

Before leaning out of the car, he shouted to the priest.

    “Open the trunk!”

Setting aside his mourning for the door, the priest opened the trunk.

Amon pulled the seatbelt tight to secure it, then leaned his body dangerously far outside.

While the seatbelt wrapped around his right arm held his body, Amon opened the trunk of the moving car.

And with just the strength of his left arm, he pulled out a case.

Slightly scraping the case on the road, Amon returned to the back seat.

He took out Sonia’s weapon and his own weapon from the trunk.

Sonia had a semi-automatic rifle, and Amon had a three-section folding knife.

Even though they were weapons, both were second-hand items, so the quality wasn’t that good.

    But the two were confident.

Pulling the bolt, Sonia asked Amon:

    “Right or left?”

    “From my current perspective, left.”

    “Then I’ll take the right.”

As the priest had said earlier, thanks to the Holy Knights who came as escorts, there were only three pursuers.

One of them had been blown away by Amon along with the door, so only two remained.

The priest tried to stop the two who were preparing for battle.

“It’s dangerous, those are corporate ninjas! Not mere mercenaries!”

“I can see that. They’re sent by Higgjen Group, right?”

At Amon’s answer, the priest was about to ask how he knew but stopped.

Honestly, in this context, there was no one else but Higgjen Group who would send ninjas.

This was such an obvious fact that it was embarrassing to even call it deduction.

With that answer, Amon leaned out of the car once more.

He placed the sword between his fingers and analyzed the current situation.

Right now, Amon was being chased by Higgjen Group.

    Their goal was kidnapping.

If their aim had been to kill, the attack coming from the opening left arm would have been a grenade or rocket, not a sonic wave.

    ‘That’s fortunate.’

Under these conditions, they could do it.

Of course, no matter how talented Amon and Sonia were, it was impossible to defeat Higgjen’s ninjas who were covered head to toe with the corporation’s new weapons and money.

But escaping from them wasn’t impossible.

Amon extended his arm with the sword far back.

Then he threw the sword horizontally, like skipping a stone.

    Whoosh!

With a sound that seemed impossible to come from a sword, the ninja’s bike exploded.

Of course, even though the bike exploded, the ninja was fine.

The corporate capital’s crystallization, wrapped in special alloy instead of protein, wasn’t even scratched by the bike explosion.

But no matter how excellent a ninja is, it’s impossible to chase a car running at full speed on foot.

If that were possible, they wouldn’t have appeared on bikes in the first place.

So the ninja left in the middle of the highway could only stare blankly at the priest’s receding car.

When Amon returned to the back seat, Sonia, who had been leaning out the window, also came back inside.

The bike of the ninja on the right, whom she was supposed to handle, also had its tires burst, making further pursuit impossible.

    “Good job, Sonia.”

Since Sonia’s door hadn’t been torn off, her chest was deformed as it got caught in the narrow car window when she returned to the car.

Amon quickly etched that scene into his memory and praised her.

    “You’re amazing, as always.”

It was a compliment with two meanings—about her shooting and her size.

However, for Sonia, it was a welcome compliment either way, so she responded with a smile.

Having shaken off the ninjas’ pursuit and leaving the handling of the lagging ninjas to the Holy Knights, they continued on their way.

Although one door had been torn off, all windows were broken, and scratches and knife marks were left all over, the car still ran well.

But the priest driving the car couldn’t help feeling complicated.

    “My installment payments…”

Although exorcists earn quite a bit, they don’t earn enough to be okay with turning a car on installment into scrap metal after just one month.

While the priest was seriously considering whether to request insurance coverage from the Vatican as he drove the almost certainly totaled car,

A conversation between Amon and Sonia could be heard from the back seat.

Sonia put her gun back in its case and looked with sad eyes at Amon’s empty case.

    “Aren’t you sad about it?”

Although it was second-hand, it was still an expensive sword.

It would have cost all of Amon’s pocket money for several years.

But Amon didn’t seem to mind at all.

“Is money important? Life is what matters.”

He wasn’t just saying it; he genuinely thought so.

‘There’s no save point in real life.’

If the sword he had brought had been a graduation gift from his swordsmanship master, Amon might have hesitated.

But what he had brought this time was just a foldable sword that was convenient to carry around, so he could throw it without hesitation.

    This wasn’t the only reason.

    “And you’re more important.”

    “Amon…!”

Sonia blushed at Amon, who now made cheesy remarks without hesitation since they had become lovers, while the priest’s eyebrows twitched.

With that line as a catalyst, the back seat filled with a pink atmosphere.

The priest, already upset about his car becoming a rag, found the two extremely annoying.

In the midst of this, Sonia spoke to the priest.

“Um, Father. If it’s alright with you, could you buy a new sword for our Amon?”

That request finally snapped the priest’s precarious self-control.

    “Miss Sonia.”

    “Yes?”

    “Do you have no conscience?”
