Ch.175With one heart and one mind
by fnovelpia
Serena slashed Wind Shear horizontally, completely dispersing the black mana accumulated around her. The sensation of those things stealthily draining her life force was always unpleasant.
Moreover, she had been forced to watch her lord being kidnapped while her life force was being drained by the black mana. The trauma from that moment resurfaced, causing her to swing her sword even more aggressively.
After literally emptying the surrounding space of everything, Serena looked around. Her first priority was to figure out where she was.
She hadn’t felt the sensation of her body being thrown beyond space, so she probably hadn’t been cast outside.
But there was no particular insight to be gained. The space had flipped dozens of times, causing Serena to partially lose her sense of direction.
She had cleanly cut through the collapsing sky with Wind Shear, but the aftermath was the problem. Serena could cut through space, but she couldn’t manipulate it.
Even if she tried to follow the pull of her soul, that pull was too faint. In the end, Serena chose to simply walk forward.
It was a viable option since the pull, while dim, wasn’t completely absent.
“That bitch…”
Serena gritted her teeth as she recalled the voice she had heard just before falling into this place.
It was a voice she had heard before. The bitch who had kidnapped her lord. That bitch had definitely been speaking. In a way, she thought it was fortunate. She could achieve her revenge sooner.
Her grip tightened on Wind Shear. She wanted to execute that bitch with her own hands, no matter what.
That bitch had forced her, a knight, to bear the worst dishonor. Serena absolutely had to kill her personally.
“Where do you think you’re going? Hmm?”
Her steps didn’t get far before stopping. Serena heard the voice of that bitch who deserved to be torn to pieces. Her ice-cold blue eyes turned toward the source of the sound.
There stood the bitch with an equally cold expression—someone Serena could never forget and should never forget.
Just like before, she had an absurdly large, worn greatsword diagonally piercing her heart.
“Finally, you appear.”
Serena gripped Wind Shear with both hands and infused her body with mana, preparing to charge at the bitch. Last time, she had been helplessly defeated, but this time would be different.
The main reason Serena had been one-sidedly defeated back then was that she couldn’t properly cut through the black mana.
With both offense and defense unstable, she had her life force drained with each hit she took, becoming helplessly weakened. Even when she managed to cut through the black mana after tremendous effort, she couldn’t inflict proper damage.
But now things were different.
She had gained confidence in her ability to cut through them after repelling the black mana that had poured from the sky earlier. Now, she could probably inflict meaningful damage to that bitch’s main body.
Of course, merely inflicting damage wouldn’t be enough—she needed to cut off her head.
“A sword? You really chose a useless weapon.”
Olivia mocked Serena and created a sword in her right hand.
It looked almost identical to the greatsword piercing her heart. The only difference was that unlike the original, which was worn and completely toothless, this one was pristine without a single scratch.
The implication was clear despite her mockery of Serena’s choice to use a sword while choosing to fight with a sword herself.
She intended to completely crush Serena’s pride.
“You know, I’m jealous of you all. I’m so jealous I can’t stand it. Master is mine, only mine. I hate the very fact that there’s something else in Master’s heart besides me. In my heart, there’s only Master, but in Master’s heart, it’s not just me. So at first, I wanted to kill you all. I was going to kill everyone, destroy the world along with them, and live happily ever after with just Master and me. But then I thought, simply killing you would be too merciful, wouldn’t it? You bitches who dared to take my Master away, who settled in my Master’s heart—killing you cleanly would be too compassionate, right?”
Olivia casually swung the greatsword that matched her height with one hand. Though it looked like she was merely waving her arm, the power behind it was tremendous.
Even if Serena protected herself with mana, the moment that casually swung greatsword made direct contact, something would definitely be shattered.
“So, I changed my mind. I won’t kill you.”
The tip of the greatsword pointed at Serena.
“I’ll peel off all your skin and decorate our honeymoon home with you still alive.”
“…What did you just say?”
In response to Olivia’s statement about turning her into furniture, the holy power flowing from Christine’s body intensified.
Furniture? That would have been fine. If God had wanted to use Christine as a chair to sit on, Christine would have gladly offered her back or thighs for God to use as He pleased.
If God had wanted to use Christine as a tool, Christine would have been more than willing to be used. She would have even begged to be used that way.
If the one giving orders was her God, Christine would have blindly followed any incomprehensible command and gladly worked hard to fulfill God’s wishes.
But that thing was not Christine’s God.
That thing was a demon who had taken God away from Christine, a heretic bound to false teachings, a non-believer who did not believe in God.
Yet, that thing was now speaking irreverently to Christine without knowing its place. Christine stared at Olivia with lifeless eyes.
Olivia also couldn’t hide her displeasure as she looked at Christine.
“You… that bitch’s aura has grown stronger in you? I was wondering what you’d been up to, but it seems you’ve seen something from the past? Your already irritating aura has become even more irritating. Yes, I’ll take special care in dismantling you. I’ll stretch every organ, every muscle into long threads and decorate the room with them. And I’ll hang your head on the door. So you can eternally watch how well-matched Master and I are as a couple. Yes, that sounds good. By dealing with you, I’ll also be getting revenge on those who separated Master and me in the past. How convenient, right? Let’s do that.”
As soon as she finished speaking, black mana gathered on the floor. The gathered black mana began transforming into the shapes of monsters.
Hideous teeth formed, bulging muscles appeared, and long claws and talons emerged. The variety was immense, from quadrupedal creatures to those resembling humans.
Christine quietly drew upon her holy power, but these monsters merely hesitated when entering the range of her holy power, rather than being purified and disappearing or melting away like ordinary monsters.
They did seem to take damage as their skin burned slightly, but that was all.
“You use holy power, don’t you? Well, being torn apart by monsters wouldn’t be bad either. No, that’s exactly what I should do. Aren’t monsters weak to holy power? Go ahead and try all you want. I can make plenty more.”
The monsters had already far exceeded a countable number. Every place Christine’s gaze fell was teeming with monsters.
She mentally estimated their number. At the very minimum, there were over 10,000. Being a bit pessimistic, perhaps five or six times that amount.
It was clear that the visible monsters weren’t all of them. If Christine succeeded in eliminating them all, Olivia would simply create as many as she had killed.
But that didn’t matter.
Christine clenched her fist. No matter how many heretics there were, no matter what stood in her way, as long as her God was with her, Christine would never be broken.
“The timelines are overlapping.”
Charlotte, with her Dragon’s Eye activated, was facing off against Olivia. Around them, countless magic circles had already been laid, creating a situation that could explode at any moment.
Half of the magic circles were blue, and the other half were black, making it easy to guess who they belonged to.
Unlike Olivia, who maintained a relaxed expression despite the standoff, Charlotte was frowning, displaying emotions close to confusion.
Three timelines overlapping in that bitch’s body. In other words, that bitch was appearing in three places simultaneously.
Though it was hard to believe, Charlotte didn’t doubt her own eyes. So the fact that that bitch was appearing in three places at once was likely true.
It was also easy to guess where those three places were. One right here in front of Charlotte, one in front of that sword-swinging idiot, and one in front of that crazy woman.
However, this didn’t mean Olivia had split into three. Olivia was still just one entity.
Throughout all timelines, only one.
Yet she existed in three places simultaneously, making it understandable why Charlotte couldn’t figure out what was going on.
“Return my husband. If you do, I’ll specially grant you mercy and cut your neck without pain.”
Charlotte told the lie without batting an eye. It was obviously a lie. There was no way Charlotte would give Olivia a clean death.
“Husband?”
The part Olivia reacted to wasn’t Charlotte’s arrogance in her certainty of victory, nor was it the lie about granting mercy.
It was the word “husband.” Olivia immediately raised the corners of her mouth in a sneer at Charlotte’s use of the word.
“A virgin who’s never embraced a man. How dare you spout such nonsense.”
Charlotte brushed off those words nonchalantly. Of course she was a virgin since she had no memory of sleeping with a boy yet.
After realizing true love, she had decided to give her first time to the one she adored, and it was right to maintain a pure body for that purpose.
Although the fulfillment of that decision had been delayed, causing over a hundred years to pass, the fact that a woman had preserved her purity for a long time to offer to the one she loved should be a positive, not a negative, for a man.
“…But that’s probably not what she truly meant.”
Yet Charlotte couldn’t shake off the strange feeling. Was the virgin comment really just about Charlotte’s lack of experience with men?
It felt like there was a hidden meaning. Yes, unlike Charlotte who was still a virgin, she had experience with men—
When her thoughts reached that point, Charlotte emanated killing intent.
“…You bitch.”
“Oh? You figured it out? I was wondering when to tell you, but you’ve saved me the trouble.”
Olivia giggled. Figured it out? That tone, which seemed to affirm Charlotte’s thoughts, made Charlotte feel like her blood was boiling in reverse.
“Hehe, how foolish. While you all were holed up in your rooms like losers, what do you think I did after taking Master to our honeymoon home? Hmm?”
“…”
“Want me to tell you what Master likes? Master really enjoys when I take him all the way to the back of my throat at once. Pushing it all the way in, using my throat like a pussy to stimulate him. Though he tries to maintain a calm expression, the corners of his mouth twitch, and when I gently stimulate the base of his shaft with my tongue, he can’t hold back and releases all his seed inside me. And then… Oh, is this talk too early for a ‘virgin’ like you? I still have so much more to tell.”
After finishing her words, Olivia sneered and gently caressed her lower abdomen. Charlotte immediately understood the meaning behind that gesture.
The hand was pointing to where a woman’s womb would be, which meant…
“For instance, how Master’s seed got in here.”
Fire sparked in Charlotte’s eyes.
“You…”
“Fucking bitch.”
Though Serena, Charlotte, and Christine deeply disliked each other, at this moment they were united in spirit, uttering the same words.
And they shared the same thought.
To tear that bitch’s lower abdomen to shreds.
