Chapter Index

It had been quite an enjoyable beach trip.

Though it was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t share the final night’s sleep as I wanted,

I decided to think of it as the blessing of a general audience rating.

Sleeping under the same blanket with Siyeong and Teacher Miso wasn’t so bad either.

After finishing all our activities at the beach and returning home,

for a while, it was back to the ordinary daily routine.

Of course, it wasn’t completely ordinary.

For Siyeong and me, we didn’t have to go to school since it was vacation.

Just thinking about it makes me excited.

    Yippee!

Since I didn’t have any special plans for the vacation,

I spent my time quite leisurely.

Lounging in bed well past the time when others went to work,

then waking up around lunchtime—this incredibly lazy lifestyle.

    It’s the best!

Didn’t someone say that once you start working at a company, you’ll miss school again?

    That’s absolutely true.

No summer vacation from work could ever beat a summer break from school.

However, unlike Ban Doyoung who relied on her pretty face to slack off,

our Do Hamin diligently attended supplementary classes and went to school even right after returning from the trip.

And just like during the semester, when his supplementary classes ended around lunchtime or afternoon,

he would invariably come to my house to receive kendo lessons from me.

    Because of that, I too.

No matter how late I stayed in bed, I had to wake up about two hours before he finished his supplementary classes to prepare to welcome him.

After all, I couldn’t possibly teach him with my hair all disheveled and drool on my face just ten minutes after waking up.

I had to wash my face and remove the sleep from my eyes,

wash away the oil from my hair with freesia-scented shampoo,

and at least pat some basic skincare on my face and arms.

That way, when we had close physical contact during kendo lessons,

this guy might respond to the scent emanating from Miss Ban Doyoung’s body.

The most important thing was not to let him know that I had just woken up and hurriedly prepared right before meeting him.

‘I was already up, and I usually shower and do basic makeup at home anyway.’

‘I didn’t specifically prepare because you were coming.’

‘You say I smell nice? That’s just my natural scent.’

That was the impression I needed to give.

To do that, I couldn’t have wet hair that looked freshly washed.

I needed to finish preparing two hours in advance so my hair would be dry.

After all, scents waft better from completely dried hair than from wet hair.

Of course, Miss Ban Doyoung is the world’s most beautiful girl even without all that,

and she naturally exudes a fragrant, citrusy lime scent even when doing nothing,

but who says geniuses shouldn’t put in effort?

As a result, except for weekends, I couldn’t really sleep in past noon during vacation.

The nagging king Ban Doche and the kendo queen Madam Chuk Junsuk in our house wouldn’t allow it anyway.

Of course, on weekends when I had no plans to meet Hamin, I naturally became sluggish.

One such morning, as I was still wrapped in my blanket creating a whirlwind potato, unable to leave my bed,

    -Knock knock

‘Doyoung, do you have any special plans for today?’

    ‘…Huh?’

Suddenly, my mom knocked on the door and peeked her face through the gap.

“Well. Rolling around in bed all day.”

“I see, that sounds busy. Then I guess it can’t be helped.”

    “…Is, is it something important?”

Half-jokingly answering, I was surprised by my mom’s calm acceptance,

so I lowered my posture like a thief stepping back and asked her.

“No, nothing too important. You can just keep lying there.”

“Wh-what is it? I’ll at least hear you out.”

“Well, just. Solyeong and her teacher were supposed to go to a wedding shop today to look at dresses. But something urgent came up, and Solyeong can’t go with her. So I was wondering if you might go with her… But alas, it seems the strict snake-eyed mother-in-law will have to accompany her instead.”

    “…What! I’ll go! I’m super free!”

    Woohoo, found something fun♥

    So lucky♥

    .

    .

    .

And so we visited the wedding shop my mom recommended.

It was quite a renowned local establishment, run by a dress designer with a long history.

I wanted to invite Hamin too, but since this wasn’t a pre-arranged schedule,

I couldn’t bring myself to call him, even though it was the weekend, as he lived two hours away one-way.

It would have been a waste of Teacher Miso’s time as well.

“But why did only student Doyoung come with me? If it’s a wedding shop your mother recommended, wouldn’t it have been nice if she came along too? She could reminisce about old memories.”

“She didn’t tell me the details… I think she said she got her dress fitted here, but feels a bit embarrassed every time she visits. Anyway, she feels uncomfortable showing her face at the store.”

“Ah… Your mother. She seems to be unexpectedly shy or easily embarrassed.”

“Judging by what she does with Dad at night, I don’t think so.”

    “D-Doyoung student…! Such talk should be hushed…!”

“I’m sorry for being late! I’ve just picked out dresses that match Yeo Miso bride’s size!”

After measuring Teacher Miso’s body measurements,

while we were sitting in the guest chairs chatting,

an employee who had confused which of us was getting married approached us with several dresses.

“I… I’m sorry about earlier. I made such a ridiculous mistake.”

“So, in your eyes, I looked like a woman of marriageable age? I understand perfectly.”

    “Ah, no… that’s…!”

“Doyoung student, that’s enough. I’m sorry, my student has quite a playful nature… She didn’t mean any harm.”

Teacher Miso soothed the repeatedly bowing employee while holding up the hem of the dress to keep it from touching the floor.

“Ah… so you’re a school teacher. I apologize. You look so youthful that I could have believed you were a high school student rather than a high school teacher.”

“Oh, no. It’s fine. That just means you think I look young! I’m not angry!”

“That’s right, our teacher. It’s important because she’s marrying a younger man.”

“That comment will make me angry, Doyoung student.”

“Aha, I see! Don’t worry about that. To make up for my rudeness, I will definitely! Make you look like such a young bride that your younger groom might get arrested by the police!”

“I-I wasn’t hoping for that much!”

I think I heard that summer wedding staff are mostly burned out after the peak season.

But this wedding shop employee seemed full of enthusiasm despite it being a holiday morning.

Starting with the most traditional white wedding dress,

there were dresses prepared in more diverse colors than I expected.

Thanks to it being the relatively off-season summer wedding period,

there were quite a few unreserved extra dresses available.

“Since it’s a summer wedding, and I heard you’re having a beach ceremony, I brought some dresses in colors that would suit the ocean. Miss Yeo Miso has a slim and petite figure, so it’s easy to adjust the sizes. You can try on various dresses and choose the one you like best.”

“C-can I really try on all of these?”

“Of course. You should choose carefully to capture your most beautiful moment.”

“Th-then… I’ll start with this white dress you brought first… After all, I’ve always wanted to try on the most traditional dress at least once.”

“Yes, of course. It’s many women’s dream. I’ll help you put it on, so please come this way.”

    “Ah, yes…!”

Teacher Miso followed the employee’s guidance, opened the changing room door, and went inside.

“Oh, finally I get to see it. Our teacher’s new skin.”

I had my phone camera ready in one hand.

This was the perfect opportunity to capture the best shot to sell to our household’s eldest son.

“I guess changing into a wedding dress takes time… With Teacher Miso’s waist, the corset might actually be loose and slip down. Hehehe.”

As I was alone imagining how Teacher Miso would look coming out of the changing room,

    -Slide

The closed changing room door opened, and Teacher Miso in a pure white dress slowly walked out with the employee’s guidance.

“What do you think, student? Doesn’t your teacher look completely transformed?”

    “Oh, ohh….”

Even without makeup or hairstyling to match the outfit, just wearing the dress alone,

Teacher Miso in her wedding dress was dazzlingly beautiful.

“What do you think? Even from another woman’s perspective, she’s breathtakingly beautiful, right?”

“Yes, if I had a penis, it would be standing at attention.”

    “Eh?”

Indeed, the talk about preserving the most beautiful moment wasn’t just empty courtesy.

As expected of a wedding shop recommended by my mom.

    Damn you, Ban Solyeong.

You’re getting such a beautiful woman.

    No, you already got her.

“Now, Bride Yeo Miso. Please look at this mirror. You should see for yourself.”

    “…”

Teacher Miso, who had been closing her eyes in anxiety, slowly opened them toward the direction the employee was pointing.

    “…Mmph.”

    “Mmph…?”

    “Mmph-waaaaaah…!”

    “S-suddenly?”

Upon seeing her bridal appearance reflected in the mirror, Teacher Miso suddenly started crying loudly as if her soul had been swapped with Solmi.

“T-Teacher…! What’s wrong? Did this employee tighten the corset too much?”

“No… It’s not that… The moment I saw myself in the dress… All these thoughts came rushing in… Happy, grateful, sorry, sad, regretful, joyful. Loving… Anyway, I, I don’t even know myself… Waaaaaah…!”

“This happens often. Many people cry when they stand in front of the mirror wearing our dresses. It means we’ve touched the bride’s heart.”

The employee nodded as if this wasn’t the first time.

“Emotions aside, I can’t take a photo like this. I need to send it to our household’s eldest son.”

“Sniff sniff… S-sorry, Doyoung student. But this dress here. It’s really amazing. If I remember this feeling, no matter what hardships come after marriage, I feel like Solyeong and I can overcome them with love…!”

    “R-really…?”

“Hohoho, did you see? The power of our shop’s wedding dresses.”

“No, this could just be because our teacher is emotionally sensitive. Our teacher is naturally a crybaby.”

“…Would you like to try one on too, student? Our shop’s wedding dress.”

“…I guess I have no choice.”

    I immediately unzipped my pants.
