Ch.171171. Homework Complete.

“Oh. Wow. Wow. You’re just letting me go? The plane’s taking off, but it’s not going to explode in mid-air, right? Oppa, if it’s going to explode, do you have to take me with you?”
Sujeong Kim made a fuss as she sat in first class on the plane heading to Seoul, seemingly unable to believe it.
While I was talking with the Murim Alliance Leader, Sujeong apparently enjoyed some delicious food.
“Chinese food was really good. I only thought about street junk food before, but I guess it makes sense that the good Chinese dishes would be delicious too.”
Although we left the Murim Alliance in a hurry, we stayed two more days at the five-star hotel they arranged for us. Their excuse was that sending guests away immediately would damage China’s reputation, but as time passed, I suspected they were keeping me there to see if the ability given to Li Suin might disappear or if there was some trick involved.
Nothing like that happened, so we just enjoyed the free meals and rest before heading back.
The problem was that during those two days, Li Suin kept visiting.
I stayed holed up in my room, just watching dramas on my tablet, but Sujeong said she went sightseeing around the Chinese city with Li Suin.
“Suin is super nice and pretty, right? If I had to pick the epitome of Chinese beauty, I’d definitely choose Suin. Her mom is apparently a really famous actress in China too. When I saw her, they looked exactly alike.”
“Don’t get too friendly with her.”
“Why? I already added her on social media. We exchanged numbers too.”
“…”
“Suin said you’re really cool. Said she fell for you at first sight? You went to the farm too, right? She was curious about Lulu, so I kindly explained everything.”
“Sigh. Enough. Enough.”
My efforts were wasted due to Sujeong’s meddling.
“Don’t think about bringing her over. There’s nothing good about adding unnecessary mouths.”
“Oppa, of course. Do you take me for some pushover? I was actually going to ask you to only bring truly necessary people to the farm. Like does she have any useful skills like Sister Jihyun’s alchemy? In that sense, I was a bit disappointed this time.”
“Why?”
“About the SS-rank ability. I was secretly hoping for it. Ah! Of course, it would’ve been nice to have, but you didn’t seem interested in learning it anyway.”
Thankfully, Sujeong didn’t say anything thoughtless like bringing Li Suin to the farm because she’s cute.
She even expressed some mild complaints about giving away the ability.
It might sound ungrateful, but it was also understandable.
“I was actually planning to give it to you.”
“…Really?”
This wasn’t just empty talk.
I had no intention of filling my combat ability slot with an SS-rank ability, and letting it go to waste would be pointless, so someone had to learn it.
Naturally, that someone would be either Sujeong or Jihyun from the farm, and if I had to choose between them, it made more sense for Sujeong, my sister who handles the overall operations of the farm, to learn it rather than Jihyun.
Plus, Sujeong was already learning magic, even if it was just C-rank.
If that ability were upgraded to SS-rank, it would be useful for cooking, farming, or anywhere mana was needed.
One could argue that Jihyun, who uses mana, might be more suitable for such fields.
But ultimately, if I had to decide who was more important to me, it was Sujeong, and having an SS-rank combat ability to protect the farm would be the right choice, especially considering future events in the Farming World that might apply to the Rift Dimension.
That was my thinking, but now that there was actually a use for it, what should I do?
“I guess you needed the SS-rank necklace. Still, it’s a bit disappointing. Didn’t you lose too much?”
“Well, I can get ability selection rights again soon enough.”
I couldn’t specifically mention the SS-rank ability selection right, but considering that an SS-rank ability selection right appeared in a level 1 biome, and the main quests consistently provide SSS+ ability selection rights, there will be many opportunities to obtain ability selection rights in the future.
I judged that I could use these to strengthen the abilities of people on my farm, building up the farm’s strength, and occasionally exchange them for essential items like this without feeling lacking.
When that time comes, I’ll need to give one each to Sujeong and Jihyun so I won’t have to worry about their safety.
By the time we reach level 3-4 biomes, it becomes annoying to go back and forth to home, so we’ll need to camp and return to base occasionally through the rift dimension, making self-defense capabilities at the base extremely important.
“…I was just teasing, but your sincere response makes me feel awkward. I guess only you look after your sister like this.”
“Just don’t keep in touch with Li Suin. There’s something off about her gaze. She seems like she’ll cling to us for no reason.”
“Seems like? She’s already doing that, I think. She told me she’s going to convince her grandfather to get a Farmings VVIP membership.”
“Fine. At least let her pay money to bother us.”
“Come on. Oppa, you’ve never even dated, but now you’ve got Sister Hyoju, Sister Kellin, and Suin. Are you collecting heroines from each country? Is this a harem?”
“Did I create this situation? I’m married to the Rift Dimension.”
“Please keep it that way. I’m asking as someone who contributes about 3% to the farm.”
First class was definitely nice.
It might not be as good as Kellin’s private jet, but the comfort of being able to lie down like on a bed right after takeoff makes the multi-million won ticket seem worth it.
Plus, they serve meals during the short flight.
“Oh, right. Oppa, is it okay that you logged in and out with Suin? You’re logging in again soon, right?”
“I upgraded it to 2 stacks, remember?”
“Ah, so that’s what it meant? You can use it twice regardless of cooldown?”
“Yeah.”
The 5-day cooldown since logging out before the auction has already passed.
The stacks, which charge up to 2 times each, were fully charged, and after logging in and out with Li Suin, I now have 1 use left for each.
In that state, 2 days have passed, and I’m planning to log in tomorrow or the day after, so there’s no need to wait for the remaining cooldown time.
“That’s nice. If you upgrade it more later, we could go back and forth whenever needed.”
“It’s too expensive.”
The plane arrived quickly, and we were able to exit first through the hunter-exclusive immigration checkpoint.
“Whew. Joining Farming Company was such a good decision. In just a month, I’ve been to both America and China.”
Despite her earlier dramatics about possibly dying, Sujeong jumped onto the sofa like someone who had thoroughly enjoyed her trip.
“So I’ll prepare to go the day after tomorrow?”
“Yeah. Ah!”
The homework is done.
I successfully sold the fan, the blood eel omakase went well, created the Farming Company shopping facility and website, revamped the VIP membership system.
On top of that, I secured the needed magical power +1 grade item as a solid SS-rank item.
Most importantly, the meeting with Kim Sol-i, whom I had decided to bring along this time, was also arranged.
I thought I had completed all my tasks, but as I was organizing everything, I realized one thing remained.
“To bring Sol-i along, I’ll need to upgrade the login after all.”
The current capacity is 3 people including myself, so I can log in just fine now, but to bring Jihyun, Sol-i, and Sujeong all together, I’d either need to go back and forth twice or upgrade the login/logout level.
Maybe leave one person at the farm?
“Sigh.”
If I were in the Farming World, I’d say, “What’s the point of coming out? Just stay at the farm and take turns coming out like requesting leave from the military.”
But reality—the Rift Dimension—is not the Farming World.
Treating people that way will eventually cause problems.
I could treat Sujeong that way because we’ve lived together since she was young, but other people should be treated with respect even if casually.
They’re people who will build the farm with me, not slaves I can order around like NPCs.
Above all, the farm will continue to grow.
So despite the cost, I’ll need to keep upgrading the login/logout level.
I should upgrade it now while I still have points left, even if it’s expensive.
Especially with Jihyun, Sujeong, and Sol-i.
Although I haven’t fully figured out Sol-i’s personality yet, since she won’t be staying briefly, it seemed good to secure enough capacity for everyone.
